  • Decision-making aid

    Hello all together, new car is on and I can’t decide. to choose from: xc90 diesel summum or sport the xc90 I find very nice and practical, I only have the fear that it is too lame in the long run. I drive in the year at least 30,000 km and also like a little bit more brisk. or should I wait for the new V70, which comes in the summer. Maybe you can give me a few thoughts, would you really appreciate it! Greetings

  • XC90 springs KW/H&R/Eibach

    Hi guys, I’m looking for lowering springs for my XC90 and I found offers from KW, H&R and Eibach. Are actually all three good providers, nevertheless I would be interested in possible reviews and especially photos. Did someone install feathers of the mentioned providers? Thank you in advance! Best regards Robert P.S. Oh yes, before the big crucifixion starts here. I do not race with my XC90 and also not into the terrain. So I am interested in No comments about the sense and nonsense of lowering an SUV. My shock absorbers are brand new, so there are no other problems and no reasons why I should buy a complete suspension now. And yes, I only drive so a bowl to compensate for my height (1,72m). Thank you!

  • XC 90 when 16″ when 17″ brake system?

    Hello, I have a question about the braking system in the XC90. There are at least 2 variants for the thick ship. A 16″ and a 17″ system. In some Fred I had read that all German versions should have installed the 17″ system and the 16″ system is intended for the US market and for EU countries, in which the law must already be implemented meaningfully (speed limit, etc.) Today I wanted to make my brake and see that I have a 16″ system inside (slice diameter 31 cm so 316 mm = 16″; 17″=336 mm). Although I should have actually had a 17″. But I am certainly not there. Now my question, one knows the creteria, which are the reason for a built-in 16″ or 17″ brake system? Is it dependent on the year of construction, engine or something like that? Mine is a 2.5T Bj. 12-04. mfg and thx Rob

  • my 🙂 : Shock absorber “oily” -> change! i: ha?

    Hello Volvo friends! I had my summer tires made up today and mine said that the shock absorbers are “oily” and he recommends that I change them?! He would like to look at what suspension I have (I have to confess that I don’t know that) and then let me know via Tel if they are through now and make me “if necessary” a non-binding offer. My questions now: I have no idea of shock absorbers, so what does oily mean or does that mean that they are broken? are or just want to sell something to me? And if that’s a sign of wear and tear and they have to be changed, then an orientation, how much you pay incl. installation for new ones and which are recommended for “comfort driving” (middle price class for shock absorbers)? I have already informed myself in other contributions and know that the shock absorbers are already easy up to 200Tkm, but there are always black sheep. I can’t imagine that the shock absorbers are really easy to sell. he wants to take money from me, because he really seems to be one of the good ones and I have heard only good from many so far. I thank you in advance for the answers! Bill

  • Buy Volvo s60?

    Hello together! I have had my driver’s license for over 6 years now and have always had the “happiness” to drive my parents’ car. Now it’s time to buy my own car. Since I’ve always been totally into Volvo, I’ve decided to drive the S60. After a long search, I finally found an S60 that suits me. However, I don’t know if the offer corresponds to the price/performance ratio. Here are the most important dates: Volvo S60 2.4, Limousine/Celebration Number of owners: 3 Power: 103 kW (140 hp) First registration: 2002 120,000 km The car is sapphire black metallic and has a dark grey full leather equipment. Light signs of wear can be seen outside. In other words, a small dent at the rear left door, a few small scratches at different places. In the interior the armrest is totally scratched (supposedly you cannot replace the lid, but would have to remove the complete center console). n is due at 140,000 km. So are some 100€ in the near future again. Winter tyres are not included. The price should be 650€. However, I have been able to agree with the car dealership at 600€. Do you think this price is reasonable? Or should the car dealership go down even more or meet with services? I pay cash by the way. Thank you in advance!!!

  • XC90, nearly 3 years old and failed at the TÜV

    Hello, I’m totally frustrated. My XC90 will be 3 years old at the end of August, has just 48,000 km down and has failed today at the TÜV due to serious defects. Reason: the track rod head at the front right is defective It can’t really be… I already have an appointment with the friendly one, fortunately still within the time limit of 3 years.

  • Volvo XC 90 NEW 200 hp diesel

    Hello people ! I’m new here and greet all of you ! I want to ask you for reviews / purchase recommendationsHave already tried the forum search, but no direct, well-founded information found) : Actually I intend to order the Volvo XC 90 NEW 200 HP Diesel,and believe it is a good SUV. But, as so often in the forums, there are (also) bad reports about this good vehicle, which I have already read here: Supposedly this SUV (also newer)”knurrig/laut”,and b Can this be true ? I’m interested in real/invented experiences,and not at all any rumors/listening/wrong propaganda, etc. Can someone explain the benefits/disadvantages to me in brief ? Has anyone of you already ordered this,or other vehicles at www.autohaus24.de(belongs to the SIXT) ? They generally offer significantly higher discounts for all new vehicles(as intermediaries) than any dealer nearby(if you do this) ? What about new reimport cars? Since some people research here in the personal environment:I have indicated here to be a tractor driver, since there is no category for (momentane) cyclists! Greetings,Johannes

  • Temperature dependent heavy power steering

    Hello, maybe you can help me. The following problem: About 3 weeks ago I left my S60 (2.4, Bj 02, Benziner, 187tkm) in the open air. Everything was great until then. On Monday afterwards I started it at -9°C and had no servo support. Well, first so at work. In the evening at about -2°C back home, servo steering went “backwise sometimes”. Then my free workshop went to, in the warm workshop the power steering went perfectly. but on advice of the workshop for a new, used servo pump decided. Well, this is installed, but at the error picture nothing has changed: T<-5°C - no servo support -4°C<=T<=+3°C - jerky, partly servo support T>+4°C – full servo support funny noises do not exist, also no error messages. According to the workshop statement the servo pump and the faith also works. Do you have another idea? Thank you in advance!
