Hello to all Volvo drivers from the Honda group! Have, after soon a new (used??) car is due again, and you should not be brand-blind, also look over Volvo. And have to say that I like the current S60 very well. Only I can not quite decide which motorization, because I do not know the Volvo engines. Soundwise I would probably take the five-cylinder, only beziner or diesel? Test drive will not fail anyway, but I would like to do what if I give gas. But do not have to be 200+ hp. Therefore I would have the following questions to you: 1.) Which engine do you have in the S60, and would you take it again (Auto+Motor)? 2.) What bothers you about your motorization; or what else is negative (subjective for you) at the S60? 3.) What (special) equipment do you have and how are you satisfied with it? So, that would be the most important to me. Since the current S60 is actually built?

Stick off headlights for left-hand traffic
Hello community, there was probably a Fred on this topic, but somehow the search function doesn’t spit it out for me. Therefore again on current occasion with me: With what and how exactly do you stick the (Xenon) headlights (in the XC90) best off for the left traffic? Also with regard to: Compatibility Headlight plastic disc with adhesive tape or temperature problem: According to rumors, the disc is also too hot at pasted off places at Xenon and can break?!? I don’t think so, but who has reliable information about it? In my manual none of the templates already mentioned in the forum was included, then I got the ones from a newer MJ. But there is the positioning of the template by means of markings on the headlight glass, which are not present with me (so the point is missing, only the horizontal lines are present). Loud then with Volvo is then no change of the headlights possible (at BMW this obviously goes by software with the Xenon models), but I could order a set of UK-swers and then let it be financially built.

Are you happy with your XC90?
Hello, starting from the survey for him I would like to ask the question of the questions here. I quote: Quotation: Now I read so often already from dissatisfied … drivers, that slowly really the question arises to me, how so the end user really thinks about the car now. I is of course clear that in a forum mostly problems and dissatisfaction are discussed. So hand on the heart: how satisfied are you really with the Dickelch? It would also be nice if you can present pros and cons briefly here … Greeting Tom (and also very excited about the answers!)

Haldex failed at XC 90
Well, the XC 90 is already a very strange autto. It rings when you put a Coke bottle on the passenger seat, it rings, if you are not strapped on, it tells you that the windshield wiper water is soon all and it tells you which light bulb has a burnt-out filament – but essential things, like an unusual all-wheel drive, it understands perfectly to conceal. Yes, I push the thick elk again and again violent gradients up – without any warning and warning I can now do this with martially rotating front tires without any traction on the rear axle, because of the spinning of the tyres on the front axle, the vehicle is hardly steerable on the slope, please don’t think of stopping when the concrete wall and left the abyss is waiting…. Thank you Volvo for this wonderful experience! After research on the topic Haldex coupling I think that any sensor cable should be defective, since the clutch itself should be indestructible. And – has to give any suggestions or advices to the workshop?!!!

Is it possible to buy the S80s/S60s.,.. also with high mileage?
I will soon finish my training, and am thinking of buying me a S80 or something like that, if I have worked for about a year…. Immo I drive a 360er but I still have a 740er on the farm (I have fetig again, had an accident) and a Saab 900II (I have finished again, had a motor damage). But if I would buy a S80 with high mileage, should just look good, and be the best first hand…. Of the 2.5 liter Audi Diesel I will leave the fingers anyway, the commonrail diesel from Volvo (D5) i will still be too expensive. I want to buy a petrol engine more, and then have it converted to gas…. Which gasoline engines are the most stable? What should I pay attention to? Or is it better if I stay with my trucky Volvos? Already in advance many thanks for your answers Greetings

Seen Through
On the weekend I was travelling with my best wife of all in the XC70. After we had reached an intermediate destination, where I had parked on a driveway to a pasture, I did not park backwards, but first generously turned a lap on the meadow to turn around. My mouth angles probably shrugged, because my wife looked at me wide grinningly and asked: “Naaaa? Why did you do this now?” When I didn’t come up with a suitable excuse so quickly, she guessed my thoughts and added: “Because you can…?” Touché. What should you say about it? Monty PS: No, I don’t want to post here in the sense of: “What do you do to the ecological balance of the world when you drive into the biotope wild meadow? What if you killed a mouse?!?”. If someone wants to write something in that direction, then please as PN, password “Platter Nager”.

Foot-locking brake is annoying.
I used to think about the traffic lights with regard to the many glowing brake lights: what are the uffe brakes? if it’s flat, I don’t roll anyway – when the gear is taken out – and if not, then there’s a hand brake; and so many automatic gearboxes in D-position will probably not be. Well, in my old DB 230 there was this stupid foot brake and now in the thick ship again. What’s that supposed to be – why can’t I get a normal hand brake any more – technical progress??? I hate to fiddle it at this left half-hidden handle to get the brake solved – I’m right-handed, like the majority of my fellow citizens! And the nice drift option they have ruined me with it too. I hate them! lG Richard (who still stands on his elk)

Theft safety XC90
It’s holiday time again and we’re heading south. The question that I’m asking now is whether we can leave our XC90 in a motel for a night near the highway without possibly standing in front of an empty parking lot the next morning. Specifically, this means that the anti-theft protection of our elk is sufficiently strong to make the theft without a key at least to the greater use of crafts? I think if the parking lot is somewhat busy, might that be enough?

Conclusion Test drive XC 90 V8
Hello, I can still drive the car for 1 day, but nevertheless my conclusion: Huge driving fun, especially on rural roads, with the highest risk of driving. Well-graded and switching gear, a great engine for this car, but not for the time. Nevertheless, everyone should enjoy the fun. Greetings Jo P.S.: It’s only after a whole time that I realize that the car has no roof railing – the wind noises are significantly lower!

XC90-one more
After a few weeks in the forum it was time to order today. Order is out: Volvo XC 90 D5, 185 HP > manual transmission > 7seater > Equipment: MOMENTUM, > Inside: saharbeige > Extras: metallic black, laminated glass, turning mat in the luggage compartment, dimming of the windows at the rear (from the friendly), parking aid at the rear, parking heater with FB Navi: dispensed (price(performance is simply not right) Why: great design, 7 seats, acceptable driving performance, no real alternatives (for me actually only the Chrsler Voyager came into consideration, but only for 500m test ride…), woman and children liked the big guy too…. Thanks again to the many posters, if it is not fun you blame….
