Hello! After some comparison rides with other XC70 / V70 and S60 models I notice that my own XC70 D5, 2005, 136 kW in the interior is very loud, roars like a leaky exhaust (but that’s definitely fine), the acceleration (11 sec and more to 100, problems with overtaking in the range around 100-120 kmh..) not intoxicating, very long starting time, until 2000 rpm it lasts miserable long, then finally comes the “Schub”, but soon after that is gone and from 3000 rpm only ends in volume, and not least an enormous consumption of not under 8.5 liters diesel on motorway rides, in normal day use was the peak value 10.0 liters on 100 km (!). S60 and V70 drivers (all with the 185 hp D5er), who have made a test ride with my car, were each of the opinion that “there would be something not fit”. Hello dear Volvo municipality, I have had a V70 2.4 Comfort since 09/08 and am super satisfied. Can you tell me where I can buy inexpensive spare parts (backpane wiper complete with arm) and other spare parts?. I was in a wash in Marl at the Zechenstr., where my rear windscreen wiper was damaged. When I noticed this damage the next day I drove there immediately. The managing director told me that the damage did not occur with Him, but obviously someone was stolen the wiper but replaced it with a new one. Hello, yesterday was with my friend regarding winter tyres for my new used XC70. The car currently has all-year tires on the rims and my friend thinks that the car would drive with these best. Since I learned then that one should have winter tyres and in summer summer tyres on it, I am a bit confused. Hello everyone! For three months I have had a V70 2.4T, MY 2001, Automatic, Premium and am completely satisfied. At the same time I read here in the forum and I am happy about the increase in knowledge and the nice contributions. Now I thought I could use the accumulated knowledge of the forum members: We want to next spring possibly with the elk from Berlin to Portugal, have 3 months time (parent time….) and want to make various stopovers with friends in D, F and ES, therefore the idea to drive with the elk. My question: What should I take with me (for the car)? The car is actually check booklet maintained, has new tires, the brakes incl. disks have to be made and I want to have them made before. Bin ADAC Plus member, because the starter has already gone out last month (and I stood with the automatic in Brandenburg….). A thousand thanks in advance for all tips and suggestions, the forum here really great (have already placed the “clapping” door panels quiet after instruction). Best greetings, Mark

Hello, my XC 90 is supposed to be exchanged and actually I had already said goodbye to Volvo inside because there is no successor. I actually didn’t want the current model, because I have it in principle (O.K., I don’t have the last facelift). Nevertheless, the XC 90 doesn’t let me go, because I think it’s an ideal concept. I would only like to have the whole thing at a newer level. Maybe the price can motivate me to say yes again to the XC 90 (possibly I tend to the MB GL 320, but it’s already very expensive……). Has someone bought an XC 90 lately and if yes, what a drop on the list is given? O.K. the question is not gladly seen (…but go to the dealer himself … etc.), but I have no chance to come to the usual opening hours to the dealer. The money wants to be earned in order to be able to buy such a car. Also, I don’t want to wait forever for the last price (it takes about 2 – 3 visits to the dealer) but I don’t want to buy the last 5 years.

N’Evening on all sides, I have been driving a V70 II D5 AWD for years and have been happy with 230000 self-propelled Kilmometers since now. Overall, he has now nearly 260000km down. For a few days I have been getting the error message “Motor system maintenance required” with a yellow triangle in the BC. There are also days when it does not occur. Now I was at the workshop of my trust (not a Volvo representative, but a free one) and we looked into the error memory once. In the engine control the errors 6661 and 6588 are stored. (The computer of the workshop says to both “unknown errors”, both can not be deleted). After inquiries from Mr. Google is probably 6661 the glow plug of the first cylinder – so actually nothing dramatic, I will let it happen on occasion. But to the code 6588 there is simply nothing to be found…. Can someone bring light into the dark here?

Hello together, after our Dicker (D5) has moved in with us on Nikolaustag, we have reached the first 1000 km in the last days. Below in short form my (our) previous experiences: + Relaxed driving + Pleasant engine noise, likable grumble + Good all-round view + Very good space + Very good light + RTI navigation + Engine power and power development good + Consumption on distance 8.2 l + Haptik – turning circle in need of getting used to – USB port does not work (yet) with USB stick Overall we can give our XC90 a very good testimony and are happy about the purchase.
