My V70-II-D5, 163PS+Chip, year 02/2002, 175Tkm, has recently the following Macke: From the normal ride no more power comes out of the acceleration. Max. top speed is then 125km/h with fully penetrated accelerator pedal & the speed does not come over 2500/min. Sometimes the “sleep ride” goes from even after 10 minutes to 1 hour (does fun during holiday trips) again and then is rest for a few days or weeks until it occurs again. Yesterday I stopped then u and the engine turned off, after the restart everything was OK again. Does anyone know what it might be about?

Hello Volvisti, with my V70R from 2005 the following phenomenon occurred again and again last year: in heavy wet and snow-covered roads a high-frequency, screaming noise sounds, which cannot be changed either by heavy steering movements or by braking. On ski holidays this year I almost went mad to have about 35min. high mountain a screaming companion at the front right… My Volvo master thinks that any plates on the brake would be the reason he h at now written to Volvo.. On the inside of the tires there are still a minimum of 8mm profile on the Laengsrille after 29tkm, while the outer laengsrille has only 2-3mm. And this on all four wheels. Have you observed similar things? This is not normal, but it won’t be a adjusted track/sturch either, since it affects both axles the same way.

Hello dear community, I just opened up here and look for your opinion about a used V70 2.4 163 HP Black Edition. The vehicle has an EZ 03/2004 and about 31000km down. What do you have to look at or take a closer look at? Is such a purchase at the moment (Particle filter drama ) advisable? Did the vehicle test and did not find the engine bad. In AutoBildAllesAllesAllesrad were tested 7-seater V8 SUV. Result: 1. Audi Q7, 2. Jeep Commander (Hemi V8), 3. XC90, 4. Cadillac SRX The XC90 only lands behind the Jeep because of the terrain classification (clearly, no one arrives against the Commander, even the Q7 not) and because the Jeep is the most cost-effective V8 on the market. Overall, I think the test results are ok, but the Audi seems to me a little “overvalued”, its sheer size (i.e. outer length, inside it is comparatively scarce) The testers probably also impressed. Otherwise the usual praise and rebuke, especially the question about the V8-sense (in view of rising fuel prices). rolo

Evening, I actually wanted to do my brother a favor, unfortunately this doesn’t really work… It’s about an S60 Mod.’05. This one has original footroom lights in front. Now I have this converted to white Superflux. I tested them with my Audi and it’s fine… But: With the S60 they don’t go somehow… + and – are right! Now I didn’t think they’d go at all, but they don’t glimmer very easily. the FFB pushes… do the footroom lights only shine when it gets dark? Before the expansion they went still… What could it be?? Hello XC90 community, the other day my XC90 was at the 2nd annual inspection. In addition to inspection, new oil and filter as well as air and pollen filter and fuel filter the parking brake was re-set and the cooling system was checked. Total: 555,- EUR incl. VAT. Is this normal? Greeting Roland

Hello moose driver ! Just picked up my new XC90 D5 from the friendly one. On the occasion he informed me that I should have a complete oil change after 1000 km, because of material abrasion when grinding the engine. With 0W30 (required) that is at least about 180 €. In the vehicle description nothing about it. What do you think about it ? Who let this do ? Greeting and thanks, Scotch

Hello together, I have a V70 D5, Bj 2003 with RTI navigation. since the DVD drive does not work anymore I followed the instructions for cleaning here from the forum, unfortunately without success – my navigation device still does not read the DVD. Anyway thank you for the detailed instructions. Unfortunately, the car does not start anymore. According to the instructions I have disconnected the battery and then left 10 min ignition key position II. Have then DVD drive off and rejected r installed and forgot to set the ignition key back to position “off”. Can it be that the car no longer starts? No special messages appear on the display, both keys I have already tried. I would be very grateful for help.
