  • Who currently bought an XC 90 ? Not in leasing !

    Hello, my XC 90 is supposed to be exchanged and actually I had already said goodbye to Volvo inside because there is no successor. I actually didn’t want the current model, because I have it in principle (O.K., I don’t have the last facelift). Nevertheless, the XC 90 doesn’t let me go, because I think it’s an ideal concept. I would only like to have the whole thing at a newer level. Maybe the price can motivate me to say yes again to the XC 90 (possibly I tend to the MB GL 320, but it’s already very expensive……). Has someone bought an XC 90 lately and if yes, what a drop on the list is given? O.K. the question is not gladly seen (…but go to the dealer himself … etc.), but I have no chance to come to the usual opening hours to the dealer. The money wants to be earned in order to be able to buy such a car. Also, I don’t want to wait forever for the last price (it takes about 2 – 3 visits to the dealer) but I don’t want to buy the last 5 years.

  • D5: error codes 6661 and 6588

    N’Evening on all sides, I have been driving a V70 II D5 AWD for years and have been happy with 230000 self-propelled Kilmometers since now. Overall, he has now nearly 260000km down. For a few days I have been getting the error message “Motor system maintenance required” with a yellow triangle in the BC. There are also days when it does not occur. Now I was at the workshop of my trust (not a Volvo representative, but a free one) and we looked into the error memory once. In the engine control the errors 6661 and 6588 are stored. (The computer of the workshop says to both “unknown errors”, both can not be deleted). After inquiries from Mr. Google is probably 6661 the glow plug of the first cylinder – so actually nothing dramatic, I will let it happen on occasion. But to the code 6588 there is simply nothing to be found…. Can someone bring light into the dark here?

    Hello together, after our Dicker (D5) has moved in with us on Nikolaustag, we have reached the first 1000 km in the last days. Below in short form my (our) previous experiences: + Relaxed driving + Pleasant engine noise, likable grumble + Good all-round view + Very good space + Very good light + RTI navigation + Engine power and power development good + Consumption on distance 8.2 l + Haptik – turning circle in need of getting used to – USB port does not work (yet) with USB stick Overall we can give our XC90 a very good testimony and are happy about the purchase.   • XC90: no soot filter, but…

  • Rti crash of the system

    I have been driving a new V70 since 2.06. Before that I had the same model. Since 2004 the RTI system has been crashing again and again. I have discussed this with my Volvo repair shop more often. Since I am very dissatisfied, I wanted to change my car. Despite multiple emails to Volvo Germany and a visit to Mr. Storchmeier nothing happened. I conducted the last conversation with Mr. Althoff who assured me that this is on a cable and the power supply is exhausted. Also this turned out to be not true. For 1.5 years my Volvo workshop and I , this is due to the software and especially to the TMC. This is also how Mr. Althoff confirmed to me. Thanks to Volvo for 1.5 years of stress in which I drove 90000km. In the 48 KW comes a new DVD to the market, which I should get to fix the problems. Hopefully! I can only advise anyone to get this DVD on warranty claims, since the old versions (from 2004) can show me this behavior of the RTI.

    Hello ! I sent an e-mail to MR Schweden Sport last week, wanted to have some data and prices for the PPC tuning on the D 5 ( 163 HP). Yesterday then the answer : “Thank you for your email and your interest in our tuning program. We would like to send you the desired information. By PPC tuning we can tune the performance of your XC70 either on 197PS/470Nm or 220PS/479Nm. Your price per package incl. sport air filter is 1,350,- Euro respectively 1,450,- Euro incl. VAT.” why do they give such a high torque to ?? and then also 220 HP ?? At FirtsClass in Lübeck are called “only” 197 hp and 400 Nm !!! has someone already received this from MR ?? I myself ordered the PPC yesterday at FirstClass, should be there next week. Let’s see if it has been worth it 🙂 Cheüß Andre

  • Quitschgeräsch while steering in the interior

    My moose has recently been making such funny squeaking noises while driving. Quitting comes from the interior, from the area between the steering wheel and the disguise behind it. It sounds like rubber would “rub” each other. However, it is not always. Quitting occurs, if at all, only in case of a larger steering impact, e.g. parking, etc… I have already tried to become master by height and longitudinal adjustment of the thing. But it did not help anything. Is there a possibility by “lubricating” to fix the thing quickly and easily. And if so, how would you deal with the “problem”?
