  • xc90 windshield torn

    Hello, during the last motorway ride (about 130 km/h) a small stone on the windshield must have hit in the middle of the area above the bond on the A-pillar on the side of the side of the road (have not noticed anything at all, neither seen nor heard). Initially, during the ride, as if out of nowhere, the disc slowly starts to tear from the right, crosswise to unhazardably into the middle. I thought I did not trust my eyes, since I did not trust the impact. After I had stopped totally shocked to calm down, I then saw that a lot of 1-2mm big impact was seen. Is the front window of the XC90 so under tension after the bonding so much that it is tearing away by such a small impact? My owner says it is clearly my fault, he could not do anything. If the impact were to happen in the middle of the disc, it would have remained completely, (which is purely physical to me). If someone has experience, if something like that has happened more often, there are already culling rules? How much does an exchange of the disc cost, what are the consequential problems (because of the rain sensor etc.) I am grateful for any opinion!

  • Black gear oil

    Hello! I just had to change the cooler of my S80 and of course also the oil of the transmission oil oil cooler came to me (automatic gearbox). This was quite black (the color, which also has the normal oil, when you make an oil change). Now I had to fill in some (0,5l) fresh automatic transmission oil (AW55-50), which I bought directly from Volvo. The color of the new oil is red. Now my question: I know that Volvo does not prescribe a transmission oil change, and I know that in the 850s series there have been massive problems with this regulation, but now there is no need for it. But should I still make a change? Or is the color (which is caused by suspended substances) irrelevant? What do you mean? Change: Yes or No? Thank you for the comments MedanoCC

  • XC90 D5 2009 Momentum vs. Summum

    Good morning forum, yesterday evening my has made me an almost immoral offer. A new XC90 D5 almost in 1-1immediate leasing exchange to my beloved XC70 D5. So replacement of the lease agreement 5 months before the end of the term. The Dickelch would be in momentum equipment with automatic, dark disks, Xenon, Opa-Radar and RTI. Unfortunately without a phone, but as 7 seaters. Color Uni-Black – Leather Anthracite. Now the thing with the fixed installation is not a huge issue, if there is a clever BT plant. My question should I take instead Momentum 7 seater better a summum 5 seater? Family and professional this would also be full enough, the story with the 7-seats is just a nice gimmick, Zg at children’s birthdays. Is there at XC90 actually 4-c and there is the telfon in the summum equipment included? I have seen nothing in the configurator. The question is what the summum large from the o. I am grateful for your equipment.

    Hello Volvo friends. did any of you have similar bad experience with his V70 as I did? Drive a D5 black edition, geartronic since April 04. As a frequent driver until the first inspection was 20,000 km at the beginning of June, everything was ok. but since the… a total of 6 workshop stays, three times defective injectors of the comonrail system, a completely defective battery… Let’s see how this goes on… How Volvo does I not know yet, one is testing and researching. However, the Voco dealer in Straubing shows himself extremely cooperative!   • Liquid Glass toiletries

    Hello everyone! I enjoyed the entire care case of Liquid Glass and last weeks my V70II Bj00 with it: Procedure: First hand wash with vinegar cleaner (was the day before during driving safety training and there was very calcareous water). Then hand wash with LG washing concentrate (brake dust also dissociated easily from the Alamthea 17″ A cleaning with the pre-cleaner and then sealing. Plastic parts all cleaned with LG plastic soap cleaner (with toothbrush and hand brush) and then let in with the care agent. Except for a few deeper aprons the car really looked like new.     Yesterday my elk XC90 2.5 T arrived at the friendly one. Then I went immediately to look at him and touch him. Gigantic just beautiful !!!!!! Unfortunately I have to wait until next week Thursday, because some modifications like 20″ rims and Heico Tuning are made. Can’t wait. Before that already a picture. My youngest son Leonhard who suffered during the entire waiting time with me. We see he is happy. But first I look, which is still upable until Thursday. On Friday next week I drive to Munich and have the opportunity to drive in the elk and collect first impressions. Then report about it. Unfortunately, the painting “Lavasand-Metallick” on the photo does not come over so well, but looks just good in Natura. Greeting, kallirolo I don’t know why this doesn’t work here.     in the absence of the search function again a constant recurring question: after the last inspection I heard a slight pollen. thought first, they did not really tighten the replacement wheel. or left something in the back. but nothing there. it sounds like if you want to wash the fridge from the corner alone. this funny noise, which then makes this stuff with the cool fluidity. only a little quieter and duller. is especially to hear with slight floor waves, which do not cause a stiffened roll-off noise. now the question: what is this??? original question, I know. … and immediately comes back with the *pssst* ge’s and so. quite funny however, I don’t find that very good. so somehow not? any ‘ne idea? oh so. for all those who do not know it (more): v70 d5 automatic my02. thank you.

  • The first day…

    Yesterday evening it was time to pick up my XC90. By the way, it is a D5 summum 5 seater in titanium grey with Geartronic, leather anthracite and besides MD player quite completely equipped. After two years X5 d the first 650 km were already somewhat unfamiliar today, but by the way not bad I didn’t expect the Volvo to make a clearly modern impression. My last Volvo experiences are already 5 (V70 TDI), 7 (855 T5) and 21 (142 deluxe) years back. With the exception of the well-known TMC problem in D (in A and CH it worked perfectly) he also makes unchiped (at least) mood. Well with the climate I don’t really get clear yet, but after a day and without a final manual study no wonder. What bothers me, however, that either in the area of the front disc or the sliding roof has had to do something like that from 130 km/h on, Robert has already had to do something like that from the best of greetings?

  • SH from Venlo is crazy?

    Hello everyone! As announced in some other Threat, I was in Venlo on Monday and had the SH of my D5 “refitting” there. By the way, it worked great. The friendly Dutchman did not have my desired appointment ready by fax, but nevertheless my D5 came right into the workshop and a coffee incl. a nice chat with the German-speaking friend there was free of charge. All in all very recommendable. Must my previous opinion about heaters revise: horny thing the Since yesterday however seems to occur a problem with the control software. Give in on the evening my desired departure time (at night e.g. 8:30) and the next morning the SH also runs at 8:40. Even if I then start the engine, it does not go out. I then have to manually place the SH via the BC. Does anyone have a plan that could hide behind it?   • More consumption by Super+ ?

    Hi, I recently had the fun of testing the maximum range with a tank filling. Extremely economical driving, no short distances, no high motorway speed. Result was 960km and a consumption of 7.2l after BC (7.26l after tank receipt). I had super95. With the Ergeiz, once to crack the 1000km I then filled the V-Power, in the hope to push the consumption still around the missing 0.2l. That the lower consumption does not weigh up the extra price, was already clear to me, but since the engine is actually designed for Super+, I thought it should bring it a little bit. However, after the first 200km the BC already showed an average, which was 0.5l above that of the previous tank filling. Can this be that the engine with Super+ consumes more? Ride otherwise for 9 months only super. The only other explanation, would be the colder weather, i.e. the engine gets warm later, the air pressure goes down perhaps by 0.05bar. But then the air speed has to do the same, but then the radio has to do the same thing.
