  • Color XC70

    After 3 years of V70 the countdown for a new car is running. Since my government was unfortunately not convincing of the XC90 despite extensive test drive, and I wanted a little more ground clearance and AWD, it becomes an XC70. Only with the color I do me somehow heavy. All my cars were so far blue. The barents blue on the card at the dealer looks somehow like a dusty black. At all the colors are so dark that I can see on the card no real difference between black, cassis, barents blue and cdargreen. Ocean race is unfortunately from (heul)… Long speech – do you have a recommendation for the coloration (if possible with a photo). Only white and silver I exclude from the beginning.

  • Why a radio clock in the moose is not a luxury…

    Sunday, around 14:00. Why do they make a noise on the radio from 13:00 o’clock? Oh yes, there was something, summer time is over. So the radio alarm clock is brought and all other clocks are changed in the morning. When it gets colder in the evening, the heating from the elk is quickly set to 06:00 departure time, on Monday morning getting up already hard, it should at least be pleasantly warm in the car. The next morning: in the bathroom I would have to hear the quite loud SH actually. Why does nothing happen, too warm? Suddenly the thought comes to be forgotten… Shit, clock in the elk. The SH has run already an hour too early, meanwhile the car is already cold again and the windows from the outside beat. Of course, a radio clock is not life-saving and certainly not buying, but even if an old Audi A3 has a radio clock in the basic equipment, could Volvo also slowly – or do I demand too much?

  • Question on the heating system

    Hello Volvisti, drive a Volvo XC90 D5 since April 05 and have now programmed the heater for the first time in the last nights. What I notice is that the cooling water is not quite cold anymore and the windows are not fogged/ iced (so it should be), but of pleasant temperature in the car I can’t find anything (even after 60 minutes). Therefore my question to you: Is this normal? If yes, the power to de-iron the windows is sufficient even if it gets really cold (-20°C and lower) ? already in advance thank you for your answers … Gruss Walther

  • Consumption increases slowly but continuously

    Good morning together. With my moose the consumption indicator continues to rise. I drive almost only urban traffic. Rather cozy. Acceleration orgies are also not part of my driving style. Nevertheless, the consumption of 10.8 liters , in April , has increased to today 12.4 liters . Every month something came with it… The engine itself runs like a clockwork. Jumps reliably and has immediately round and quiet running. Also when driving, no abnormalities. Well, it doesn’t bother me when it consumes so much, but it irritates me nevertheless. Should it be normal, then good. If not, where could you look after it? What should be cleaned up?? What do you consume with this engine? S80 with 204 hp At the time 153,000. Error memory has not yet been read out. Thank you for tips and hints.

  • Long-term experience HEICO, BSR, … (km stand, defects, …)

    Hello together, I’m looking for long-term experiences to increase the performance of Heico and / or BSR. How high are your km running performance with chip? Did you have defects after the chipping (which were the kind)? Can you recommend the chipping without hesitation? Admittedly, so far I find quite few problems and no, I’m not looking for them. 🙂 Because of a defect we had to replace our old Volvo quickly and there we ended up with a S60 D3 (switch – was mandatory condition and just stood at the dealer… :-)). This is super beautiful, but we lack a few PS to our old 2.5T… Greetings! PS.: someone knows if the V40 D4 is identical to the S60 D3 (2012) so is only different by the control unit?

  • Farewell to the V70

    So dear elk community! After 3 years and 5 months I separate myself from my V70 2,4 D (with matte, switched 143PS), which has nevertheless never let me down. He was not a really exciting car, but I did not expect that from him as an experienced Volvist either. At the 100 Td he on his digital clock and his venezial red will soon be missing me, when I will then line up in the silver or black unit porridge. Except for an electrically sounding internal mirror – of which I have doubted for a very long time – he had no flaws or flaws. All the service ran according to plan and that he has a new left mirror is only due to my lack of measure of sight and not to a defect. Otherwise I will almost say goodbye to him as he came to me – apart from a few scratches and dents, which have given him a few unobservable park neighbor. I may drive him for a while, but I have sold him and with it I would start with the grievous work of the combined. 70 I would only appreciate him unreliably.

  • Processing quality of the 185 HP V70/S60

    To all owners of a new 185 HP Diesel V 70 or S 60 (AWD). In various threads the processing quality of our elk was discussed. I drive a V 70, MJ 2001 with almost 90,000 km on the clock. But on the whole I have to find satisfied that the processing in the interior, especially the center console and partly door panels, handles inside as well as dashboard could be a bit better, since one or other plastic noise occurs when the streets are not topfeben. Which of the drivers of the above-mentioned new elk has comparative experiences and can give a statement about the processing quality in the interior for a short time!?   • Do women also drive the XC90 ?

    Hello, we had almost decided for the Q7, but I (woman) did not get along in the parking garage with the long length and the one-piece huge cargo compartment flap swings so high that I didn’t get to it anymore. But we don’t want the electric flap because it is too insecure for us (especially if children are under it). Now maybe the XC90 would be something for us. Is there women who have already driven the Volvo here in the forum, how can you handle it in the parking garage and is it clear?   • S60 is in a coma, total failure electrics

    Before that I made fun of the Volvo guarantee and the assistance, now Volvo has my car by radio or something switched off Total failure electrics! And I wanted to start in 30min to a Volvo meeting (from the Volvo forum.de) I immediately called the assistance and complained about the shutdown of my elk. Cann’t be like that, just because you’re blasphemed about VCG in 45min the ADAC will be there anyway… I’ll report… such a SCHEISS at least nothing is going on anymore. The S60 stands with open window in the garage entrance, fortunately it doesn’t look like rain. All electrics is dead. If you put the ignition key on position 2 you can hear all the relays in the dashboard clacking. Maybe only the battery has collapsed. Although the car was not closed, the trunk is locked. Can I try the emergency opening with the ignition key right now.
