Hi! Short anecdote: to finally get rid of my JEEP Grand Cherokee (stands for 8 weeks and eats money) I wanted to give him in payment. And because I’ve been a fan of the VOLVO since my XC90, I wanted to buy a new V50 2.0 D for my son, at the friendly one in Berlin. He knew that the Jeep was a prerequisite for the deal. He left my Filius the V50 for a test drive of several hours, which of course was very enthusiastic! The new car was as good as ordered! The VOLVO-man says that a payment of the JEEP would not be possible, not even for 22 TEUs (originally intended 26.5 TEU!). The car is currently “unsaleable”…Sprit prices etc… Too bad, I thought and drove the same day to my BMW dealer. He had the JEEP checked, calculated 30 minutes back and forth and now we have ordered a new 318i Touring EXCLUSIVE with frills (leather, sport, xenon etc). Color and equipment of his choice, delivery 3-4 weeks (Junior is happy!) and the JEEP they take for 25 TEU in payment!! VOLVO would have got it for 22 and I would have even accepted the delivery time (December 2004)! Too bad actually, right? Oh so: the leasing rate at BMW is even 30 euros cheaper than at the V50!! Hello In the comparison test two measured values are usually given for the cargo space: Minimun: i.e. to lower edge seat, i.e. cover roller maximum: i.e. with folded rear seats up to under the roof. For me, however, a specification is missing, which is certainly more practical also for other families: rear seats in normal position, disconnect hooked, loaded to under the roof. Hello, I suffered a gear damage after 330,000 km in my 2004 V70 with M56 manual transmission at the end of October. It started with short-term grinding noises that could not be localized. Then it came to short-term mechanical blocking when starting up. In the end, massive grinding and flapping noises suddenly occurred. I got an exchange gearbox from Sweden via bilgelsbasen.se. Running speed 220.000 km The offer in Sweden was significantly larger and cheaper than here in Germany. I also know the valuer and trust the information about the mileage. Last week it was replaced by a Volvo workshop. A worn two-mass swing wheel was detected and also replaced. The clutch was already renewed in 2018 (running capacity since about 60,000 km). The rear bearing was also renewed, as was the shaft sealing rings on the differential housing and the crankshaft sealing ring. Only a womping noise under following conditions occurs now: – only in thrust mode – speed window from 1800-1600 1/min – gears 3, 4 and 5 – Once clutch occurs it stops – When braking it remains unchanged I have then: – again mounted the summer wheels: no change – all engine bearings released again, motor moved and tightened again according to torque specification: no change – gear oil changed again (I wanted to do it again anyway). Greetings, I changed the oil in my automatic transmission this weekend. I expected red and brown oil after 207,000km. But what came out of it was rather deep black crude oil. The amount of suspended fuel was no longer measurable. I think 20,000km and there would have been only gel out. Remember, Volvo does not make an oil change in the life of a V70. Should you drive this car for about 10-14 years with the same oil??? So I think with every 2nd or 3rd engine oil The result of this hour’s work was slightly oily hands and a super soft and direct switching gear which would probably take part in another 207,000km. The oil cost a total of 35€. So, I will make a change soon, because then the dirt in the converter has also dissolved. The oil has had really visible small mud particles in it. The oil would z was still lubricating, but I think the wear would increase. I’m glad to have made it anyway and can only recommend it to all automatic drivers, for example it doesn’t cost much. A new transmission is more expensive…
