In order to get a switching plus, I need a CAN-bus adapter from Dietz, for example, with suitable cable sets for radio and steering wheel remote control, right? Is this thing good for something else or just for the switching plus? Do I need anything else or is this all? What about the parking aid in the back? It only works in connection with the original radio, right? Hello, my friend bought a Volvo S60 D5 BJ 2002 with automatic and about 200tkm. After a week he noticed that the gearbox is jerking off at the intersection shortly before the stop. I asked my workmate this meant that the oil level in the gearbox could be low or a software update could remedy. I advised him that he should change the gear oil at this mileage times. Has anyone ever done this before? What about Do it Yourself ? How much is the oil and the oil filter or sieve? The workshop said something from 300€ -400€ including material and working time + rear brake blocks are also exchanged. she also said the 10L oil needed !!! That seemed a lot to me, is not a truck transmission. If the jerking should not disappear what else is there for sources of error? Thank you!

Hello! First a happy new year! Today my (thanks to the forum’s tip, unlocked in Holland) heater with incredibly loud noises said goodbye. The heater had already for some time caused rattles and shoopers noise in operation. Oddly enough there was no error message in the on-board computer and I had to switch off the heater manually. This reacted with even louder howling and then went out after about 1 minute. Is there anyone here in the forum, the r works as a master or as a mechanic at Volvo and can give a few tips on how to set up and install the heater? I would like to take a look at it myself. Also workshop literature or details about the type of the heater would be helpful (Ardic type ??). Before now some well-intentioned advice ala “let’s rather the fingers of it”. After a test drive with the A6 V6TDI and immediately following with the V70 D5 I was positively surprised: The A6 was very hesitant with the multitronic during the gas acceptance and only then went off. The D5 was much more spontaneous and went through even better. Besides, it likes very well with the 5-cylinder sound. Contrary to the “brubble” of the V6TDI that sounds simply more dynamic. And that even quieter than in the A6, i.e. ni Also the suspension comfort and the brakes were much better with the V70. The A6 jumps over uneven ground and has a bad braking effect in wet weather. So far I was more attached to the Audi and had found the V70 only from the price-performance ratio for interesting. Now I have become a convinced Volvo fan and will order it. Only what color??? moin, today I noticed with my thickness that the complete amature lighting suddenly became darker. This concerned the navigator, radio and the instruments (tacho etc.). Perhaps by chance when I had to drive through a rather dark area from the sun. Unfortunately, there were no further serious differences of light and dark on my house distance, so this phenomenon was not recognisable again. Hello, my moose is lame, he calls for “urgent transmission service”, the error codes indicate the solenoid as a cause, but: Even a while the gearbox turns rough, I have slip in the 2nd gear, sometimes (at high torque) also in the 3rd, and with now 165,000 kilometers on the clock is the conclusion that it will probably not be done with the solenoid alone. Out must motor and transmission anyway, rebuild kits with all disks, belts and seals there is in the US-eBay for 450 $, so I do nails with heads – or at least try it. Worse than having to entrust the gearbox to the professional in the end, it can’t come, and at that point I’m actually already… Here I’ll document how far I’ve come with it. Hello all, I am currently looking for a larger (currently Fiesta 2005) vehicle for commuting. I have come across big Volvofan and by chance on the following cars: – Volvo S60 year 2002 – 53,000 km run (recognizable) – stands there like new – no signs of wear, interior leather smells like new – car gas approx. 2009 retrofitted (Prins for almost 2,800,- Euro from the professional) – allegedly 10 liters consumption on average, 8 liters on highway realistic? – New quality rims and tires (Winteralus in addition) – new grill and “Fake 2. Exhaust pipe”, whereby the aperture had to be slightly sawn in the back – retrofitted camera – stapled – judgment at the last TÜV “extraordinarily good condition” – vehicle stood in the garage in case of rain and was brought out especially only on holiday trips (Gardasee) – in the last years approx. 6.000 € were put into the car (including car gas, lack/tires etc.) color silver is not my favorite, however I have the feeling that the r S60 could accompany me (about 30,000km/year) with the good Volvo engine for a few more years. As price the gentleman had targeted 10,000 €. Is this realistic? If not, what could you pay for a vehicle in that condition? Originally had a C30 with the small diesel or Flexifuel LPG in the narrow selection. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello everyone, has someone here already converted his moose to natural gas or knows something about it? I am interested in retrofitters and costs. Sure that it will be much more expensive than a conversion to LPG, but CNG should be much more effective (energy content 1.5/KG at CNG to 0.8 at LPG). hello, I have been eagerly reading here for some time and have already been able to bring many useful things around my desired car xc70 in experience; many thanks to everyone! at a volvo dealer in Austria there is currently a used xc70 with 115,000 km (ez: 11/2003); question: which service is due soon and how expensive will that probably be?; and when is a timing belt change due? the dealer says only at approx. 160000 km; is that true? and something else: the valve cover seal has already been changed twice (he should have sweated..) and the angle gear (?) has already been changed; hands off or no problem? the car looks optically like new; was certainly very cared for and gentle driving (at least that’s how it works). many thanks in advance for your help leni11 here a short introduction: I come from Austria, drive at the time vw passat, toyota landcruiser and mercedes e; in the past I had already two volvos (740 and 960) ; for reasons of space (as soon as 3 children) I separate myself from my vw and toyota and want to get an xc70.

Hello all XC fans with BLIS, for explanation, this article should definitely not make BLIS bad! I would order it again immediately at my next vehicle! BLIS works 95% correct with me. But unfortunately also 5% false indications: 1. BLIS lights up when I drive on the left lane of the highway, although no other vehicle is behind me or next to me. 2. BLIS often lights up when I drive in the rain. 3. BLIS lights up when the sun shines directly into the lens for a bite l by a reflection etc. I have already received 3 times from the friendly a set of new exterior mirrors (the last directly from the work). Did anyone have such experiences from you?
