Hello, this morning I just drove the moose out of the driveway: When I wanted to close the car again, not the turn signal as “Quitung” came, but I saw that the brake lights were still switched on. When I started again, there was a lot of error messages from the on-board computer: Bring the vehicle to a safe stop! Airbag maintenance erföderlich ABS failure slip protection etc. In addition, the windscreen wiper could not be switched off anymore and the main light flashed in the beat of the wipe intervals. Great self-life! So first of all the battery clamped down, so that the brake light did not suck the battery off. After calling the VOLVO Assistance came the ADAC, which took my elk huckepack and brought it to the next friend. I was curious what he caught up with. The 11.000km anyway, could not have gotten to him at my driving mode. Hopefully no marder?! Tomorrow I get a rental time, how the VOLVO promise works. The Elch picture was almost for me the best thing!

Please do a PDC test
Hello, so slowly I am in despair. According to Volvo, the rear PDC is supposed to dim the volume of the radio as soon as an obstacle is detected when driving backwards. Mine also does so. But: In order for the volume to be dimmed automatically, I have to turn up the volume of my radio at least half the volume of my XC90 beforehand. Underneath this, the volume of my PDC is no longer dimmed. The problem is that if I have turned up the volume of my premium sounds + subwoofer about 25-30% of the possible volume, I don’t hear the first beeps sounds of the PDC at all. My friend has tested all possible XC90s, which all have the same problem and pass this on to Volvo – so far with the success that the fourth Volvo-Fräulein has called me and has explained that the volume is not quieter with inserting the R-Gange. Could the XC90-drivers have the same problem and pass this on to Volvo – so far with the success that the fourth Volvo-Fräulein has called me now and that the volume is quite independent of me, if you want to say that your radio.

XC 90 Order Tips
Hello you, have me now penetrated and will sign the order for the Großelch on Monday. Ordered is: XC 90 D 5 summum with Geartronik, Navi, parking aid, color black inside black/alu Question: what is still really useful and should be ordered, or what do you really not need? Alarm system? Is from your point of view the automatic important to achieve after 3 years, a sales return in relation to the new price better? Is black metallic mandatory or is it normal black enough? Is the visible difference large? What do the winter bikes cost for the car? What about the insurance? My first inquiry with my current insurer (cosmos directly) was sobering: “can I not tell you if we insure the full insurance, I have to clarify first” Are there any problems to insure the box in general? Thank you in advance! parkbank

Gear oil gets too hot in trailer operation
Hello Volvo-driver, before you answer me now, I should use the search function – I definitely found nothing suitable in the whole “Net”! I have a V70 II model 2004 with automatic transmission (AW 55-50). I bought the vehicle used. It had already a trailer coupling. So about after 2 hours drive with the trailer (weight 1400 kg) and full load of the towing vehicle the transmission oil is so hot that the automatic switch to an emergency program and the error “gear maintenance required” lights up. So when I give the Volvo a break and then drive again, everything is again in order, until the oil gets too hot again etc. The cooling water temperature rises u.a. also times to the red area, but always goes back again. So the whole thing is always (sunless never!!!) in the trailer operation can not be filled up with the operator’s manual – the error message is always deleted from the OBD II – then it will not be again until I drive with a caravan. I already several times, especially after the trailer rides the gear oil completely changed (by not having been filled up) and the dealer’s help for the operator’s unfortunately.

Advice for upgrading to XC90 D5 185PS
Hello, since I would like to take a look at a nearby XC90 D5 with 136KW/185PS, it would be nice if you could give me a few hints, what I should pay attention to. Here are some key data about the vehicle: EZ 03/06, KM 124tsd, particle filter, 6-speed automatic, TÜV new, inspection due, equipment: Navi, leather, seat heating, no AHK, PDC rear, DVD changer, multifunction steering wheel – otherwise stop what is probably normal basic series Other: second hand, offered by private, Volvo checkbook maintained I have already a bit of a buggy but certainly not found the important information again (a comprehensive forum search usually takes a whole week). So would be nice if one or the other could give me some hints, what I have to pay attention to. Greetings braucki

V70 MY2002 Total damage
So, after I have been spared from major accidents in the last 15 years, it has now crept properly. Accident at the entrance of a highway., E400CDI with more than 100km/h against my practically standing V70. In the front area the Daimler then popped completely clean. 2 people in the DB completely unharmed, my wife and I also completely unharmed. Pure damage, so I see all this positive. The passenger cell of the V70 is completely intact, the entire front area is completely destroyed. Now to the reason of my contribution. I am completely perplexed about the offers of scrap dealers for the car. Can you imagine what the online residual value exchange brought to the day? To the corner data: EZ 4/02, 144,000 km, Premium D5, Leather, ClimateA, ESSH, Metallic, GSM, RTI. Repurchase value currently 18.000 gross, repair costs without engine testing or testing of the externally impeccable aggregates 20,000 gross. What do you think the car brings back? (Good luck here, please keep it!).

Titangraumetalic?
Hello, I have not yet agreed on the color with my wife. ORE falls out already, too poppy. Now my hold wants to see pictures of the xc90 in Titangraumetalic. Where can I find them? Who has pictures of his and can put them in here. On everything else we have already agreed: D5 automatic 7-seater with summun and parking aid in front and back. In addition, also laminated glass. That was. Ciao, xcnewbie. P.S.: Stand shortly before the order and can not agree on the color ;-(

XC90 underrun protection rear
Moin! Again and again I get annoyed when I see the rear silver-coloured plastic “underrun protection” on my XC90 EXE. The thing is so embarrassing and ridiculous and doesn’t fit at all to the rest of the stately car. Question: does anyone know if you can take it off, WITHOUT that there are holes in the rear of the rear of the car even more desecrating? Or is there even a underrun protection in the accessories that just doesn’t look so fippy??? I saw the new Mercedes ML the day before yesterday, he had a underrun protection that looked really metal and was also wider and more harmonious. Is anyone an idea?? Thanks! Gruss Michael

I know that the gearbox has a mechanical lock, however I have exactly after instruction tightened the hand brake, pressed foot brake etc.. knows a vno you what is going on ? or is that normal ? It’s still warranty on it – but well.. Thanks for your answers Gruss from Paris
