  • My new/used V70 still raises questions

Hi! Goes around a V70 year 2005 The steering wheel is not exactly standing at the Gerdeauslauf. Set track and fall, clear. But on the motorway up and down one notices in the curves that is a little game in the steering, or it pushes over the front wheels (I have to test even more precisely). Feels in about as if he was on smooth ice and that at very humane speeds. Others in front of me are more sporty around the corner. Servo pump was already suspected and would be the handle What do you think it could be? Greeting Lennart

  • V70 II AWD D5 cracking in the area of cardan shaft

Hi guys! So far I have found numerous answers in this super community, unfortunately I now have a problem which I did not find a solution yet. My V70 II AWD cracks when changing loads. Somehow clonck or something like that. My friend always said it was the interlocking of the semi-axle, which I believed until then, but it is not. Today I was at the ArbΓΆ (I am from Austria; arboue is like the ADAC) see us, the noise comes from the cardan shaft. Handbrake wurd e was attracted and it was tried to couple and when force comes to the cardan shaft then the cracking took place. was good to see because the vehicle was standing on a pit. In June 2010 my V70 remained in Croatia because of a broken outer clutch cylinder, cylinders and clutch were renewed and I mean to have the cracks since this repair. Only until now I was always comforted by the friendly on the drive shaft. I will now have to drive as soon as possible to the friendly Can anyone help me in advance? Does any of you know this problem? What can that be? Thank you for your help!

  • Maintenance of the throttle flap at the 2.4T makes sense

Hello together I’ve already read a few things about the throttle flap here, and as it looks like it can already occur defective ones here. Since I’m a friend of intensive maintenance and like to perform such to prevent failures (have also had the gear oil flushing done before a defect), I wonder if it would make sense to wait the throttle flap. When I connected the Dice, side of the DK was not yet a fault, however I have an unround motorl If this cold has been started, it can occur here (but it doesn’t have to) that this is easy at the sawing. But after 500 meters it’s gone. Would it make sense to clean the throttle valve. Would that make a Evtl failure of these preventions? Or are the faults purely electrical. And if only electronic, what breaks? Could also be that the electronic error is caused by heavy catchiness, right?

  • Purchase in 2002 or 2003 V 70 D5

Hi, just now I put the rented XC 70 D5 back on the yard, with my future dealer. As to be expected, the car very excited me. The return trip in the passat was very sobering afterwards. Why I did not drive a V 70 test is due to the fact that I wanted to have a vehicle with Xenon, d5 , Autom. and RTI. Now my Volvo dealer asked me to do the order this year because next year everything will be different. What do you say? On 01.04.03 my old leasing contract expires. Greetings, Tex

  • Load capacity Geartronic

Does anyone know the technical data of the Geartronic quite by chance? I mean to have read something of 440Nm as maximum, but I get old and find no more background of the whole thing is that I would want to miss my V70 a BSR stage and I can’t lose sight of the Nm at the Geartronic. So let the info flow

  • Break lance

Hello dear communication reader, a short time ago I got into the embarrassment of having to look for a new car for small money. There is a Volvo S60 2.4 from first hand with 150,000km in my arms. Checkbook maintained with documented history from the first kilometer. The workmanship, feel and look are first class. Compared to 5 Series BMW E39 or Mercedes E-Class W210, which are usually very rusty, the Volvo 1A is there. I can only advise any car seeker to consider Volvo. The devil is, of course, in the details. I don’t know what else to expect. FAZIT: I love the S60 πŸ™‚ I’m always open to comments or criticism. Greetings to the community

  • S60 Switching joystick Vibrations

My S 60 , 2.4 , 170 hp is now one year old. 12 TDM kilometers. From the beginning, the vibrations of the shift stick at speeds from 3200 rpm in 5th gear have annoyed me.Now during a longer journey, the “shapper” got on my nerves again. Only if I hold the stick a little with my hand the noise is gone. Even when the gears are fully accelerated and turned out, you can only avoid the noise if you hold the shift lever slightly tight. I wanted to get ahead of the upcoming Annual inspection only once in the forum ask if someone has similar problems ? In the workshop everything is usually “small talking”. The euphoria for my first Volvo is strongly damped with me , since still other things like constant noises of the interior covering (depending on the outside temp.) and dashboard , hanging needle in the rev meter u.s.w the driving fun nevertheless very clouding . • Improvements in Volvo

Hello together, I recently bought a V70 MJ 03 and have been driving through traffic very relaxed. In short, I’m thrilled. But I’ve found a few things where I thought that would be great if it were still there. And now I thought I’d just post my wishes in here, and I’m curious about your reactions. So, I’ll start out. – I’d like to have a loading area in my Volvo that would be about 2,10 m long! Then I’d love to have a loading area in my Volvo! I don’t always have to drive around with an open tailgate because of 20 or 30 cm. – I also find it pleasant to fold the passenger seat so that there would be a level. – I would like a larger hand-shoe compartment. – I find the bottom flaps practical. But they would have to be a little deeper. Then I could store a folding basket and my flat tool case in it. What would you like? Don’t just have to go around the V70. Greeting Wolfgang

  • Combi as a load eel πŸ˜‰ Who has packed their V/XC really “full”?

Hi together, it wasn’t exactly planned like this (I had to take something with me in addition), but the XC70 had to be taken the week again correctly πŸ˜‰ In the picture my return trip from Hamburg, respectively the loaded truck donkey just before the descent (there was a full tank to it ;-). Almost 500km of easy track – the level dampers were sorry. To the picture: I had the Stollen tires on it, because my new tyres are just pulled on at the dealer – normally I drive such Routes NOT with SOLCHEN tires πŸ˜‰ By the way: I drove with the fully charged XC to my previous fuel record. Since I had driven to 98% with cruise control at 120Km/h, I had an average consumption (extra reset before the ride) of 7.1 l/100km πŸ™‚ Who has had his station wagon so full (and has a photo of it)? Nano Nano! Torsten – the XC fan (and has already had his 850s fuller. Somewhere in the MT there is also a picture of the box πŸ˜‰

  • Motor control communication disturbed!! What now? V70 2.4 T

Hello, my V70 2.4 T runs at outside temperatures below 15 degrees a bit rough and unround when accelerating. Especially in the 3rd+4th gear. After LMM, intake air temperature sensor, spark plugs, TVC etc. the fault is still there. The car accelerates a bit thrusty and partly tough and slightly rough at 2500-3000 revolutions. Especially after today’s exchange of the temperature sensor, the thrust-like acceleration was added. As if the turbo switched late in the 3. +4. Especially gear. Does the car have to learn the new temperature feeler first or something like that? Is that something??? And: It was in the error memory today: “motor control unit– communication disturbed-!” The error can not be deleted. I got a new software for the engine control on it with Volvo 2 months ago. Can that be because?? Is there something no more?? I had the car read out today in the free car-fit workshop, where I also bought the car. The update 2 months ago h at but made at Volvo. Should I contact the Volvo workshop again and ask if it has anything to do with the update?? Can a faulty engine control unit or a failed update lead to the defects and problems??? Can an update paralyze the communication? What does an engine control unit cost?? Many many questions…I know….don’t complain! I’m in despair! I don’t want to go to a workshop anymore. And don’t have any more money! Greeting! And THANK YOU !!!! PS: I’ve got grad Calling the Volvo workshop: Could of course not have anything to do with the update. And: If the communication was disturbed, I could not have read out the error memory. But the error memory worked. Have also deleted an error etc.! Well: Funny that I mean that the jerking only occurs at cooler outside temp.!! I think it will remain a mystery!
