Have the red badge and get in my Regio BaWü in almost no city any more. The S 80 has only 80,000 km down and is in top condition. There is a chance for a retrofit. What would you do with a car with a few KM in my place. Logout and wait for miracles. Scrap. Trade in at the Volvo dealer and pay for something. I trusted for a long time on the dealer who wanted to weigh me in safety and always said: Of this variety still many, since There will be a special arrangement, don’t worry about it… .. now I’ve got the red card, uh, badge and a Volvo for which I paged around 25,000 euros in January 2000. Does anyone have an idea for me?

Air conditioning works only a few minutes
Hello! Recently my air conditioning is causing problems, maybe someone can help me. If I start the engine and the climate is switched on in the ECC, the air conditioning compressor works as it should. It switches on and off, depending on the need. This only works for a few minutes, then it no longer switches on. If I then switch off the engine for a few minutes and then start it again, the compressor goes again for a while. If I let the engine run without having to e climate is switched on and then after a few minutes the climate is switched on, so the compressor does not switch on at all. I have already checked the following things: – error memory: no errors – magnetic coupling: That’s not the reason. Both after the broomstick method checked, as well as by measurement – no more switching signal for the coupling comes. – compressor relay: in order – refrigerant level: On the dryer leak traces of the contrast medium are visible. These could be seen from the change of the A too low refrigerant level would also be the first idea of the friendly Volvo master. He thinks this is expressed in exactly the symptom that the compressor is still on at the beginning and no longer on later. Ok, understandably. But why is the compressor no longer going after a few minutes of driving, even if it was not switched on before? Then it can’t be due to a too low refrigerant level, can it? In the workshop, we also briefly looked at the peripheral values of the air conditioning system working at this moment: Compressor switches at about 5 degrees evaporator temp. from time to time at about 9 degrees again. The refrigerant pressure moved between 4 and 7 bar. With warm engine and about 15 degrees in the workshop. Unfortunately, we could not wait until the compressor shuts down. Maybe one of you has an idea? Or maybe someone can explain to me why it is too g eringen refrigerant level can lie? Greeting Matze

Missing underbody protection/motor cladding ?
Hello together, can you tell me if the S60 T5 pre-model maintenance (engine identifier B5234T3) should have such a underbody protection / engine cover? I found an image after endless searches in the net and attached it below. Maybe a T5 driver would be so friendly to look under his Volvo, or one of the part professionals here can help me? At E bäy is such a thing inside, but I’m not sure whether the Turbo petroler was fitted with such a thing, or from any thermo link to the bay Thanks and greeting

Is a V70 diesel worth 14,000 km? Love the torque!
Hello, at the moment there are really more V70 diesels (Bj around 2003) offered as turbo-petrols. At the moment there are 200-hp turbos. I drove 140-hp gasolines the other day. Of course no comparison to the power of the transmission. I also drove a diesels ( 163-hp). It went off just like my 200-hp turbo-petrols. But since the turbos with 200 or 209 hp are sparsely sewn, I thought that a diesel would be in question. However, only with green plaquet. el than for 14,000 km / year? Can they have this from the injection nozzles etc..!!???? Every day 13 km work path back and forth (Landstr). Otherwise highway times local traffic, sometimes long distance (over 50 km…). The diesel are really easier to get than the turbo gasoline. And the 140hp – variant is too lame for me and the 170hp petrolers are also not at every corner! If a diesel comes into question, on what should amn pay attention? Year of construction, max. KM performance, etc? Facelift is to me but to te our!!!!! May only cost 12,000. Thank you

V70 D5 AWD: summer tyre choice and dimension 205 or 215
Hello forum members, I need new summer tires. Currently 215/55/R16 are mounted. In the registration there are 205/55/R16. The latter are available for approx. 70 euros, the dimension 215 is about 40 euros PRO tires more expensive. Is there a noticeable difference for me as a driver between 205 and 215? Optics differs as a rating criterion! Thank you and greetings, Andreas

Engine problems with my V70 II D5
Hello moose drivers, have finally found my moose and already a problem. Since yesterday I have an irregular laxing in idle. Today I listened carefully and found that it definitely comes from the area of the valve cover. Thus I tend to assume that it is a defective hydro. Maybe it is only the oil. Because the previous owner probably made the last oil change on 26.06.2010 and let it fill with Shell Helix 0W30 AC n. Now I have an oil change date shortly and ask you if there is the possibility that the clacking is then gone. What oil do you recommend? Below I attach a sound file, in which the clacking can be heard from about 1:06 to 1:10 in the background. In addition, at the end of the file is a beep to be heard, which can be heard when the engine is switched off. This beep comes from the red-marked area on the attached photo. To the beep came shortly after the motor is switched off. What’s that exactly? (Nock wave adjustment?)Soundfile Maybe you can give me some answers. Hope it’s more or less half as bad. Thank you very much for your time.

Brake discs for S60
Moin. My brake discs at the front have a blow, i.e. when I brake at 160km/h, the brake and the steering wheel vibrate, although they are almost new. Has the previous owner changed, but a bill is not available. Well, once off… but what should – you can probably do nothing. I have used the SuFu and found out that one should not necessarily take ATE, is like sparkling wine or Selters. But Brembo seems to be quite good (there is in the bay for 85 E uro ), as well as carpenter or original ( by Skandix ). Which would you take? Did I have to change the coverings then? They are not yet old. They are for a 2001 D5. Greetings Maik

Child seat rear seat XC70
Hello, the search didn’t really get me any further with my problem. Our child seat “Concord Lift” meanwhile – we had to adjust it accordingly in height to the growth of our daughter – in the middle area of the backrest quite different from the back bench because it is on the headrest. Has someone here tried the child seat “Seat cushion with backrest” from the Volvo accessory range? My dealer doesn’t know if the problem exists there. For many tips already thanks. Michel

Why is my S60 fixed at 225 speedometers?
Hello! I just came back from my holiday in Bavaria. I had to find out on the way out that my S60 is somehow controlled. I ran it over half the distance, i.e. 300 km times with full speed. From Tacho 223 and about 5300 U the engine closed. Even when it went steeply downhill and it still accelerated well, was from 223 jerky end and the needle moved no more milimeter. Are there some models of the S60 with 125 kw motor, which are locked accordingly?
