  • View across the box: R-Class

    Wow, I’ve been looking for that for a long time, a station wagon that fits in. Looks like an inflated Astra Caravan, but hopefully Volvo gives the last push to bring a V90 based on the VCC. Also with V8 in the price list. CU BK

  • Strength of blower in climatronics?

    Or is it called climatics? So the automatic one where you can no longer adjust warm/cold, but the desired temperature to be felt. What interests me: you go, then a longer distance. The climate is always on “car”, AC can be either on or off. At which level does the blower run with you? And does the strength change frequently or is it always the same? The best would be information about temperatures like today (15-20 degrees) Rapace – which is still not happy with the thing

  • XC70 -> Everything you find cleaning up …

    … I have (as announced in another Fred – yes, I am neat 😉 just taken my XC70 apart (yes, I’m still there) – to clean up. I also cleaned the spare wheel chuck once and I came across all these parts … (left of the jack, clear. On the right the tool, also clear. But I hadn’t noticed the bag, because it is so far in the back. So unpack it)

  • I need your help with winter tires!

    I am looking for winter tyres for the XC90 of the brand “Pirelli Scorpion Ice&Snow” for 235/60R18. I want to have these tyres pulled onto my Atlantis rim. A dealer with whom I get company discount informed me that there are only 8 tyres of this brand/size in the whole federal territory and the price is 212,86€ incl. all works,costs (balances;Mwst). Since I have to decide at short notice I ask for your contributions how much you paid for the tires. To me the price seems too high? Thank you in advance. P.S. I know that you should drive at temperatures below +7 degrees winter tires what I also have with my company car. However, my wife would like to ski holidays with the XC90……

  • No more fiscal truck at the XC 90!?

    To all interested parties from Öziland! Today at noon it was whispered to me that the possibility of the Großelch to get past the Austrian NoVa (standard consumption tax; 12-14% depending on the type) is history. To this stage a relatively tight grid was fixed behind the second row of seats, which separates the passenger room from the “freight room” – ie: truck. Although a rather strange idea to make a truck that can not transport more bulky objects than the door width, but at the list prices are e.g. 14% already a lot of ash… The dear competitors have apparently got wind from this sales argument and after Volvo was still so daring to apply for the whole idea in newspaper ads, maybe Karlheinz also smelled Lunte and turned the thing off. Volvo will certainly appeal against the decision of the authorities, but for the time being I would advise to buy a truck – unless one passes the risk fully on the friendly, but they are warned and will not play along… After I have decided to give up this variant again – Richard will have decided concretely again for a diesel piece.

  • Pick up in Sweden?

    Hello, has one of you ever picked up his moose in Sweden?. Is it possible? My cheerful one didn’t think about it from Volvo Germany, unless you live in a distant country. (who wants that already!) How nice to fly to the factory in Sweden and get his new moose there, drive him in right away and look at the beautiful country. Greetings from Bavaria

  • Workshop test

    Hello once wanted to open a workshop thread. Because this with the workshops is such a problem. That’s why I wanted to ask you questions about how you have been working with your workshop of trust since. Could also others in forum help to find the right workshop for him. Since I drive around in the South German region (Munich) I have as a workshop the “Volvo Theis” in Munich, which operates 3 workshops. I let my elk in Riem wait. My result: The workshop is very free. Have always executed my warranty requirements. Have always had time for me. Elch is washed! And there is coffee for free! The sale (I don’t know what they want to sell, but definitely no cars). Have tried to buy a V8, but nobody wanted to sell me one!!!!!! There are still alternatives in the vicinity: Rosenhein, Baierbrunn etc. Even if you are on a trip and have a small problem, it is great if you find a workshop with which other Elche is satisfied. Many greetings from Südbayern. PS:Hoffe the Volvo will forgive me for years!

  • Maximum speed XC90 D5

    Hello together, I finally got my new D5-elk on the day of the holiday and was able to drive him on a trip to Fronkreisch right away… After a little more than 1000km I had it crash on the highway – what should I say: Lt. GPS (no, not the Volvo-Navi, GarminStreetPilot!) was the top speed 214 km/h. I meant, however, to have read here that the XC is electronically regulated at 195. Can anyone say anything about this?

  • Tool case and WHIPS

    Hi, my very much has given me today the manual of his XC90 demonstration car. And then I happen to hit the page about WHIPS and see that I have been driving my tool/installation case wrongly with me for years: behind the front seat – and there it blocks WHIPS! – Do you have suggestions for accommodation/securing in the trunk? – Does the XC90 actually have built-in belts (doesn’t believe)? – What is to hold from a net above the ground under which you push the case (does anyone have such a thing? from where?) – Or should I stay cross-crossed with my good old 2 rubber drops? I would be happy about your ideas and experiences! Greeting Jürgen actually happy that he is forced to put the thing in the trunk as he has always cut macks into the rear door panel with it.
