  • Radio antenna(s) and amplifier(s): Where are they?

Dear community, after the radio reception in my V70 year 2003 became worse and worse, I wanted to make myself smart here in the forum about the above topic, but still a bit confused due to partly opposite statements. It is certain: – my V70 has an antenna in the rear left side disc – also there is a green antenna amplifier with an antenna and a power connection in the back right under the side cover in the hold. What I don’t know: – Has my V70 also in the rear bumper an antenna? (I suppose, yes.) – If he has 2 antennas, does he have 2 amplifiers, so another one for the antenna in the side window? – Should 2 antenna cables be connected to the radio with 2 existing antennas? I remember that there is only one connection there. I thank you already in advance for your answers! Greetings Marcus

  • RTI wants to piss me off

Hello everybody, this in advance: I like the RTI very much. Although completely overpriced, but compared to other manufacturers Volvo stuffs the bags not quite so cheeky….. On the topic: I’m just thinking about the “intelligence” of the RTI. I let myself be piloted to a friend the other day. Was basically also fine, but I had the impression that it would have to be significantly shorter. So, next time I’m at about 15 minutes and about 14km of rest driving time/way from the highway. The RTI had hardly recognized my deviation, it suggested the route via the federal road. The message spread with one blow to about 10 minutes at about 10km distance. (It also seems plausible, since I have saved a laaaange distance through an endless residential area.) What about everything in the world causes my RTI to propose me a km-by-km AND time-long longer distance, and then when I catch it while mogging, the innocent mi Men??? Greeting xc90er …who might be looking for a clarificational conversation with his RTI.

  • And another XC90

Hello, that’s it now. Our new family member I just put on a proof photo, because it’s really only a very simple standard XC90 Executive D5. The trip to Holland (Rutten) was one of the first actions: – Activate heater: 96EUR – Activate residual heat usage: 74EUR – Disarm seat belts: 26EUR – Tank cover lock immediately: 0EUR (Oh yes, no coffee, but went for it quickly.) Then the journey to home…. gorgeous. Music on (Klavierko) nzert von Tchaikovsky and organ music von Bach), Tempomat an and then only cruisen. It was nice, the rediscovery of coziness. I can provide some more detailed photos, but in the wet weather, it’s really not fun. Oh yes, I actually insured with Volvo (a.k.a. Basler Securitas, Bad Homburg). The offer was overall consistent and the contribution was fine with good performances. Until soon! xc90er

  • V70 2.4 D 163 PS

Hello municipality, after 850 GLT 170 hp and V70 II 140 hp I have now again chosen a V70 II 2007 Edition Sport with the 2.4D engine 163 hp with all the bullying and sports suspension / level regulation. Is there actually anything to expose to the engine or can it possibly even better than the D5, have of course already used the search function and what is special about the servotronics ?? Thanks to All !

  • ABS with overreaction 🙂

Hello, I drive a Volvo S80 Bj. 99 with 170 hp. Recently I have the following problem. With a braking of any speed I’m driving, my pedal starts to stutter like with an ABS braking. No ice smoothing or rain the road was dry and I braked with very minimal pressure. At a later braking when the error re-entered, I pressed the brake pedal with all power and see there, as well as no braking effect and the brake pedal b Audrey had an extreme backpressure and now no longer had an mm braking distance. A pumping of the brake pedal also did not have any effect. Shortly afterwards it braked again quite normally. The error appears again and again without an error message and without that a warning lamp concerns. In an emergency braking I would not be able to stop the vehicle (if the error occurs ) right time. It is currently in the garage and if one can give me advice I would be very grateful.

  • Purchase advice XC70 Bj04 2.5T 140tkm Aut.

Hi, I’m looking for a used family coach. So far I drive a Opel Zafira but I want to get rid of it (never again Opel)… Now I have found an XC70 that also looks solid. Test drive has already happened with all repairs I land at 800€ at the end of the purchase. The data: XC70 Bj04 with 2.5T 210PS automatic 140000km partial leather climate seat heater Now I have something to consider, since the car is already 10years old. Hlechte experiences with rust made and wants to avoid this such a timely appearance. What is under the plastic cladding I unfortunately could not see, there are experience values at the XC70s there? Also I do not know if the automatic is so problem-free with such a mileage? I know the comparison limps something, but if I see that you get some new Skoda Octavias for 1600€, am I not sure if the invoice will open permanently? I hope you can help me something Thanks un Greetings!

  • Kaufberatung- Summer tire 225/45 R17

After I have expressed a bit annoyed about all the purchase advice here (ok it was about cars and rims) I want to have “my advice” from you at the start of the season. It is about summer tires of the mentioned dimension and should fit to the T5 (entered with 250KM/h peak). Of course I have stumbled into older posts, but on the tire market there are a lot of things. The requirements: normal stress, but also a fast motorway ride. h less value on comfort than on security (reserves). First and foremost, it should be a “premium” manufacturer. What are your experiences and tips? Thank you and greetings

  • Do I have a cold problem, too?

Hello to all ! Of course I read the current topics and articles on the topic “cold” and diesel filter and thought yesterday on the highway, OK now it is also time for you, although I had no incidents at all in the first cold days. (Garage Parker) In any case I drove yesterday on the highway (about 120-130 km/h) and after a few kilometers, the engine had normal operating temperature, set itself a completely rough engine run, almost as if the good only on 3 Zylinde r would run, for that I felt a relatively vibrating body, so that I thought of a tire damage after first frightening. I drove immediately slower (about 80 km/h) to the next exit and had to stop at the traffic light. At that moment everything was normal again. So I immediately ran right and controlled the tires, everything in best order. I then carefully continued, but chose the country road and it was all normal again, return drive over the AB also. After the perfect cold start and warm-up phase to the highway everything was ok, then after a few kilometers the same shaking, yes almost a little stutter, coughing etc. that went then a few kilometers, full engine power was available however. I then drove further country road and also city traffic, everything was back to normal until now, also over AB. So: No start problems with cold or warm engine, auxiliary heating funks as well I have a problem with the fuel filter or is that even on the control unit with air mass meter ?? By the way I filled the tank with current standard diesel before the cold and one day before the problem came up, the still 1/4 full tank filled again due to the cold problems with Ultimate Diesel. Who knows himself or has experienced similar things ?? V70 II Edition Sport, 2,4D 163 PS 2007

  • used Volvo XC70 vs. VW Cross-Touran/Tiguan/Skoda Yeti

… since I was so far very “VW-affin”, but VOLVO has always regarded as a very interesting alternative, I describe here a few considerations: Since the next generation of families (2nd child) very limited our Golf IV variant from the room offer (seats – not the trunk!), I am looking for alternatives. What comes to mind as a VW`ler immediately: Touran! Especially the cross-touran interests me, since he has a little more ground clearance (the last winter was my opinion na The Tiguan, unfortunately quite expensive for the offered and the Skoda Yeti has very little luggage compartment. Therefore my consideration: Why spend approx. 18,000 – 20,000 EUR on a cross-touran (TSI risk incl.), if you get (almost) the same money also a built XC70 (incl. all-wheel drive)… BUT: – quite high mileage – engines with high consumption Route profile: Short distance (children’s garden, shopping et c.), 1-2x year holiday, NO professional commuter rides, all in all so about 10 – 12,000 km /year. Who convinces me like in terms of Volvo vs. VW…?

  • Presentation

Yesterday I bought a Volvo XC 90 2.5 T and wanted to introduce myself to you here. After “difficult” 2 years with a Mercedes 320 CDI S210 I hope now for a nice time with the hopefully more reliable Volvo. The XC 90 is dark blue with black leather seats, has 65,000 km on the clock and is from 9/2003. It is still very nice and I am enthusiastic about driving behavior. AN SUVs I am so far only the old Mercedes ML and both generations Grand Cheroke e driven over longer distances and found that the Volvo runs much better. I actually didn’t want an SUV, but the test drive convinced me so much that I bought the car directly the next day. Right at the beginning I also have a few questions in stock, to which I hope to get answers from you. The car also has two menu items in the on-board computer for the preheating or its programming. Does this mean that the car also has a preheating…? The leather looks quite cheap and is already quite wrinkled. With which care products have you made the best experiences? Can one use the standard roof support from Thule on the roof rail? What is a Heico engine kit? Do I have to have it…? Has any of you already retrofitted the facelift? My car has almost all possible options, just no xenon light. Perhaps it would be interesting for me to retrofit this and use the facelift lamps at once, if only Thank you and greetings, Mathias.
