Servus! I drive a Volvo V70 II from 2005 (kilometer stand: just under 150,000). A few weeks ago the good piece did not start. The Volvo workshop changed the ignition lock and when it was not crowned by success, the “antenna of the immobilizer” was changed (such a funny ring that sits around the ignition lock). Furthermore, another cable, which was allegedly slightly corrided (in the interior?!) from the wiring harness of the ignition lock was re-insulated and connected. In addition, the battery was changed, because the voltage was probably not so great anymore. After that we had about 2 weeks of rest and everything was good. After that the vehicle did not start again. One has to say that with “key position 2” all lamps etc. go as usual (you also hear that a pump starts in the engine room [from the brake power amplifier?!]), but after that nothing happens at all. I then switched off the traction control and the parking distance control and After that he jumped perfectly. Then I drove a few kilometers and turned off the car again. After that the car (with the traction control on and park distance control) jumps perfectly. Since that didn’t leave me alone (and that’s not such a condition), I drove to the Volvo contract workshop (in which I was also at the first problem). They could then “throw” the car (over several hours) without any problem. Only after that did the fault occur. It was then connected to the diagnostic device, which did not spit out any error. Then the starter was knocked on (?!) and then the car jumped on again. Now to my question: Can’t you read a defective starter with the diagnostic device? According to the workshop, it’s not possible… VIELEN DANK! Greetings, Max PS: About 2 weeks ago I replaced the two “number plate lighting bulbs” with 2 LED lamps. Can this possibly cause the error or am I completely paranoid?

Questions about alloy wheels for Volvo S60
Hello I need your help with aluminium rims, because I don’t know about them. We have a Volvo S60 built in 2002 and I’m looking for some aluminium rims for the summer, at the moment there are 16 inch aluminium rims with 205 tyres on it. Now I’m looking for a few aluminium rims for the summer tires, which don’t have yet. In the bay have now seen “ATS aluminium rims type 75710.38.08 “,complete with parts report for 850, V70, S60 etc., is available, there are also 4 Dist anzscheiben plus with longer wheel bolts, can be driven tires from 205 to 235, hole circle: 5×108, ET: 35. JÉTZT my question can I easily mount it on it or must something be changed on the vehicle? Because I wouldn’t have a big desire for that,I would prefer 4 new summer tires on the used rims, mount and finish.

UK Price XC90
Hello, Would you like to ask if someone already has experience, what you can get for an XC90 D5 Executive with almost full equipment (except sunroof and Blis), 5 years old with approx. 290,000 km on the clock, which has completely got all maintenance done, is very well maintained and also has no maintenance jam or expected repairs (since all expensive components are already new besides engine and turbo). Have now two offers from flying business card dealers, which me 13,500 and 15,000 € respectively Since the car really has almost no optical or other defects (2 small dents and a bit of rockfall), I assume that they turn the tacho by at least 100,000 km back and then collect almost 20,000 € for it. Please don’t get it wrong now, I think this is an absolute mess and also find that everyone who does something like this belongs in jail but you will not listen to it or look at it. Maybe you have an idea if the good report ote are or if there may be something more in it. With Mobile etc. you can not find any comparison offers to this car, because he is relatively young but still has many km. Greeting Michael

Comparison XC70 – XC 90 searched
Moin, I am more than satisfied with my V70 D5 EZ 02. Now the little one has 260 tkm down. If at some point he should make some quirks (fast knocking on wood) I play with the idea to switch to the XC area. On the one hand we are traveling at least 2 times a year in Finland, of course there also on forest roads, on the other hand I like to go on holiday also to the east (Russia, Balkans). So XC would be good. The SuFu gave me not the right result. Therefore my question to the municipality should I switch directly to the XC90 when the time has come, or does that make much less sense and the XC 70 II (the new one I just don’t think is so nice anymore!) is enough? I would like to add the following points: For the XC90 speaks: In my UAZ I find the increased sitting position not bad. For the XC70 speaks: Lower fuel consumption Perhaps less interest for theft in Eastern Europe ??? Currently we are still two – so 7 seats is not necessary for a long time. I find that the XC90 doesn’t look as deep in the luggage compartment as the V70. Is that really just a delusion? Greeting Thomas – who doesn’t need the decision today, but would like to know what would be if …

Test air conditioning?
Hello…. in my V70/2 D5 MJ06 bought on May 28th, apparently the air conditioning does not work ….. So far I did not really have to use it.. At the WE it would have done already. Despite temperature control at 18° C (for testing) and otherwise ventilation everything on car came only the same air temperature from the ventilation openings when the air conditioning is switched off. I bought the car from a dealer at 350 km distance.. 1 year warranty and warranty. I So to my local, which according to hearsays I guess so that he says without examination “Well sure there is something broken…!” 😉 I just want to avoid that I do something operatingly wrong and then pushed the big wave…. (i.e. contact to the seller/guarantor etc.)… Can you test anything about this? Greeting, Gosar

Buying a V70!!! urgently needs help!!!
Hello dear elk community, so my girlfriend and I are looking for a combi up to 10000euro. due to my positive experiences with the brand volvo (I drove a baby elk the s40 with 1.6l for 2 years) and the very good image of the brand volvo we decided to buy a volvo insb for the winter! Besides there are still the Mazda 6 and the opel signum and a V40 to choose from. now I have discovered a v70 construction year 2001, so shcon phase 2 for 8900euro. he has 82000km gel he has the 2,4l engine with 140ps. what can you say to the car and in particular to the engine? what weak spots does he have and can one buy the still bedenklos. at the various car exchanges we have also seen many interesting diesels in the price segment, which however have around 150000km on the clock… can one also diesel diesels buy relatively mindless despite the high running power? and which motors are generally better at the v70? the gasolines in the with 140ps or the diesel? What do I have to pay attention to when buying? best greetings and thanks for your help silo ps. the elk we’re looking for still has the original cassette radio from volvo in it, can you have it relatively easy and without ugly holes rim amturenbrett permanently nen cd radio install or there are problems, since I see how big the radio with hook in the amaturenbrett is?

Reverse rolling on the slope despite automatic?
Moinsen together! So, the S80 is still satisfactory so far, but I noticed something last time…: When driving in a car park I had to stop on a ramp (shout upwards). After releasing the foot brake the car rolled backwards. With my previous driving experience with Volvo vending machines, they did not roll backwards, but stayed on the spot, partly they still crawled up the slope (e.g. AW30-43LE with B6304F in 960). Okay, I don’t know which car now! Is that normal? If so, I think it’s a little weak of Volvo… Was it always so nice to take the feet off the gas on the slope for a short time with the engine running and the driving stage in place and just hold the car with the automatic…

V70/S60 Ø discount for used cars between MY06 and MY07
Moin, Sufu “Used car and discount” was unsuccessful, therefore a new topic. From the subject the question already emerges. What discount can one achieve with skilful negotiations with a V70 or S60 from the MY06 and MY07? The edge parameters: either D5 and between 30 and 60TKM and the gasoline rivals like 2.5T, T5 and R with the same KM stand, all fully loaded as possible? Can one, according to your experience, missing / deviating features like e.g. gearbox, missing PDC, missing Sliding roof, bright leather or similar for negotiation? How many % can one currently negotiate at prices of e.g. 24000 or 28000 €? BG Sascha

Request for assessment: XC90 D5 OR
A cheerful moooin from the neighboring forum! My senior is a bit bored after 25 years Audi from the brand and, after licking my V70 blood, shot himself on Volvo as next car. It is to be either an XC90 or XC70 III. I ask for your assessment of this XC90, which he has tested today and was quite pleased with. The car appears harmonious, has a decent equipment and the attractive Ocean Race variant, but I find the price approx. 2000 Eur o too high. For the amount you get also almost a more modern XC70 III with similar km-performance and EZ. What do you think?

S60 T5 for XC70 D5 Swap? Your opinions
Hi guys, it’s been a long time since I showed up here actively… My S60 T5 has been registered since March and “boring” itself. The reason for this is the purchase of a Z4M roadster for the summer. The idea was to operate the S60 as a winter vehicle. But now it’s the case that a combination would be practical, especially with regard to the transport of our dog, holidays, etc.. My wife’s BMW 1 is just a small car. Since we are quite nature-loving, it would be nice if they had an o o the other meadow or dirt road would not be considered an obstacle, the idea came to me to exchange the S60 for an XC70. Since I am already well equipped for speed excesses and fuel will not be cheaper I think a diesel would be a good choice. So I come to the XC70 D5. What do you think about it? Are there factors that I should take into account? What is “good” for the XC70 i.V.? Thanks in advance! Thomas P.S.: If someone is interested in an S60 T5 an ice blue metallic… PM
