  • CD changer

Hello together Have a question about meien CD changer, search engine I have already used but found nothing suitable. Owned an XC 90 year 2004 with CD changer which has now given up its mind after a long time. Now I have bought a new one, and not mind that there are different, from 2006 I believe, was used there a new model and that’s exactly what I have now. Can someone tell me now if this changer runs into my Volvo. Thank you for answers Mfg Matthias

  • Marten protection – wire harness

Hello guys, I have a capital damage to my V70 II Bj 2005, the wire harness needs to be completely renewed. Is there any suitable accessories for this model to seal the engine compartment from below? Does something else help against this rodent (electric shock installation?) What experiences do you have with such damage and the duration of a wire harness order and repair. There is unfortunately no replacement vehicle (too close to the place of residence) but after all the partial cascade pays the damage abzg In my carport, shortly after midnight a week ago, there was a 10 minute fight between 2 martens, which was so loud that I wanted to get out of bed again to see what was going on – now I know that such field fights around this season are “normal” and that the (bit) aggressiveness of the animals increases strongly and they seem to react to the car parts (cable, rubber, etc.). nd recommended to remove scents, in my case there is a capital “blow” that the dung animal left on the small platform inside next to the right “kot” wing. Greeting from the foot

  • Test drive with an XC 90 D5 with Heico tuning

We are currently driving a Mercedes T-model (03/2006) E 280 T-CDI with 190 hp and 7-speed automatic. Are very pleased with the styling and design of the great Sweden and have now made an extensive test drive with an XC 90 D5 summum (EZ 09/2010), automatic with HEICO tuning and 210PS. The car could fully meet the expectations, except for the engine and the transmission. The 5-cylinder is always present and clearly heard up to approx.140Km/h. The 6-speed automatic always gives the driver the feeling very Being nervous and not knowing if you can tame the engine. When accelerating, the motor turns very high (up to approx. 3500 tours) and then with “grinding clutch” via the automatic to release the force of the moror quite quickly. Even on slight gradients, the automatic switches a gear up and not down, so you always have the feeling the power is missing. In this way, the consumption indicator goes unnecessarily up. I mean that with a little more fine tuning of Autom I know that the new model will come in the next few years. Unfortunately, for me and my wife, this test drive was not the way we imagined it would be. This means that the change to an XC 90 is not going to take place in the near future. No one wants a deterioration in the quality of the car to be sold voluntarily. r has heard exactly the points of criticism raised by us from other customers.

  • V70 II – Reasonable Screen Navi (Pioneer HD3)?

Hello everyone, that the factory solution in terms of Navi rather suboptimal, should be clear to every V70-II driver. But which replacement can be integrated both technically and optically perfectly? 1. Bluepower – that eliminates the return sensors. 2. Pioneer HD3 – there is no suitable frame, also the sensors no longer work. Who has had real-time experience there? Greeting carrier bag

  • V70 II: Purchase considering / your opinion and a few more questions

Hello everybody, I’m currently looking – actually after a 850s, or V70 I. I would like to have it converted to LPG. Now I have found in the search in the www car, which are already converted to LPG. This makes the cars of course more expensive, but I would save in the end, because buy plus conversion comes more expensive than buy an already converted one. These are both V70 II, which is why I have two or three general questions – more about this later. once I ask for your assessment of the cars car one: Volvo V70 2.4 Comfort, EZ 12/2001, 253,000 km. The owner with whom I telephoned, thinks everything is fine, no maintenance jam, climate works, everything “what is on the car, works” (meaning “electric” so to speak). The equipment is also nice. Manco (?): No checkbook, the owner did a lot of himself, but invoices, from which everything comes out, are available. Price would be 4000 VHB. Car two: Volvo V70 2.4 Premium, EZ 11/2002, 255,000 km. Not yet on the phone. Class car actually, but: “Cooler for 2.5 years pressed in (driving on highway over truck tires) but densely and without restriction fully functional.” Should one leave one’s fingers from the beginning? There could have been even more broken? Price would be 4300 VHB. So, and now even more general questions. As I said, I had actually rather looked for 850 and V70 I, until with the V70 II into the field of view. Why? Because I find 850 and V70 I nicer – the long muzzle of the V70 II is not quite mine – but that would of course be secondary with a good car. But I have already read so much to the Volvos that I probably already drive myself crazy. But better asked than remained stupid. BJ 2001 and 2002, that’s the ones with the Magneti Marelli throttle valve. Since better to let off the fingers? And with these engines there are no more hydro tusks, what with Gasbetr And: Is the turning circle of the V70 II compared to the 850er / V70 I really so big that you get problems with it partly in parking garages? Does a three-point turn on a normal road or are these already four points? Bzw. can you turn on a four-lane road in a train? Sorry, if you have to laugh now, but I am a bit unsure, and it would be stupid if I bought a car, which would then make me in the A. lltag strest… Thank you for your thoughts and answers, Patrick

  • XC90: Insurance increase! Who was that?

Hello, if I don’t have anything else to motch about my Dickelch, then stop at the insurance: 2007: liability, SF9, 45%, R4, TK23, 381 EUR all-inclusive 325/150, SF9, 50%, R2, TK21, 331 EUR 2008: liability, SF10, 45%, R4, TK24, 463 EUR all-inclusive 325/150, SF10, 50%, R2, TK21, 348 EUR That’s almost 100 EUR more, about 14% surcharge. To increase liability: Who with its XC90 is so against a highway bridge pillar that the bridge has collapsed? To increase? with the complete: Who has subjected his XC90 to a NCAP crash test?? Well, let’s see if there is an increase only in Volvo insurance or elsewhere….? Greeting xc90er …who doesn’t build any accidents anyway.

  • Women in XC 90

Dear moose drivers, have you noticed how many large salmon are controlled by women? With us in the area (Kreis Böblingen) it is certainly 70-80%. And they circle the big ship far better through the traffic than some “ach-bin-ich-toll” small-cartante, where every truck parking gap becomes a challenge. My theory is that we men here in the forum talk about the Köppe, while our women take a leisurely walk outside. A By the way, my wife (like every day) is on the road with “my” not even half-year old XC90 and has already cheered 10000 km on the car. She is fun, and I like to ride with you. And if I really need a mobile kit is “her” 10 year old Opel Vectra ready. I don’t tell his color, otherwise you put together for an old 740 or the XC90er knocks me out on the way! Nice greeting and happy Christmas traffic, your Scotch

  • Transmission problems V70/II T5

Moin together, are there any problems with the automatic transmission known with V70/II? After the first of the reverse gears failed, it was then a short time later also the forward steps. It is a T5 from 2000 with approx. 180,000 km.

  • XC90 automatic lever like “frozen”

A friendly beginner – Hello to all XC90s ! I’ve been reading “with” for a while since I couldn’t find my problem in any thread.. quickly logged in and started asking. My favorite companion is an XC90 D5 Summum BJ 2007, “Penelope” was taken over in 2008 as an annual car and perfected by the dealer with a stand-up heater ;-). Now to our all-winter again occurring problem that might have developed into a huge problem, SH would not have said on board. The automatic lever cannot be moved out of the P position. The lever seems to be frozen. The engine can be started without any problems. Only when the heater has preheated the car can the lever be placed on D and I can finally drive off. The duration of the preheating phase until the lever works depends on the outside temperature, between 5min until 1h. The workshop master could never find anything, since the car was either already warm or the problem did not occur. The car stopped because of the annual inspection and this problem already overnight on the workshop yard, (allegedly) without starting problems. The solution proposal of the workshop was to change the automatic transmission oil for approx. 180,00 EUR, which I have not yet had to do. On the one hand because this does not fall under the warranty and on the other hand, I have I read that the AG oil never has to be changed. I would be interested in what you mean and whether someone has the same problem / had. Thank you in advance from the wise “preheater”

  • Battery spontaneously unloaded // Workshop stunned

Hello together, recently my moose (V70 II BJ 2002) worries me about getting started. Sometimes it is standing unmoved for three days in icy cold and then starts well afterwards, a few days later I drive by car at noon, take it off and in the evening the battery is completely unloaded when trying to start (cause does not really spin, ads flicker, one hears “click”. In the meantime I have three different statements. – Volvo dealer (using Volvo’s own measuring device on the vo – Battery dealer (measured by multimeter and “banner” measuring device): battery top i.o..; LiMa defective (13,x Volt) Finally, I drove to a car workshop with electrics specialization… there the charging power of the LiMA (voltage & ampere) was measured and found to be OK. Also, the resting current was completely in the green area, no consumers still used the juice of the stationary car. There they could not tell me why the car occasionally makes the grease. I have the quiet assumption that there is a connection with the heater, in two of three situations I had to run the heater before the start process, which can of course also be a coincidence. By the way, the battery is a banner 95AH battery which is just one year old. Alternator supplies according to print 140AH.
