  • S60 2.4T causes electrical problems ECM-8410 5V power supply

Hello guys I bought a S60 2.4T with 200 HP last week. Model 2001 230,000 ran. Lots of new parts fresh HU, inside leather like new, everything looked very good! Unfortunately the problems accumulate. I have stayed 2 times. Once with probably teach tank, although the tank indicator has still 130km left. after 5 liter spare canister he ran immediately again. The other time on the highway he takes no more gas and dies off. I could still roll until the exit. He i The previous owner has already renewed the fuel pump and the level indicator. Possibly the wrong component. Reading results in unplausible signal voltage too high. Temperature indicator in the AI fails spontaneously and then comes back slowly, but shows too little. The main problem is probably the error in the engine control unit ECM-841 0 5V power supply. If I ask this question, it only shows 2.9 to 3.1 volts. can all this be due to the instrument cluster? I also had the famous SRS Airbag maintenance error. it just arrived shortly before the test drive according to the seller. The lag however probably because one of the 6 previous owners installed another radio and had not disconnected the battery. my Icarsoft i906 told me belt lock passenger side. I then found in the trunk under the spare wheel 2 belt locks, s o much too straight came the error message. well I could delete the error and it has now been gone for 4 days. The biggest construction site is the 5V voltage problem. Does anyone have an idea for me?? Lg from Kassel Franky

  • Vida Dice surroundings LL

Values Volvo-Gmeinde, I’m crazy about 2 things, on the one hand, that I can’t get my Vida Dice to read out (installation Vida works, Dice is recognized including “communication test ok”) but VIN or error reading doesn’t work. And that I don’t get behind the cause of the error ECM-8410 (the ECM itself is definitely not). Therefore my question / Please: does someone in the vicinity LL (Landsberg am Lech) have a working Vida to test my Dice on the one hand (possibly is j a defective) and, on the other hand, to read out my mistakes in my V70. Of course against an “indemnity compensation”. My Volvo is in emergency run due to the error ECM-8410, but I can drive Landsberg in a radius of about 30 km to find a suitable meeting point. What if someone in the area would be ready for a “Volvo + Vida meeting”?

  • Handbrake pulls unevenly

Hello, again I have to turn to you. I doubt at the moment with my hand brake. Short history. I just had my “Pickerl” check done. Heavy lack of the hand brake since left side 0 brake force. At the pickerl in front the left side pulled also weaker but was in the frame. Everything disassembled and saw that the springs, which hold the hand brake cheeks, were hung out on the left. I then have on both sides new hand brake cheeks , springs and the standard n After that, I had to tighten it a lot. Now to the problem. The left side pulls again, however, even with a relaxed hand-breeze. On the right, it works well. What can this be about? Do you think about the ropes? How do broken ropes make themselves felt? My mechanic was there by chance and gave me b have also looked whether the rope pulls or tightens. He saw how it moves at the brake. Another idea would be that the spray plates are bent, by hanging out the spring? Thus, possibly the springs do not sit well and the brake cheeks sit too far outside? Just such a thought… Or do you think it fits all like this and I try to put the hand brake on the wheel again looser on the left. So set unevenly and try to attract them. Maybe someone has an idea and can give me a few tips Thank you anyway!! To illustrate I have attached a video. Stand now the brakes. Also from the handbrake lever since the apparently light pretension has? Sorry the long text and thanks! • Volvo V70 II 2002 CEM defective

Hello, I have the following problem with my Volvo V70 year 2002: the driving light, both dipped beam and main beam, no longer works. Relay switches, fuses are ok. There are no other failures, otherwise the vehicle runs perfectly with all functions. It is not possible to drive in the dark or in poor visibility. According to the workshop, the CEM no longer directs electricity to the light relay. The CEM should be changed: Costs complete with installation € 1.400.–. A used CEM is not possible because the data contained in the dispenser vehicle cannot be deleted from the Volvo. If someone has a tip on what I can do, I’m not an electronics expert myself.

  • Protective strips / plastic parts

Hello Volvo fans, I’m new here and say HALLO! In our private car family a s60 D5 from 2002 has found itself. Since it is still one of the specimens with unpainted bumpers and unpainted bumpers, the wax polish is rather a goal tour, because the wax on the plastic parts always leaves behind residue. I plan to bring the whole parts to the paintr, including side skirts. Has any of you done the dismantling before? What must i P.S. Since the Navi is unupdated, (from 2002) Where do I get the most up-to-date software from cheaply?

  • Recommended purchase XC90 or Sprinter?

Hi, we are currently driving an Audi A4 B5 Avant, BJ ~98. We are thinking about getting a new car. It should definitely offer more space and consume less, also the CO2 emissions should be lower (not for environmental reasons, purely for cost reasons). We had a Mercedes Sprinter and a Volvo XC90 in sight. The Sprinter because it is very large, and the Volvo because it looks good, offers a lot of space and probably does not lie so often. My dad needs a bigger car to Mu In addition, he would like to save himself the hotel costs if he appears in another city and sleep in the car (however, the equipment also has to be with him) Well my question, what would you recommend? So, the repair costs should be low, and the workshop stays should not exceed 2x per year (as with the Audi) Of the costs, we wanted a Volvo for such a max. 13.000. At the Sprinter you just have to look. The Volvo can be completely transformed into a loading area except for the driver’s seat, can you sleep in it (with an isomat or similar)? Are the spare parts for the Volvo more expensive than for the Benz? And are both more expensive than Audi? How about the insurance? So we live in the big city, but hardly drive here. My dad commutes between here and Bavaria (berlin-bayern) So a sprinter is actually not really a city driver. o thought or? And that’s exactly how the consumption reacts… With the Sprinter only the smallest would be possible anyway, with windows at the rear best, with the Volvo the 2.4 D5 Kinetic. mfg Toast

  • Opinions on the new R-Class

Last week I drove next to an R-class. On pictures I found the thing not bad, but on party Wildbahn… The thing is sch*** high. At least like a sharan and much fatter. Instead of a combo or combi cut they have built a mini van. For USA this should fit to some extent (for that he was also built) but here? This is not an ascent model for an e-class T-model driver, as hoped. I also think the rear is for Europ a nix. Looks like a fat brother of the a-class and people who spend a lot more money usually want a car that looks different in .de. You should have chosen a slightly different design. The headlights that I first found ok also look very small in natura (the term pig’s eye I don’t know) What do you think the R-Class is an alternative to the Nuen V70/90 (if it comes)? Or a US car that becomes an exotic in .de? Rapace

  • With XC90 two weeks through Sweden

Hello together ! We were now two weeks with our XC90 in Sweden. First a week on Öland and then in Götheborg on home vacation for my wife. The XC90 is like made for the Swedish country road. Cruise pure and cruising ! Remarkable the many XC90 in Sweden. Every day we have seen up to fifteen, whereby the Swedes drive much more in green, red and white. Black and silver are there something back. Incidentally: The parking XC90 I have a closer a The Atlantis rim is very rare, the rear parking aid does not need a Swede (and I am so early about it and would like to have it at the front). To all those waiting: In the second week we had a wonderful view of the harbour facilities on Hissingen and every day the “mountain” of the XC90 ready for shipment grew under white foil. Then came again a ship and swops were all gone. Maybe there was one for you. I will get protest again, but how pleasant it was to drive in DK and SE with speed limit ! Especially during the return trip we noticed that in Puttgarden the switches of the drivers are unmolded and then pushed and driven aggressively ! The on-board computer by the way in DE an average speed of 115 km/h the hour indicated, although we tried to drive quickly with dense traffic (without traffic jam).
