Hi guys! How reliable are the 5-cylinder 2.4s? I’m thinking if I’d want to have one like that.

Wear braking system Volvo V70
Hello, I would like to buy a Volvo V70. By the way, 2001 2.4T automatic. During the test drive, I noticed a little bit of braking. In my 12-year-old BMW, nothing vibrates when braking, so I was eroded and actually of the opinion that the brakes would make me clean to sell the car. Is there nothing in my eyes to sell a used car with proper brakes. Today morning the workshop master calls me and tells me that the brakes still hold 60tkm and that a vibration would be normal. I would have liked to have hung up but I actually want to have the car – but not to change the brakes in 3 months… I am with him so that he tells me of all the disks and bolts the actual dimensions of the thickness as well as the new values and the wear limits and also measured on the car. In order to be able to say that I have a long time to believe this.

Damn lightning !!!
Hello, I was flashed out of town today….I think at least…! Can a flash measure two-lane? I was on the two-lane lane on the left lane. On the right side of me (half a vehicle length in front of me) a smaller truck drove. So I was about to pass it. I see the red flash of a mounted camera just before the truck on the right edge of the road. Did they mean me, or the truck? 70. I had so close to 100 on it and the smaller truck so 85 would I say. That would be 1-3 points and good 100 euros for me…! Flashes these things over 2 lanes? I was almost in the half shadow of the truck!

Consumption V70 170PS
Hi people! And I want to know from you what you consume with your V70 with 170hp and switching. In pure city traffic of course. My Schwegerin is now driving for almost 3k km with 9.8l. Since this is however in the V50 forum a little “pragitive”, because the V50 1.8 with 125hp is already indicated with 9,xxl and that the heavier V70 can not underbid, I want to know your experiences. Can soon also attach a picture. mfg chris

to despair: S60 & stroller
Hello, I am with the small boot opening at the forfeiture. May I ask the family fathers and mothers with S60 what they get for a stroller (combine car, i.e. prams with conversion possibility on sports cars) through this small hatch??? I have found up to now only one: turbo 4 of ABC design. With this you can fold the rack fully and also take away the attachment completely, the wheels anyway. So it is really small and should fit also in the Nissan Micra K12. However, the strollers of ABC design do not exactly correspond to my ideas of quality. If you read through the opinions at www.ciao.com you get the horror knows even another stroller that fits in the S60?? The consultation in the so-called specialized trade can be forgotten smoothly, that also affects the children’s seats. If you don’t read in and try it yourself you are opened up Ciao, Eric, who doesn’t want to buy a V70 because of that!!!

Should I buy an XC90?
Dear Forum Fellows, my question may seem a little strange, but it is serious to me: It is about deciding whether I should buy a new car this year or next year. My current FZ, V70, full equipment, EZ 04/2004, now has 165Tkm on the counter, next year I will definitely exceed the 200Tkm limit. The vehicle is paid off. I am very satisfied with the car, it drives well, reliable and comfortable, also for the family (2 children, 1 dog) is enough space, so no objective reason to change. After some emotional moments (new car is always great, and I find the XC90 also great!) I come to the sober realization that another car does not offer me any real added value either, so only the question arises whether an economic disadvantage arises due to the fact that I still wait with the replacement purchase. Factors that for a new purchase (or a new car order, it should be a new car by the way) are still in 2007, as well as to a possible high discount for the first part of the quota, not used for the next part of the price, but for the next part of the price.

Purchase advice S60 D5 185PS
Hello, since the search has not been cleverly puffed out I create a new topic. since I am not satisfied with my BMW I plan a car change for next summer. To choose from the new C-Class 220CDI and the S60D5. I would be interested in how the engine is with 185hp? Consumption, durability, stacking…? And since it is a five-cylinder whether it is noisy? How is it processed in the interior? Are there also bie S60 flapping noises in the interior? Is it noisy on the AB? How are the automatic transmissions at Volvo? Are they vulnerable? Do they last long? Or is it more likely to recommend a manual transmission? Also because of reselling! What is the difference between an automatic and Geartronic? Was there, and if, when a FaceLift at the S60? What was everything changed? My first post in the Volvo forum and immediately 1000 questions Thank you for the answers Alex

XC90 (5D) for multi- and long-distance drivers? What are the experiences
Hi all, I’m about to order an XC90 and I’m looking for experience reports from many and long-distance drivers. I’m thinking of the 5D as a 7-seater with automatic. For this purpose I always had Audi, BMW and Mercedes as association, not necessarily VOLVO. But I’ve recently received positive reports – especially about the diesel engine. How are the experiences? Greeting slummy
