I think about it to my companion, who has already been on the hump for a good 15 years to treat a beautification of the varnish. He is otherwise good in shot and he should stay in the family for a few more years. Since I am not the learned painter, I play with the idea of doing this in connection with two or three holiday days abroad. Does any of you have experiences with this (e.g. in Poland) and can possibly even provide me with contact details?

XC90 – RPM in stationary gas at 1500 rpm, air conditioning, cruise control and cigarette lighter fail
Here’s a difficult problem, to which my Volvo workshop knows no answer: I drive an XC90 D5 (163 hp) Diesel Automatik BJ 2010, 197,000km, stitch-heeled at Volvo. Recently the following occurs: 1. The car has a standing 1500 revolutions and pulls like stupid (even when driving backwards). 2. If it stops a little longer, e.g. at the traffic lights, the speed drops slowly to approx. 750 revolutions. When starting the car, the speed starts again to 1500 rpm and the car pulls independently This is also the case with the “rolling out”, because the speed does not drop below 1500 rpm and the car can only be stopped under massive use of the brake. That’s super dangerous!!! 3. At the same time cigarette lighters, air conditioning and cruise control are permanently out. 4. The relevant fuse has been replaced, but it is broken again and again. This occurred already in the summer and my Volvo workshop read the error memory a I was replaced with the capacitor/compressor for a lot of money and the problem seemed to be fixed. But now the whole thing started again and the error message said that it had to do with the electronics on the accelerator. The workshop fixed this again and everything seemed good. After about 1 month the same shit again… . So back to the workshop and the same again. Then I drove from the yard of the Volvo workshop and already when turning into the road the turn speeded up. ahl again to 15,000 rpm high and everything was again as usual (air conditioning, cruise control, cigarette lighter failed). Then I left the car at the workshop. They drove test, checked everything through and see… the thick Swede purred like a kitten and everything was ok, as if nothing had ever been. You couldn’t notice anything! Now I drove again for a month, everything ok. Then, yesterday, I slowly hit a traffic light again and the speed is snowing The car is back up to 1500 rpm and the car almost shoots over the crossing. And again cruise control, cigarette lighter and air conditioning failed… The car is otherwise in impeccable condition and I want to drive it for a long time. I know enough people with considerably older Volvos and well over 300,000 km of mileage… So does anyone have a tip on what this could all be?! And yes – I do not have the floor mat on the accelerator!!!

Camshaft adjuster prevents engine start?
Hello Volvo screwdriver, I need your advice or help: Volvo S60, 2,4l, 140hp, 5 cylinders, suction cup (no turbo), 2003, approx. 190,000 km. Read out the error memory returned: 640A. Can a faulty camshaft adjustment on the inlet side prevent the engine start? Do you have any experience in this regard? Thank you for the support in advance! Best regards Klaus

Marder destroys insulation material – replacement?
After several marten bites at my former car (BMW) I was already happy: 6 months of rest at the new Volvo – too early, as it turned out with a recent look into the engine compartment: the cattle behind the engine have pulled out the entire insulation material to the passenger compartment. Repair and full replacement costs the workshop a day work. And only gives the marten something to do again. Therefore: someone knows a useful method, with non-volvo- Is it possible to restore the insulation safely? And does anyone have experience with the installation of rabbit grids under the engine compartment? I am pissed off at the cattle and want to deny them access once and for all. Remote battery change
Hello, I always used only one FB on my 2001er S60. Since we were on the road now, we also had the 2nd FB with and when it was needed, nothing moved! So I thought, the battery is empty and a new one is bought in the electronics shop and built in. – No success!! Before I assume that the new battery is not ok (should`s be!) buy one again, my question: Does there possibly have to be activated by the workshop because of the coding after battery change? Or is the battery (possibly also FB) defective? Holger

Problems XC 90
Hello dear XC90 friends, I’ve been driving my black D5 with Geartronic for 4 months now. The following problems have occurred so far. – On the driver side the door door door snorts (still because once “repairs” – if you call and stop the car also interrupts the telephone connection. – telephones during the journey are simply canceled. – I know from my old Audi a6 that you can open or close the windows with the key. Can the xc90 this also, is that just a software question? These are all kind of small things, but nevertheless you want everything to work. The limiter has to get out now!
Hello Elche…. After the meeting with the Westerwald I was still a leader who reached Tacho 219… Sundays after the meeting I drove home in the Volvo and my wife in the Mini… On the highway you started to push… And I drove away with a grin though my Swedes cruiser only worked from 100 KM/H before! After I quickly reached the limiter speed downhill, I was sure that I had now “rest” before “you”! But what comes from behind…..a mini… With a grinning face my wife drives past my elk, in the back my laughing daughter waved to me briefly, and drive up to the next climb ahead way! Sure there I had caught you again quickly…. So I find since Sunday the limiter has to be out!And a sixth gear should also be possible slowly!And all with particle filter and then hopefully 186 PS!!! As an appendix still a photo of the Minitacho:! Last said the highway absolutely no speed limit…

xc70d5 measured power 149PS
The xc70d5 (year 2004, 50T€) is already a great car, if not the d5 engine in there. As a changer of a passat TDI 130PS 6G. I am very disappointed by the power, torque and suit. After all, I manage to stay on the mountain at a 100PS Golf TDi grade so. Therefore, I had the car tested by an expert on an all-wheel test bench. Result: 149 hp and torque of 330Nm at a top at 2200U/min, then strongly sloping. So outside the specification. Volvo itself eats around. So where should you look for the error? How can you get an acceptable performance? Hilllffäääääääääääää……………………….so’n Mist! Oh by the way: Before the car contemplates gas, two sad seconds pass.

Info about FOUR-C
Hello together, in my current V70 AWD with level control, driving in laden condition is also a real pleasure with Caravan. Now the friendly one offered me an almost new XC70 AWD with FOUR-C chassis. According to the seller, an electronically controlled level control is included in the FOUR-C, which immediately compensates the level and not only after passing over some unevennesses as in the level mat. Just faster, more precisely, on all four wheels and simply better. The workshop manager could not give me any information about this and referred me to the sale. Can someone confirm or deny that I can find no more accurate information about Four-C and if I have bought the XC it is too late. Please answer and possibly indicate links with information better than the information set by VOLVO on the Internet.

moin, moin, I don’t know if the topic has already been discussed extensively. these two decorative plates under the xc90 (I think for the xc70 they are also available) made of plastic. I have now seen several sweden on the a7 gen norden with real eldestahl plates under them. looks really noble and stands the elch more than good. does someone know where to get something like this in Germany, so that it is also acceptable?
