Hello, I would like to know how quickly or when the DSTC system intervenes with you for the sake of interest?! In the case of spinning wheels when starting or speeding up, the TRACTION KONTROLLE intervenes and the yellow lamp light in the dashboard. So far so good… When I was stuck in the snow and both(!) wheels went crazy, nothing happened. The traction control distributes the force only on the wheel with more “grip”, but then the MOTORELEKTRONIK doesn’t have to adjust the engine speed? When does this happen??? To test the functioning of the ESP, I “forced” a hit (in a parking lot). The yellow lamp lit up NIE and I didn’t have the feeling that a system intervened. How is that with you? Is the operation of the ESP checked in the workshop about the diagnostics?

Has anyone had experience over at least 15t km with the new Goodyear F1 asymm. in 235/40-18″ Y, preferably on S60/V70-R or T5? Was it quite enthusiastic about the already during the test, and soon my R should be rehearsed again…? Am the F1 last also driven on’m M3 of a buddy (comparison to Pirelli Pzero Rosso asymm., which I currently also ride on’m R…) and that’s also a hit! The M3 is almost only moving with squeezing rubber, therefore the durability of the tire can not be estimated so well! After 12t km, however, the tire is never much left, however, even with thunderstorms at Tempo 200+ was still confident…., similar to the Pzero, however, it offers a little more comfort, as it seems to me, and is the newer development. In tyre tests, it cuts off considerably better than the Pzero, and runs a little less after the track grooves… I’m already looking forward to your experiences?

First of all a friendly hello to all elk dompeteurs, after DB, BMW and Audi I have now a nice black D5 from 2003 with Autom., leather and all the stuff. I am totally satisfied. Only the chassis was too soft for me. I bought him 2 x 15 mm widenings from Heico and for a few days also the 30 mm sports suspension from Sachs. Actually I did not want to go deeper but there was only the chassis to make it harder and more precise. At the moment I have winter tyres on it with 215/16 but would like to raise in the summer 225/16. But also 17s or 18s but my workshop thinks that it will become too hard after all. Does anyone have experience with this combination? With 163 hp and the automatic it goes quite neatly, but is not a rocket. Does anyone have experience with chip at D5? Does that bring anything? And if so, which chip? Heico or MR, or anything else? Is there really such a weak point in the car that you have to pay attention to, as the tooth strap at the older 5 BMWs already?

Hello, I have a question for all AWD drivers. I always go to Austria for skiing in the winter. I have always had snow chains with me, and they have never used them. Now I drive a V70 D5 AWD with winter tyres 205/65/16. My chains, from my last V70, are also for the 205 tyres. Now I have read that you should not take normal chains with quick lock (because AWD !?!), but only originals of Volvo. Can someone tell me if this is only to increase the accessory turnover at Volvo, or does this have a real reason ?? Probably I won’t need them again, at least I hope, but I have them now and will have them in the car. Does anyone have experience with this or knows something about it ?? Halli hello… so now I’m stinky… since yesterday I changed the light bulb at the back left, since the BC shows a defective bulb again today… and see there it is the upper bulb … where I changed the lower one yesterday… now so far so good.. but how do I get there??? lower bulb was not a topic… lol but now it’s getting tight.. has someone got a tip????

Hello S60 – Driver, after a long time, I thought, I would like to have a really great vehicle. One has finally heard about the S60 and Volvo in general very good things. Now I have such a box and I could cry. With every loadwechel it cracks – when driving off in the first and second gear, when switching up, switching down etc. had the vehicle in 2 different Volvo workshops and additionally a reviewer. The first workshop claimed it were the adjusting screws on the drive shaft – cracking was not gone. Second appointment – replacement of the wheel hub – cracking was not gone. The vehicle made to a reviewer. This made it clear that it must be the cross-drivers. Exchange of the cross-drivers in another workshop. The noise is still there. Either in Germany all the KFZ mechanics are completely faded or the training is still miserable. According to my understanding, it can only be the interface between the drive shaft and gears, or the gear itself. But in the end, you can’t be taken seriously by the Volvo workshops. But again, the second break is not possible.

Hello guys! I came to this forum by a friend because I told him about my “problem”. I bought a beautiful S60 in June and was completely satisfied until one day after my service appointment. So the day after the service started to light up the warning light for the oil control. Not constantly but rather like a contact error. After I had checked the oil level and everything was fine, I didn’t think much about it. It glowed, as I said, not always. Well. And now two days ago the oil control started to shine permanently and with the light also came the first “comic” noises from the engine room. After a short phone call with the mechanic I was asked into the workshop. Unfortunately I didn’t get there anymore. After an ever louder surr and knocking, a bang and lots of smoke my ride was about 1Km in front of the workshop to end. So, and now my question… Didn’t let the 5W 30 motor oil recommended by Volvo fill up, but after a more generous 0W 50. Can the service really help me?

Hello Volvo community, I’m new to this forum, because I’m thinking about getting a Volvo V70. I don’t really know my problem with Volvo. Drive only the highway and more often in trailer operation. The data that the cars should have: – Motor: D5 (185Ps) Automatic – Year of construction: 2006-2007 – not over 70,000km I’ve already tested this car once and am actually satisfied. But that’s usually when you drive a newer car. Will you run a test drive on Thursday and hopefully a little longer this time. My question would be now what are the most outstanding points to look at when buying it? What do you have to pay particular attention to? Are there typical Volvo problems/mängel? Is the decision for this engine the right or should you use the 163Ps variant? Given the “higher” fuel prices, of course, the question was: How much consumption of the car? Moin, had already mentioned my tour this year, but wanted to publish the pictures separately. Of course I am travelling with my elk. I have for the first time in my life the luck to be able to take a longer vacation. On the way I am now since the 18.9. by car went to Stockholm from there by ferry to South Finland. I spent the first 3 weeks there with nothing. Half the time my friend gave me company. For 3 days went to St. Petersburg (with elk back AND). Since the 11.10. I am now really on tour. First I went by car train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. The first days up there were the tempartures up to -16°. Amazingly that there the SH ran there without problems! Further went over the NW from Finland to Tromso in Norway. The last two days I spent in a beautiful valley in Norway near Finland. Now I am going to the North Cape. From there I went to the NO Norways, maybe with a visit to Murks, and at the beautiful side of Finland a few of them.

Hi… I’ve been using the Video-Breakin-Box for the video display on the Volvo RTI-TFT from Volvotech.eu for some time now. Link: Link to the Video-Breakin-Box Runs great with my return camera. Now I wanted to connect to the free 2nd video input a small multimedia player with TV-Out. Have mine from England, here the link to another auction… same part: Link: Link to the Card-TV-Player The part has a CVBS(Composite Video Broadcast Signal) output. The Video-Breakin-Box has a Comp RCA input (RCA=Cinch). So should be compatible. The picture is also nicely sharp.. only it remains black-and-white!! In the system menu I have already put the signal type on PAL. NTSC does not show any image. Further image changing settings (except color adjustments, Saturation etc) there is no problem. if someone asks about it. the black/white image does not result in the color control… So what can switch the device in between?
