Hello, at the moment I am somewhat unsure about new tyres on which axle. I always need two new tyres for both the winter and summer seasons. Had the discussion with my tyre dealer on which axle they are mounted several times. There are two statements: 1. Always pull the better tyres on the rear. The rear tyres are responsible for driving stability. This is also recommended by the car manufacturers. So I have so far However, I discovered the following article on the weekend: Quote: 2.-New tyres should always be mounted on the drive axle in the vehicle. As a result, a better traction is achieved when driving, according to the TÜV. If, for example, only two tyres are to be renewed on a car with front drive, because the profile depth is not sufficient anymore, the old tyres should be continued on the rear axle. The new tyres are to be pulled up at the front. Another advantage of this solution is that the the front tires are the most heavily loaded during the braking process. I would be interested in your opinion, or you have other information about it. taptom, who is glad that the car has only two axles

Winter tire “buying drama” S60 R
good day together, I’m starting to really doubt the competence of the tyre dealers. I just want to have a set of winter tires for my S60 R. meanwhile I was at three different dealers and although I say what kind of car I have and the sellers look up, everyone recommends something different to me. the first wanted to sell me 205/55 R16, the next told me then at once steel rim goes on no case “from 190 kW only alloying”. then I was today b in the third, though totally unfriendly but again with new infos. now it says all at once I have to drive at least 225/45 R17 ! now I am slowly confused and would need your help what I can drive now ?! in the manual is only what of 205/55 R16 and in the new vehicle ticket is only a mature size … would be really nice if someone could help me quickly ! many thanks in advance greeting Till

V70 – Wheel bearing and now also the crossbars …
had reported that with my V70 D5 (03.06 used bought BJ 05.03 with 120k, now 140k run) the wheel bearing VL is defective and is now changed. As part of the Kulanz (12 mon. used car guarantee) the friendly offered me that I had to carry “only” 40% of the spare parts costs. I have to do the 140k inspection directly with me. Now I got a call that the cross handlebars are also defective and have to be changed. Additional costs: approx. 350 EUR and in the case NO Warranty or Kulanz Well … I drove the car now for a good half year, 20k and now already repairs in the amount of total (incl. inspection) 800 – 900 EUR … starts well As a rental car I have run nen niegel new XC70 (~2500 km) and how to expect it differently … disc at the back left does not close properly = it pulls and whistles, flaps at the front left = it annoys, FB from the Navi does not work … so you know Volvo !

New V70 from when in D.? (no design fred!)
Good day, I wanted to know the many speculations gathered, _when_ because the new V70 will actually be available in this country. If it is presented in Detroit 2007, that doesn’t mean that it is already available in D. in 2007: ams in Sverige means: “Det är nästa generation Volvo V70, som kommer 2008.” But maybe someone already has insider knowledge. Background of my demand: It’s a good idea for me to make a small provision this year. and I would bite into the Ar*** if I had to dissolve the then 2008 and there is no V70 D6 AWD. Nice weekend wishes – de manatee

Hello and sorry that I had to open a new thread, but the time is pressing! I hope for your understanding: My Volvo dealer from the neighboring town just called me: He would have a Volvo for me: V70 D5, EZ 2006, 158,000 km, Volleder, SHD, Automatik, LM+WR, PDC, SHZ, would be a super car from 1st hand, with TOP equipment , the 160,000 inspection is made incl. timing belt change, color dark blue-met., shackle stitch maintained …..! He said the price would still be calculated, but at ca. My advantages: dealers just around the corner, have a good reputation, a TOP workshop and are not backyard dealers………!’ But I actually had a limit of 10500…….! My belly says: YES!!!! My account says……Help!! I need a new car in 2 weeks at the latest…….! Time is pressing something and my V70 is sold this week! Is the price ok??

Webasto heater ThermoTop-C
Hello, the built-in heater in my V70II is defective. It was unlocked as a preheater with remote control T91. Now a Webasto Thermotop C with HTM 100 control is to be installed. I have bought a new one with IPCU module, for controlling the Climatronic. Has someone experience with it and how to connect the whole. Thank you

XC90 2.5T with tuning or 3.2 V6 ?
Hello together I would like to buy a new car soon and love it with the XC90… Now I wonder which engine I should prefer? The 2.5 liter turbo with Heico Tuning provides 252hp at 410Nm The 3.2 liter V6 238hp at 320Nm The pure performance data would then speak for the 2.5t. Small side effect would be that I would have to pay less insurance for the “smaller” engine… But that is not relevant to the decision. I might have to mention that I would have to draw a horse hanger occasionally. I would be very grateful for a few experiences.

Brake fluid loss XC 90
Hello, I drive an XC 90 D5 model 2007, EZ 2006 with shifting drives. After my last holiday in Italy, or rather on the half of the way back in the Gothardt tunnel, the “red” indicator brake fluid loss lit up with me, so, stop right away no more driving. I picked up the ADAC. In fact, suddenly the bems fluid was under minimal, before the holiday trip everything was ok. The super good Swiss ADAC (ACE?) told me that the brake fluid also from the Kup Ales was ok, also 1000 km after the holiday trip. Nevertheless, I went to Volvo dealer, who said that I should continue driving, what should he see there already. Now everything would be filled up again. Now, after I drove again 800 km (Munich and back) I had to fill up before the return trip. The spongy statement of my Volvo dealer is Is there someone who already had such a problem? Would I look forward very much to an answer. As one sometimes complains, I alternately have the feeling that the clutch (ratters) when driving on, so only grinds-but don’t happen when I go to the workshop – and then again the feeling that the brakes get worse. You start to spin properly. Thank you for the answers. Greetings

Rescue card for emergency for your Volvo !!
Hello, as a fireman I recommend the rescue card! It is an information for firefighters, if someone is stuck in the vehicle after a traffic accident and has to be cut out! A sticker with “ADAC – rescue card in the vehicle! ” at the windshield indicates the existing rescue card! Order here: http://www.adac.de/…/Rettungskarte.aspx
