XC90 wheel bearing defective after 35,000 km – no culant from Volvo
Hello, last week I had my Volvo with mileage 36,000 km at the 2nd inspection (60.000 km). Here it was found that the wheel bearing is left defective + track rod at the front right. Kulanz was rejected by Volvo, because I had the 1st inspection carried out instead of in March 2008 only in May 2008 and the 2nd inspection instead of March and May 2009 in November 2009. After the mileage between inspection 1 and 2 was low, I did the period in summer 2009 with a Roa dcheck bridged. Conclusion: 1. Road check (no matter whether summer or winter) does nothing. 2. Statement from Volvo: defect of the wheel bearings normal at an early stage. 3. No culant possible, as prescribed inspection dates did not comply. I praise our Dt. car manufacturers, here this has not been a topic so far in case of damage of this kind and the customers were not fed such lapidar. further conclusion: This is our first Volvo. And also the last. Has someone similar experiences od He knows advice here? A frustrated Volvo XC90 owner greets.

BLIS malfunction?
In spite of all the advice, I ordered BLIS. However, the function is extremely modest. Especially the right BLIS indicates about every 8th vehicle, that means I can only see the light on every eighth vehicle. In tunnels it shows regularly when the headlight of the outdated vehicle appears in the rear-view mirror, which is also a joke. With trucks it sometimes flashes two or three times on during the overtake. Who also has BLIS and also such a misconduct? My garage had found nothing, but a uodate played up. Since then at least the periodically appearing error message (reduced function Dead Angle System) no longer occurred.

Volvo V70 Edition New car -9% on EIA?
Hello, I would like to buy a new car V70, not the old model, which the dealer can order at Volvo but still according to my wishes. I don’t give an old car in payment nor finance it, but should only get 9% discount on EIA. But I feel that this is too small, how do you see it? Greetings JD

2.4D with 131 hp…reliable ?
Hello experts, I have fallen in love with the S60. (My first Vovo !) Since the wallet only allows one used, I have before me an S60 diesel, built 03-04, with approx.120.000 km (+/- 20,000 km). At approx. 25,000 km a year it is supposed to be a diesel. Now I read about the D5 with 163 hp actually mainly positive regarding the reliability. What experiences can you tell about the reliability of the 131 hp machine ? Because have a “in the eye”…although di e 163 HP machine of course has more “steam”….

Westfalia trailer coupling on V70II from MY2005
Hello! I am new here and have a question about the removable trailer coupling of Westfalia on V70II, 2.4d, MY 2006. After I had already decided on the coupling of Westfalia, I was now informed by the workshop before the assembly that the coupling holder (vertical tube) would be clearly visible after the assembly and would probably look out several centimeters behind/under the bumper. This is because the mounting instructions refer only to the version up to 2004. Here in the forum are already pictures showing the coupling on the V70II to MY 2004. However, since the bumper is differently shaped here, I would be very grateful if someone could put pictures of the Westfalia coupling here from different angles on vehicles from BJ 2005 onwards.

Battery change S60
Hello, since my battery has already exceeded the 5 year limit, I would like to replace it before the beginning of winter. (Not least because it can come to various software problems due to an empty battery). Now I have already found some change instructions over the SuFu. However, all these instructions go to it, if problems have already arisen due to wrong battery changes, or various units of the instruments have failed. My question: How wec hsle I correctly my vehicle battery without getting any problems with the electrics? Bzw., what do I have to take into account? BTW: Which battery brand would you recommend? Thank you!!! LG, Nordisk.

Volvo youngster, small subtleties
Hey ho people I bought my (temporary dream car) Volvo S60 2.5 T AWD 4 weeks ago and he needs a little finish now. What I’m talking about is this: 1. If I liked iphone/mp3 player music via radio ( HU 603 ), my question now, has someone already made experience with the part from the link? 2. At the moment 225/45 R17 Borbet rims are on it (which I find rather boring) and I would like to put other aluminums on it. Fit 19″ on it without anything on the ride ug to change ? Which “Ordinary” rim manufacturers do you know which rims with matching hole circle provide? 3. (I what will come now is a mixture of childish and proletarian but what about ) A pop-off valve … in the LPT? What do you say about it? Thank you in advance and a warm luck on

Replace 210 TKM and automatic drive?
Hello guys, my S80/ 2.9 with 210 TKM reported two weeks ago “gear maintenance urgent”. The friendly has immediately replaced all solenoid valves in the gearbox. Almost 1,000 km further (one week), same scenario, same message. Statement from the friendly: “gear defective, can not be repaired, spare parts not to get, complete replacement necessary”. After several phone calls I was confirmed that automatic transmission cannot be repaired. en + work -> 1,000 Ören. Why can these people do it already?http://www.tri-geschriebe.org/Volvo.htm … and above all cheap and at a fixed price? Is the repair still worth it? My 245 had 375 TKM and the 745 Turbo Intercooler 425 TKM. The S80 dies already at half (+ the electronic misery I already had!!) What is the legal situation? The first solenoid valve repair has been clearly for the Katz. Does it have to be paid? Lt. two other friends is with Volvo-Wer We know that an exchange of M-Ventiles does nothing. So according to the motto, it does not bring anything but we collect quickly. An enormously disappointed Volvo driver. Greetings from Bavaria.

XC90: Kram Premium Mute Box with Parrot CK
Hi, as already announced, I have now installed the Kram Premium Mute Box in my XC90 (model year 2006). Previously, the Parrot CK3500 was already “traditionally” connected via the AEM module, but since no output is possible via the vehicle loudspeakers, I switched to the Kram Box. So: Thursday (as reseller ) ordered, arrived Friday and installed today (Saturday). I have documented the whole of course illustrated – but – since already installed – the Installation of the display and the micro of the Parrot only briefly mentioned and not fully included – here you may need further information. Here you will find the installation as high-resolution PDF (approx. 2.8 MB) and as low-resolution PDF (approx. 370 kB). I look forward to your reactions and if necessary correction notes! As a result: The audio quality of the hands-free system is now not recognisable – the Krambox separates the audio system cleanly and everything works perfectly. Side effect: The power supply of the amplifier does not switch off immediately after switching off the ignition but delays about 1 minute… Schönen Gruß Jürgen
