  • V70 D5 Difference model year 2005 to 2004?

Hello, after now 16 years of golf gurking I want to finally switch to the league of the more pleasant driver’s office and love the Volvo V70 for a long time. Especially since I would like to offer my wife and my little daughter a maximum of possible safety. Not to mention the additional space (stowroom). And he looks chic also ;o) I have come across quite favorable offers in the range of the model years 2004-2005. One stands out, but this is the model year 2004. What has happened in the model year change to 2005 at the V70 D5, what would justify a “extra price” of good 1500-2000 euros (apart from age)? I am concerned with eliminated (material) weaknesses, which the 2004er had yet to succumb to, but the 2005er no more.. or the other way 😉 Or has safety done something? Was the DPF installed as standard from 2005 on? Questions about questions. With please answer.

  • S60 R – Yes or no? Need tips 🙂

Hello Volvo friends, I have a little concern. For several years I have dreamed of driving an everyday sportsman, which I will buy after my training. I did a lot of research and found some, which corresponds to my ideas. First the Civic Type-R, then the Focus ST, then the Mazda 6 MPS, then the Mazda 3 MPS (which was my absolute favourite for a very long time) and now 3 days ago I came across the Volvo S60 R, which moves on the used car market about in the same price segment, but offers a lot more. Now I wanted to ask you if it is worth driving this car, since I have not yet tried it and found no driving reports. How does the car drive from the feeling and the haptics? How does it look with the running costs? Is the car very vulnerable to repairs? From what mileage does it not pay any more? I found a few offers starting from 15,000 euros, but with a right high mileage. I would drive the car very long, until it can afford to give me the answers, if you can even recommend a car with a gross fee?

  • Kaufberatung V70 Bj.06 Bi-Fuel

Hello dear Foris, I have found an interesting car and I am not sure if it makes sense for me to buy it. I hope to benefit from your experience. I describe the car simply briefly: Volvo V70 Bi Fuel (from the factory), mileage: 129,000 km engine capacity: 2435 cm3 Year of manufacture: 2006 Power: 103 kW / 140 hp Fuel type: natural gas (CNG) )directly installed from the factory); 5 transmission: automatic; first registration: 4/2006; Euro 4. The fun is to cost 13.490 euros. Is the price ok? I drive about 35 Tkm a year and need a reliable car. What experiences do you have with Bi Fuel? How is the supply/network with the filling stations for CNG in Germany to assess? I am happy about your assessments and assessments!

  • Buy Volvo or not?

Hello Volvisten all together, I have already read the various entries with great interest a few days. I would like to buy a V70 from 2003 onwards. He should not have more than 100,000 and 140 Ps are enough for me. I want to buy the car to transport different things or to visit friends in Germany. Now I am already aware that the page is there to get help with various problems. But sometimes it is quite blasphemed. Mainly I have the impression that the V70 is creaking and crackling in all corners. At least you read that often. Is it worth buying a V70 now or should I rather let it go? I thank you already in advance for your answers. Wolfgang

  • XC90 D5 Consumption

XC90 D5 consumption? Hello all, I’ve been driving BMW 5 Series Touring for a long time. Since there’s a new one in December, I’ve also looked around at the competition and ended up with Volvo. I tried an XC90 5d 185 HP here and was completely enthusiastic about it. Really a cool car. I also got a very lucrative offer about the special Blue Ocean model with handshifting. Have only a little thought about the follow-up costs. So I ended up here in the forum during my further research. Insurance us tax has already cleared up. There’s not much. The big unknown is the fuel (diesel) consumption. Surely this has already been done here in the forum. How are the experiences in everyday use. I drive so 30-35,000 km a year of which approx. 60% highway (without lead foot) and the rest of the country road or city traffic is right. Is it right that I get there with 9.5 – 11 l? Thanks for your effort.

  • FSE Parrot CK 3100 in XC90

Hi, at the moment in the V70 also the built-in phone is OK for me. My interviewees tell me, however (on my request), that the voice quality is really bad – hacked off by the noise suppression. The software is up to date. The topic is done for me, sold the car today and will be ordered tomorrow and drive from summer V8 -but: With built-in phone or with Parrot CK3100? – Does the Parrot already have someone in the XC90 in it? – Where does it make sense to install the holder of the phone? – Where the display? – Does the AEM module from Volvo suffice for installation or are complications to be expected? Problem is also that there is only a passive holder with antenna for my Siemens S65 available. Has anyone found an active holder that can be used not only for the Siemens FSE but also without special FSE can easily be connected to the board power? Otherwise I simply have to install a normal charging cable and if necessary plug it separately into the phone – the S65 has a battery time.

  • Battery + and –

Hello, I, absolutely no techvers, wanted to give a different ride Zueg start aid today. In memory I still have engine off, all consumers of both vehicles switch off, red terminal to the plus pole of the unloaded battery, second red terminal to the plus pole of the donor vehicle, black terminal to the minus pole of the full battery, the second black terminal to the mass of the vehicle to be started etc. But, oh woe is minus in the engine compartment of an XC90? The battery is in the back of the trunk, says also the service manual. The plus connection in the engine compartment is above the fuse box in the engine compartment, says the service manual. Of Minus, however, is never mentioned anywhere. Or does it matter – can I stick the clamp to mass instead of the minus connection? Who knows this? If no one knows, I call Volvo, who know that. Or I let the ADAC come, they know that too.

  • What new to MP3 player in the car

Hello, in many contributions the integration of MP3 players into the radio network of the XC is discussed. I have now found something on the Internet, which has not been mentioned in any article (I think at least). I am an additional module to the MP3 player that uses the antenna connection to record the signal into the car radio. You can then listen to the music via a certain frequency on the radio. I have to order the part immediately (about 50,-€) and will post the result here immediately after delivery and installation. Information is also available at the following link:http://www.pearl.de/p/PE2733-MICROBOSS-MP3-Car-Rock-MP3-Umbaukit.html Greeting Alfred

  • XC90 and her own wife

Hello everyone. I just laughed half-dead. I get it from the county DW Post. Hmmm. What do they want? I open up and see a photo of a woman in a big guy. And the woman you know. It’s mine. And she was on her way too fast and that means the first penalty point goes to her. It was kind of an inner satisfaction to me that she was caught, otherwise I was always the “raiser”. You see, cars make “raiser”. How is it with your wives? My love this car! Greeting Igor

  • Foldable exterior mirrors at 200

Hi Folks, has someone tried out there already ? Yesterday evening – Andi has stopped me for a long time – I had a nice time at 200 km/h (o.k., o.k. it was only 195) to fold in the outside pedestals (would have been able to bring another 1- 2 km/h more ). But they only entered in an angle of about 15° – then it was over. At about 160 km/h it went a bit further – but not completely. So – who can explain this to me ? saluti elkman now very excited
