Hello, with my V70 the air conditioning service was done the last time three years ago. Otherwise it worked perfectly, only the compressor jumped a little often. So I am to a BOSCH service and said they should refill the refrigerant. They did that, it was only 200 g in it, so it was overdue. The air conditioning was “evacuated/filled and flushed” and that cost me 100 € Now, after 14 days, the climate does not cool any more. The compressor runs permanently, instead of turning on and off as usual. There are also quiet hissing noises . How can that be, that an air conditioning system BEFORE a service is ok and after filling no more? Can you claim that or is it hopeless? Was it wrong to go to Bosch? Should I now leave out the A/C so that the compressor does not run constantly (maybe even empty)? Can I ad hocly check or do what?

XC90 D5 Geartronic or Handswitch? Experiences and opinions wanted
Hello to each other, I will get a new car in the next 2-4 weeks and have come to the decision: It will be a Dickelch! The basic durability seems to be fundamentally very good, especially with the Facelift. It is supposed to be an XC90 D5 with 185 hp, equipment plays a subordinate role, did not find a car that would not meet my requirements. Now I would like to know directly from the first hand how the 6-stufige Geartronic affects the ride comfort, driving performance and above all the consumption. Annual driving performance is about 30-45,000KM/year, my work path is about 90 km over highway and federal road, the remaining KM come together on long distances, preferably at Tempi between 140 and 160 km/h with Tempomat.

V70 purchase advice?
Jo friends, so I’m 19 years young and I’m doing a joiner’s training. Since I don’t always feel like being on a ride to the factory, I need a car. I thought about the V70 from Volvo (my aunt is driving one as well). But now to my questions: 1) I wanted to insure the car via my mother so that I don’t have to go too deep into the bag. My question to you: what do you pay for insurance and taxes for a V70 D5 with the year 2000-2007? 2) What does it look like about the wear parts? Is Volvo in the repair expensive, or not? Maybe someone knows how to compare it with VW? 3) Where do I have to pay attention when I buy it? I thought to get a petrol truck because I will only drive about 10000 km per year. That means I’m driving about +/- 32 km a day. 4) Would you rather choose a switching transmission or automatic? Please with reason 5) Consumption: I looked at the Internet and I come to an average of 9l on 100km. Is this with you too? I believe that I’m going to have it?

Door Panel / “Ellbow Shelf”
Hello, it has been posted many times about the quality of the door panel. Unfortunately, I also had to find out that below the disc, where the elbow rests, the upper plastic layer dissolves and begins to glue. (2.4, BJ 2/2004). Is a change over guarantee or is the normal wear?

My car’s pointing to dead mouse
My car smells like dead mouse Hello, you can already take my problem from the subject. If my S60 is standing for a certain time, it smells when I start for a few minutes after dead mouse. Not particularly pleasant. At the moment you can open the sliding roof, but in autumn it becomes more problematic… Does anyone have an idea of what that can be? I leave all inspections, the last one (100 tkm) was only two months ago and AFAIK was changed a filter. It probably won’t be there – or does it? Actually, I wanted to ignore the problem and return the car in three months, when the new one comes, but somehow the smell doesn’t get weaker, but rather stronger … rotto, who is grateful for every hint, because he doesn’t want to have the workshop extended for hours, just so that they have looked at the last ventilation tube (and earned the Christmas money)…

Plastic parts dissolve
Hello together, after a long board abstinence again a mail from me. My elk is now a little more (2 months above) than 2 years old. On the whole I was spared from Macken and Woechen. Now I had to find out, after a thorough cleaning of the interior, which dissolves at various parts of the door panel and the middle armrest the plastic. And exactly where you lay off your arms while driving. The surface becomes quite soft and then adheres to one. The warmer the more sticky. Has this been noticed by one of you already and therefore you have already done something with your friend. How does the work deal with complaints? In all the decades with Volvo I have not experienced such a thing, except my 960s, since the door panels waved. At that time Volvo had used the wrong glue and had to exchange with various cars, with us it was 2, all door panels against new ones.

V70 bifuel — Natural gas supply switches off arbitrarily — ASSISTANCE
Hello, my 3 year old V 70 bifuel has an unexplained problem for me. For a few weeks now, the natural gas is switched off and the engine is off during the ride. Then I can only drive in continuous fuel operation. The problem occurs completely arbitrarily. Times after 200 km of motorway drive. Times 5 min after the morning start. No matter, I can’t make out a rhytmus. Also sometimes I can switch to gas again during the ride, sometimes after the engine was off and sometimes only the next morning. At Volvo you changed a dirty gas filter and measured the gas pressure. Problem was solved. Now the error search started again. Maybe it is the evaporator for 1000,- Euro the spare part (schuck!!!) perhaps something else. The workshop does not know exactly. At Volvo intern there is allegedly no chat or some kind of historical error list. Can someone help me, who had already had the problem before and how it was fixed? Class, if one buys a gas car around the half way to drive super then few. And the information has expired on time.

S60 Purchase advice up to ~ 4.000€?! Gasoline
If we are looking for a second car, the S60 I will be in play again. It will probably run out of a S60 with > 150,000km since budget is around 4,000€. But it is best to find a second car around Karlsruhe… Must have: Seat heating Nice to have: sunroof, rear parking aid, isofix (otherwise retrofit), switch, timing belt/water pump should be made Area of use: Pure second car, maybe into the company but probably a lot of short distance What else should I pay attention to? Except for motor/brakes, I have done a lot of things myself, 15 years ago also some timing belts… Possible vehicles straight: https://www.autoscout24.de/… b8888-b391-4221-0a7e59d535e5?… https://www.autoscout24.de/…c214-dd7f-44d4-a045-0060606mobil?

Search virtual purchase advisors – against payment
Hello together, funny thread title, right? I would like to see two or three Volvos (V70 II 2.4 20V 170 hp) in the far north next week – for me from Lake Chiemsee a day trip. Experience in the purchase of used cars is quite available, but in the eagerness of the battle I always forget something – and unfortunately I am not really fit on this model (yet). Now my idea was the following: A nice and well-informed V70 II person keeps himself ready for one or two video meetings by smartphone and inspects the car “with me” in peace and quiet, while I crawl around there and he lies in bed because of me – I wouldn’t care. I would have thought about 50 € compensation per appointment, that would be worth it to me. How do you find it, would you know someone or would have someone for this experiment? Of course absolutely without any responsibility afterwards – it is clear.

Volvo V70 T5 2001 light kink / stagnation at loading pressure at approx. 4000U
Hello, with my T5 I noticed that with a DZ of approx. 4000U a slight kink occurs, a short hold of the charging pressure and then goes on. It is not a sinking, but only a small plateau (at approx. 0.75bar). It happens to me that the phenomenon is less pronounced at temperatures below 22°C. But with the popometer the feeling of a small power drop occurs. * No fault in the memory. * 98 OktanWhat’s new: * Candles * Air mass meters * Cam wave adjuster What can this be? In the appendix: horizontal line on the ordinate on both diagrams: To constantize the values I drove for a time with the tempomat to ensure the stabilization of the ignition angle and the charging pressure. Then from 3000U I started to pull through as the starting rotation number with the third. After that accelerated up to 5500U. Right yellow line at x-axis at just 3″ (time in seconds): Small break-in. You can see it also with the ignition angle curve, that what changes there. But according to T5 the driver has always been a similar characteristic.
