  • Oil consumption for Bifuel, among others

Hello! Ride a V70 Bifuel CNG, 2003 Bj. Used the car with approx. 120 000 km and now already exceeded the 150 000 mark. Runs perfectly. However, about 1 times a month the engine control light lights up – always at warm start! disappears after some start operations again. Have read out errors: Ignition breakers First you have replaced ignition coil. At last service they informed me that it was probably on the fuel filter. Unfortunately was not so, because about 5 weeks after service the lamp was back again. Has maybe someone know what that could be. Need on 10000 km good 2 liter engine oil. At 140000 km service was filled fully synth. 5 W 40. Consumption has not really changed however. Is such a consumption for my elk (CNG) normal or I have to worry about. For helpful things I am grateful, KLV70 Bifuel

  • Questions from a V70II newcomer

Hello everyone, I took over a V70 bought used by the dealer a few days ago. I bought the two days after he had come to the dealer’s yard. The car has about 25 extras and there are some that had probably escaped the dealer. Anyway, he mentioned it nochzt. Well, the other way around it would be worse. Question: How can one determine whether the car has an aut. Level control? Except the car fully loaded naturally. Next: My wife (162 cm) claims she doesn’t look good because the driver’s seat would not be set high enough (electrically). Let’s do something wrong. Normally she doesn’t need a seat cushion when driving a car. As far as Achim is concerned for the first time

  • V8 – It’s ordered!

Just the order is out: V8 Summum rubinrot – Finally stop thinking about the rum There would be a question for the already XC90 drivers: I am looking for a good fixed installation FSE (for my P900, with radiomuting and external antenna). What experiences did you have? Which FSE can you recommend? I decided against the overpriced built-in phone… Greetings from day 1 of the waiting time crosselk

  • Consumption D5 very high

Hello Volvo driver I would be interested in your consumption on shorter routes, so no tank filling with motorway.Drive mostly on the day about 18km to work, of which 50% are rural road and 50% city(no stop and go or Kavaliestart). My D5 is now 1 year old and started with 8,4l on 100km.Today with a consumption of good min.9.3L on the same route. Thus, every two months increased by 0.2l. Even with motorway ride of 500km (120km/h cozy) and 300km above described track still at least 8,2L consumption.Bein meine erwesen Dieselfahrzeuge (were not Volvo) always driven at the below stated consumption limit. My friend is at a loss and changed the AGR,was in error memory, but did not bring anything.Has someone similar experiences. mfg Werner

  • Cracking V70 seats, is there any remedy?

Tach people, so mine also does it, the seat I mean. When accelerating there is something clacking in the mechanics. While trying out in the stand, I found out that it is not the pre-back mechanism, but the high-down mechanism. After some time this is annoying. Since I have not followed this topic of various Freds here so far (because it did not concern me yet ) and the search function is currently switched off, now the question whether there is any remedy? Thank you and greetings

  • DSTC intervention during cornering

Hello together, for 2 days I noticed with my 2004 V70 sometimes during tighter curves a short DSTC intervention without that there would be a reason for it. The indicator light in the instrument cluster lights up briefly and the engine power is reduced. The first time it had occurred on Tuesday on the highway at 130 km/h and rain-wet road. Had there been too much water pushed on the road. After that it appeared again on dry road in a 30 zone. Today then also again on the access to the company car park. Candidates would be ABS sensor rings and the steering angle sensor?

  • Geared oil cooler not for my D5?!?

Hello, short question; I was recently at the 🙂 to buy my XC90’s oil cooler. Since I have to move heavy equipment more often I have already retrofitted an SK trailer coupling with 3to trailer load. Then I had problems; “gear maintenance required” appeared in the display – after some research I found out that all XC90 with AHK need a transmission oil cooler. So from the 🙂 and cooler picked out and ordered / agreed to an appointment. To the appointment moved up – two days later came the call “Auto finished – but did not make anything!” I then at least still changed the transmission oil (was actually made from the beginning!), whereby my wish for a flushing was dropped afterwards – that would cost at least a hundred more!!! (300.- then the change – including oil) with it was explained that for my D5 MY2007 with automatic transmissions there was no transmission oil cooler. We had together on the computer a bit (it would not get a connection from the drive frame) but I would like to know that there is no need for a hydraulic adapter!

  • Is the gear oil still okay?

Hello, I’ve been a proud owner of a Volvo V70, D5 185hp with Geartronic TF-80SC(6-Gang), ez 07/2007 for some time. The car ran only 95,000 km. Driven this mileage from the first registration until mid-2010. After that, the Volvo stood until mid-2014 and was not moved. So 4 years of service. I have changed all liquids so far, except for the transmission oil. This is according to Volvo change-free. But because the car stood so long and I do not know how it was driven before, I would like to do the change. I left a little oil to judge the condition yesterday. On the picture on the left is the drive oil from the Volvo. On the picture on the right is the new Dexron III (Attention: does not fit for this transmission. Here only to compare the color). How do you find the color? Should I change the whole oil (about 8L)? Is not enough in this case also a partial oil change (about 4L) and then in 30 to 60 km again? Would you take a mannol/Ravenol or expensive Castrol?

  • GSM phone suddenly no reception

Hello, until yesterday the integrated phone in my V70 (Bj 10/2001, MY 2002) has always worked (well, sometimes a bit quiet, but otherwise OK). Now it has no reception any more. That means you can turn it on, it recognizes the SIM card, you can operate the menus etc. But with the reception symbol, always zero bars are displayed (normally so 2..4) and there is no net. At the location and on the network (T-Mobile Austria) it is not located, it has tried several times in different places, and everywhere my other phone has received impeccable. For me this looks like if the antenna cable is interrupted. Maybe only one plug has loosened up… Does anyone know the effect? Or knows where the antenna cable runs and is plugged? Then I could try it myself before I drive cumbersomely to the “friendly”… – thanks & warm greetings, Helmut
