Hello dear volvofriends! I have now come to the volvotrip and seriously think about buying a V70, only bothers me the front of the old model. the facelift looks really great and so I came to the idea of the facelift model (bj 04) to mount the front to a model bj. 02. goes that at all, in other words, the suspension points of the bumper are the same and what about the headlights? is there something else to consider? would be very grateful to answer well! and we nn you are now wondering why I don’t steal a 04 model right away: the price ;D or are there any other differences? what comes to my mind: what about the niveu regulation of the V70? if it has such a thing, can I still lay it down or can it not or will it become more expensive? many love thanks already!

Retrofit Nivomat ( … and Xenon?)
Hello together, since I will soon need a child seat more in the car I want to have the Nivomat in my V70 retrofitted now, is quite problem-free. After I have already looked around here in the forum on the topic Xenon retrofitting came to me the question, whether with the Nivomat I would not have done already the topic of the required height adjustment for the Xenon. In other words, then I actually need ‘only’ the lamps, ECU and SRA. Thank you in advance!

4C landing gear
Hello Elch municipality. Who of you actually ordered the optional 4C chassis (V70/S60 not R)? I have to say that after 3 years I am extremely disappointed about the performance and durability. Unfortunately, the then bought no vehicle had available for testing, so I spent the almost 1200€. Apart from that the difference between sport and comfort is minimal, already 2 sensors were broken and now also 2 shock absorbers are leaking! How are your experiences with the r Performance and durability? Can I replace the shock absorbers with normal ones and have the 4C module switched off by the software? Did jmd try to install new springs from Eibach, Sachs, HR in combination with the 4C shock absorbers and is there anything like that? The comfort position is too soft for me (in curves too many wave movements) and the sport setting too rough (every cross joint goes through the whole car that it crawls and rattles everywhere). I am constantly playing around, before the Curve still fast pressed on sport and then back to comfort.

Start with Xenon
Does the short oscillator actually damage the Xenon light when starting, if you have the light switch permanently on “2” (on)? 1) Ignition lock on II (light on) 2) Ignition lock on III (engine off, light off for a short time) 3) Ignition lock goes back to II (light goes back on) I read a reboot of the Xenon burner after less than 10 minutes. Cooling down time should greatly reduce the lifespan … Is that true?

Bi-Xenon V70 MY2006 already defective??
Our V70, EZ 10/2005 MY2006 now has almost 95,000 km on the speedometer and yesterday the dipped light of the right bi-xenon headlight went out. First a nice, pink-coloured light, probably festive day coloring 🙂 and now it has completely given up the mind. I was assuming that the bulbs in Xenon headlights would last much longer. What experience do you have with Xenon headlights at Volvo? The 95,000 km were mostly drained with driving light, even during the day. A former DB E270CDI with Xenon returned to the leasing with the original pears at 150,000 km after 2 years. What is the cost of the exchange? I will only be able to find out about it after the holidays with the friendly……. Weird, there are ALWAYS some unplanned costs at Christmas as well…… Still more happy party, Horst

Cold..my S60 doesn’t start! 😮 Starter broken or just really warm up?
Hey guys..I picked up my S60 the day before yesterday and the car doesn’t start! When I picked it up, it had to be pushed on before I could drive off. I was told that the battery is probably empty and has to recharge (already great that I got an empty battery). After I drove home about half an hour and wanted to start the car again he didn’t jump on as I said. My dealer said that I was warming up the car. I got the battery completely charged yesterday (it was empty) and now my guess was that the starter is through. The car purrs like a kitten and drives perfectly once it is on. However, the dealer doesn’t want to look at the car again, because he thinks it’s just the cold. Should I just step through the car for an hour on the highway so that it “warms up properly” and look at it. or should I force the dealer to change the starter or check the connections? Tüv and everything is new (five days ago) and should always have started without any problems. So the car should actually be in a top condition. Then just the day before yesterday, when I got the car the cold break. But I actually thought that Volvo is a winter car!? Ask for a quick answer, since I urgently need the car Tige. What is it worth? V70 Diesel or V70 with LPG ??
Hello, what’s more economical? To buy a V70 2.4T with 200 hp for 9500 and to upgrade to LPG for 2400 euros or to buy a V70 Diesel with 163 hp for 10,000?? Hold good three years with driving performances of 16,000 km per year. Mainly rural road. PS The LPG system would not have paid off after 3 years, because when reselling you will also get good 500 euros more than without LPG system! LPG price with us 55.9 cents, diesel at 104.9. Info from my information available from VCG about MY10: the XC90 is only offered as a 7-seater (with simultaneous price increase), otherwise only optical retouching (apparently a few more metal applications).The “new” D5 engine is not mentioned… Greetings Frank

Photos of my new acquisition V70 II …
Sodele…because the demand for visual appeals is greater than the offer I once photographed my new used V70 II with the ape-sharp 2.5T engine. I also have a 3rd bench in the back which I often use. The children all prefer to drive against the direction of travel. Is not anything special but…now…yes…: Black (I actually didn’t want a black car – but looks really good), has 55000KM on the hump, HU-650, etc. Since I had the 170hp 2.4 Sau before I now had the feeling to have a rocket under my butt. Yesterday I steamed after Essen… but could only speed up to 210. But that was pleasantly fast. However, according to the on-board computer, I used 16 liters in urban traffic. However, this is either due to my new driving or the car just didn’t drive free because only city might be before. I will observe this. Should the car in the city with soft driving more than 13.5 liters bra I have to see if you might be a bit misguided. But I haven’t dealt with this topic yet. On the weekend we go to Bayreuth – after that the engine should be free.
