    Hello, I am thinking about whether my next car should be a Volvo V70 D5 Bj 2004 up or an A6 Avant 2.5/1.9 with automatic / multitronic. Audi is of course more dignified by the equipment. However, he has problems with the multitronics. I want to pull my caravan on holiday and make sure that the transmission does not fly around my ears, even after high running performance. Your experiences in this regard would interest me.

  • Overpriced?

    Hello, yesterday my V 70 II 2,4D was in the 120,000 maintenance. This is supposed to be a somewhat more expensive inspection, because various things are done, which are only to be done every second or third inspection. In addition, there were two “extra-scheduled” repairs: – new brake pads and brake discs at the rear as well as – replacement of the engine suspension due to wear. I paid a lot of 890 euros. That shocked me quite nicely. Is this okay – or overpriced taking into account all the work done? Especially since I was also dissatisfied with this maintenance for the first time with the whole round. I got an Audi (würg) instead of the promised V 70 as a rental car and for a small problem with two sometimes failed control lights in the display field could not offer any other solution except the lapidary information that one could only exchange the whole combination instrument, which would cost 1200 euros. I said, no thank you. To all evils were also seat and steering wheel so extremely disfigured that I had been used forever to achieve the optimal inspection.

  • Rugged driving at all speeds S80

    Hello together, From the older posts I unfortunately did not get smart, I hope you can help me. I have the problem since our vacation… If I drive for example on the highway constantly the same speed, the gas goes away at once, only for a small fraction of a second. This about every 10 seconds. I switched off the air conditioning. The same applies even if I drive with the cruise control, no matter at any speed. I drive a S80 T6 BJ 2001 110000 km. Service was made recently.     So, this morning it was so far, after my night shift the thermometer in my S60 greeted me with -15°C. Shortly turned on the ignition key and it went on like at +20°C. I think I finally found the right brand for me. Shortly later the thermometer even showed -17°C. I have never been so pleasant in winter.     Evening, the last threads on this topic are already loosely two years old; therefore a new one. Basically I am not a friend of motor tuning and rather leave everything org. The BSR history interests me nevertheless. What about it? In theory, one could buy a doughnut with some people and (provided that the report is correct) have the clamot registered properly.     hello for the first time to all and beautiful sunny greetings from berlin so I’ve been driving a Volvo S80 with auto,atik gearbox Bj-2002 and 75 tkm otherwise tip top for a week I noticed something that when I start the engine and drive it just before it in the 2 course jump or shortly before 2000 turn around then makes a short KRRRRTTTTTRRR but without shaking or rattling it then drives quite normally and at the traffic light it is then no longer to hear, as said only when I turn off the engine and start again and then drive again shortly before it jumps in the 2 course make it this ruffled any signal lights glows nciht and other macken it also does not !! so please around some advice and tips what I can do the right to the Volvo I don’t want to thank me and hope you all a good ride mfgg

Now my question to the forum: Does anyone have experience with the entry to Russia? I have already been able to find out about the ADAC, which a liability insurance must be completed at the border (about 20 EUR for 15 days). The one ADAC office in Munich says that this is, next to the D sticker, everything. But another department mentioned a customs declaration that I have to have stamped on the entry to Russia to get my elk out of Russia again. Hope despite this strange question on help from the forum. And no I am not lightly but looking for something different and original vacation. So I was e.g. in 2006 by car 1 week in Albania and met new extremely guest friendly people every day.   • Quality problems with the Volvo V 70 II?

    Hello Volvo friends! After about 8 years with my V70 I (EZ 12/98) 140 hp diesel was quite satisfied, I got a V70 II D5 AWD with EZ 03/06 and almost 40,000 km of mileage in September 07. The car is basically really great, but annoying things that I didn’t know so far from Volvo: crackling and knarling from the area of the dashboard and the doors, ripple noises that probably come from the mounting of the driver’s seat and other unnecessary but unnecessary noises that significantly reduce the quality of the vehicle. The chassis is also quite hard tuned, that may also play a role, but of course can’t hold up as an excuse. The car still has a guarantee and I hope that these things can be eliminated, but it does somewhat cloud the good mood and satisfaction with the vehicle.
