  • ASSISTANCE!

Hello forum–hello Volvo driver!! I have a few problems with my tyres and my track (I think). In September I got my V 70 D 5 from 2004. At that time the good still 143000km had on the hump, now 2013 and 6 months later have arrived at 155670km. I regret not a kilometer, but now have problems with my tyres (front): – To buy in September 2012 4x new Goodyear Allwetter (NEW). – These are front in the interior areas bl anko!! – Admittedly: I also like to let the 163 horses out of the stable (from + on) – 4 months I probably have been traveling with too little air pressure: 2.1 BAR front + back. Much too little, says the master: 2,6 – 2,8 BAR would be more realistic. Heavy vehicle.. Last Friday the V70 was on stage: couplers OK, shock absorber OK, wheel bearing OK, suspension OK.. – What was not ok, says the master, were 2 sockets (black/plastic), each left/right they probably for a straight run, And make sure to drive without “cracking”. Because I also hear this, in the case of floor waves, bumpstones + field paths = KNACKEN VORNE!! Tjaaa…: good wheel expensive Conclusion: according to the car master (free workshop) the track is to be adjusted, possibly to correct the rear axle, and to change the bushings. Good! But what it is to conclude is a little daring, at least for me.. Do you have a tip what it might be? Thank you for your interest… Greetings mad

  • Buy V70?

Hi together So far I drive Mercedes. But the current models are – to say the least – in need of getting used to, and older Mercedes (old C-Class) that I would like to roast pretty much. How is that with the Volvo V70? From the shape I would like it. What about the fuel consumption? How reliable are they (even climate, automatic)? I don’t have to ask a seller, because they always praise their goods…

  • PARTICIPATION………..

GUTENTAG I have today completed a partial cascade at ERGO with own participation 150€ but I have heard and read that some workshops are working with Ergo and don’t take part in it or other workshops that don’t work with ergo but still do not require an SB 150€ I live in berlin I would be very happy if you can tell me where in Berlin such a workshop is. Thank you

  • Volvo V70 D5 185 HP AUTOMATICs ruptures when switching…

Hello, for some time now I find that the gears of my V70 D5 EZ 2007 automatic partly quite hard jerking in. Butter soft is really far away. No matter if warm or cold. It cracks quite strong. 173,000 km it has down! Does the software update or similar need? Would be really grateful for an info. PS: Have also 6 months used car warranty. (????!!!) 🙂

  • Radio change despite steering wheel remote control, Navi, telephone and parking aid ????

Hello, I drive a Volvo S60 year 2006 and would like to expand or improve the existing audio system (HU-650). The included radio is simply not enough. No mp3, AUX, etc the following problem: The car has steering wheel remote control, car phone, and nav and parking aid… I think this is all about the double DIN radio and when changing of course I don’t want to lose any of the functions… the phone, this is not really necessary but by no means the Navi, parking aid e or the steering wheel remote control (was everything already in the car, i.e. from Volvo). Is it possible to exchange the radio with another (think about a double DIN with touchscreen) and enjoy the usual comfort? Are adapters (CAN) necessary or is it even possible? How is a conversion like this?

  • Experience with MEYLE HD (premium spare parts) ???

Hello self-screw and OEM crossdriver, I have been dealing with two questions since the last tyre change: 1. Is it right that the starting points for the on-board truck lifter are located relatively far to the center of the vehicle???? The described markings on the side skirt are somehow not to be found on my vehicle, however, the small notches on the fold were very familiar to me by other manufacturers and thus I set up courageously, but not without the gapma So far he is still running straight ahead and does not rain. 2. When checking the usual suspects (during wheel change) the coupling/stabistans in the frame seemed to me to be quite sparse (mass) of my beloved Volvo ́s. therefore I first went to the SEARCH before I asked you the following company after your experience, as a retrofitter with “improved formula of action” has pushed itself into my consciousnesshttp:/ /www.meyle.com/DE/Replacement parts/MEYLE-HD.html and now you are asked. Has someone current experience with these “HD” parts of MEYLE and above all the low extra price is acceptable at a possibly nevertheless significantly extended change interval. Maybe there are even -mechanists on a German island, who out of conviction already leave the path of the Orgiinal spare parts ? maybe? at least love you all times already thanks greeting Willvo PS: or 3. what brings your on the e Libra???, my 2.5T, automatic 1666 kg curb weight

  • what do you think of SUVs with 2WD (as now with XC90) ?

Lt. newspaper news comes the XC90 – as for a long time in the USA – also in D to the all-wheel also with 2WD (because it should become more expensive with it) – other manufacturers have already started with it already. How do you say to it? Is such a car then still a “SUV” ? At least it is still as “high” as a real SUV, namely about the 180 cm. Other SUVs are already clearly under 170 cm, that is then the so-called “crossover”. Soon they are already under 160 cm. But back to the K question: What do you think of SUVs that don’t have an all-wheel drive? rolo PS: I personally don’t think about it, I don’t think all-wheel drive not only has advantages on detours (but who is already driving into the terrain !?) but also safety advantages on normal roads, especially in winter and wet weather and especially on a high-rise and relatively heavy car.

  • Motor oil also under the tub

Hello Elk-Gemeinde, I have complained in other contexts about my Dickelch. Then everything was quiet, except for the following: I would have liked to have heard something from the experts below you, if motor oil from the plastic tube next to the oil tank – I believe it leads to the compressor – drips down on the lower engine cover and of course also the bottom of the tub. Who has gained experience so far? In particular, it is also up to me to the specialists Z of the “90-er”. The story: XC90D5 Executive 185 HP with toos. Options. EZ December 2006. Already for the first maintenance in 2007, I reported the beginning oil pollution. “You have to keep watching it”. Maintenance 2008: It had become worse. Small amounts of oil on the lower engine cover. I wrote a note for my master and enclosed photos. The bells were pulled on the said tube. At the same time I closed an extension warranty over 3 years. maintenance 2009: the same, only again worse. Oil also again on the cover, note, photos and on both sides comments. maintenance 2010: again a little more oil on the cover, drops on the pipe and under the oil pan. note, photos and the comment: “You have to wait for the further development”. That made me angry, but I have another year until the expiry of the warranty extension. On 08.11. I have already, with regard to the next and last inspection in December, mei a new note with the listing of all the proposals and the latest photos sent to my dear master. His reaction, but only to my telf. demand on November 17: He noted on his report: “Dense engine”, so he told me. So what to do? Who can help? I would be pleased. Greetings to all Doeffi

  • Finally also proud moose driver

So, after a long search and waiting for a long time (health-related about 3 weeks) our first Swede is now at the door. It is a 2004 XC 70 “Premium” D5 with upscale equipment (leather, automatic,Navi, phone,HU 803 Dolby, electr. seats, AhK,etc.) in Black Metalik. We picked him up today under winter conditions. The car is from 2nd hand, complete SH at Volvo, but has some optical stains which are quite legitimate after 9 years. There were still many Invoices and service leaflets in the car, what particularly scared me, or I didn’t expect from Volvo either: the angular gearbox was changed at 140000 and after 7 years already. Was it a limp 1500€, anyway what’s going on? Thought with Volvo everything was done for eternity then I could have stayed with VW.Now of course it is our advantage, a part less that can break! But altogether a horny box!! Comfortable, basic solund un d such a nice smooth 5-end, perfect! Better pictures follow of course. Planned changes: – Preheating, sometimes just driving to Venlo (5km ) – Extender box for an even more “more” – iPhone/MP3 connection – more beautiful wheels with all-year tire,as a replacement for the series “Tellus” – wood applications to replace aluminium variant (who wants?)
