  • V70 Bifuel – Electrical problems

Hello Volvo fans….. I have a problem and have already searched and read myself, unfortunately not found the right one, so I turn to you. Problem description: had a strange problem a few days ago, when I wanted to open my moose, only the front doors opened and the rear ones remained locked. Vehicle jumps on without any problems and I noticed that my turn signals and the washing system at the front and at the back did not go. The turn signals are completely dead and the Abbl Finally which is switched off lights even if I turn it off. I had the error read out and there were several errors from the rear control unit. Now suddenly the lock and opening goes again, the turn signal and the washing system unfortunately not. would be happy if I got from you a couple of approaches, which cough my moose has so that he doesn’t give me wrong advice. Thank you Greeting

  • S80 MY2004: switch trunk opener defective

Hello dear community Since yesterday I can no longer open my trunk with the button on the flap It started with the fact that during the ride on the highway suddenly along with the yellow warning triangle came the message: trunk cover open. Stopped, trunk was actually open. So shut again, but when getting in the flap was already open again. So again (somewhat harder, normally not necessary at all) closed and continued driving. Now don’t shut up – only with the remote control. So the electric one still works. The micro switch must have said goodbye. I had unscrewed the rubber cover and operated the switch directly: it sounds quite right, clicks as usual, but no reaction. Must see if I get the whole time unscrewed on weekends… The switch looks very (!) integrated. Has someone changed the switch before, or do I actually have to have the whole Ha Is it possible that the electronics have excluded the switch themselves with a possible short circuit so that the flap remains closed…? Greeting Jakob 🙂

  • V70 II loses servo oil

Hello together, my V70 (240.000) on the clock wets for a long time on the hydraulic tank, both from the lid and on the container itself. Last week my wife drove the paths all the time. When I left Monday morning, I thought I didn’t hear right. Worst noises while steering. Stopped and followed my first suspicion, which confirmed itself. Servo tank almost empty. Replenished and everything was so chic. In the evening then I stopped and followed my first suspicion, which confirmed itself. Servo tank almost empty. see that I left numerous spots on the pavement in front of the door. 🙁 Will probably be servo oil. Today in the bright, after a little reading, I looked at the servo pump and found that the hose clamp (probably the inlet from the container to the pump) was extremely loose. I could move the hose in front and back and make good 5-6 turns with the screwdriver until it was fixed again. My question – even if it is a little glass ball reading – will be there. s probably the cause for the initially creeping loss and now be extremely loss?! If it’s wet up there, does this have nothing to do with steering gear, or am I there on the wooden way? I once took some pictures of the crime scene, with seems as if from here the oil has run down the block into the underbody tub. Only how does the oil get to the tank? About the gimmicks thrown there? Please for short help. Best regards Olly

  • Cruise goes off, engine jerks, after restart again

Hello together, maybe someone can give me a tip where I have to look for the error. Car: V70 II 2.4L 170hp BJ 2001 205TKM Prins LPG system Everything works, according to Volvo (Vida) no errors (except the interior air quality sensor). Sporadic – I can’t detect a scheme, during the cruise the cruiser gets out (sufficient, if only CRUISE in the display and it does not regulate), same while driving, exactly at the point where it starts again admit gas – so from thrust mode changes (L Then he starts stuttering/rumbling, only with the gas acceptance, partly violent. If I drive so that I either give gas or not, everything is good (so do not get into the normal process). I stop at present errors and give gas in the stand, he stutters also here. If I turn off the ignition briefly during the drive, again, the error is short away, sometimes longer away – e.g. on the AB. Further: MM-DK was repaired at ECU, then learned at Volvo. LMM acidified rt and already tested with a DENSO – error remains… Lambda probe New (original Volvo), after which the static gas fluctuations were gone. Spark plugs New Ignition coils all new (no maintenance jam) All plugs cleaned, no visible cable damage. Speed sometimes goes into the basement (oil pressure indicator comes) however quickly catches. What could I try – without driving directly to Volvo (they are not keen on such orders, because the costs mostly do not calculate the time value t and therefore annoy the customer 😉 Otherwise he runs well, always starts perfectly. First of all thank you!

  • Change the glow relays

Hello, Today I was visiting Lake Simcoe with my moose. Have vida connected to the good ones to see if there is something to do here. It was brought the error glow relay, but unfortunately did not have the exact description of the error anymore. This also fits the cold start behavior, after the start it runs the first 5 to 10 seconds uneasy. But then it has disappeared. And when the start again also no longer available. The moose: V70 D5 from 2007 with automatic and 185 hp. The glow The question here about the glow relay, I can easily change it. I would order this from Skandix. Or are there special features to be taken into account?

  • Display of arrival time in RTI – how?

Hello together, I’ve had a new XC90 for 4 weeks and I’m very excited. I’ve learned a lot about this forum and thank Allen! I can’t currently set the time of arrival in the Navi, it only shows me the remaining travel time. I studied the manual and looked for it in the forum, but found nothing. I’ve worked through all the menus in the Navi and found nothing. Where is this set? Thank you for your help.

  • Long live the TÜV!

I had already posted elsewhere: I love the TÜV abgottisch (be careful: biting sarcasm!) Last Thursday it was time: my moose had to go to the TÜV with me after 3 agonizing years (and that still in view of the fact that I am thinking of a change!). Since I know that this does nothing good, I had arranged an appointment with my workshop so that problems can be helped. In short, I quickly got there, about 1 h later the message: Existence, but with flaws…. hä????? Then the explanation of the workshop master. Before one could have reacted, the examiner (because apparently he would have found nothing else) had “gei*” on it in the report to write down the defects, that the necessary “maximum speed 210km/h” sticker would be missing. My winter tires are “H”, i.e. 210km/h. It would not have been possible to apply the sticker (which they then did) and to issue the certificate “without flaws”. Rage: are TÜV inspectors paid for according to the number of defects found? Jürgen

  • XC90D5 Consumption – Wonder me about you

Hello ! There are already various statements on this topic. But how do you manage about 9 ltr/100 km ? I only managed this consumption once, on the way from Kalmar to Gothenburg with 90 km/h cruisen. Here in D it always moves between 10,5 and 11 ltr. I find that for the weight and this car also ok, but 9 ltr. ????? How do you do it ?

  • Seats in XC 70

Hello Volvo community, I’m new here and have already drawn some information from the forum as a guest reader. Inspired by my wife we borrowed the XC70 D5 MJ 2005 from the friendly Volvo dealer (are otherwise satisfied V70 2.4, 170 HP owners) Conclusion: Great car, great engine, 6-speed transmission also pleasant and and and …. a b e r : The seats! In our V70 we have the sports seats and I mean: no comparison! After my wife after an accident quite a Hüe The result was: sports seats: no problems – seats XC 70: after 1 hour at least an unpleasant feeling. I asked the friendly person in advance and by e-mail at Volvo-Germany if the sports seats are also available in the XC70 – information negative. Reason: Dealer does not know, Volvo Germany: Seats are part of the vehicle safety and not easy to replace. Now my question to the virtually assembled experts: Is a possibility known, the sports Is the V70 in the xc70 to “transplant” or are there back-friendly alternatives with side support? Many thanks for your answers in advance. Silver Volf (which commutes to the D 5 when the RPF arrives)

  • Hurray! Our second XC is here!

Tonight it was finally time. We were able to receive the XC70 Ocean Race for my girlfriend. Absolutely g**** color. The seller took about 1.5 hours to hand over the car. Everything explained perfectly to the detail. As a mascot there was another sök in the Volvo station wagon. The car fascinates me so much that I almost come to the thought of taking that for me and leaving the XC90 to my Holden. A few facts: 2,4T, automatic, climatetronic, leather, electric. Tze, GSM phone with FsE, RTI Navi, TV, premium sound with CD changer, aluminum inlays, electric motor preheater, tinted disks, loading space rollo and grid, new Pirelli Ice & Snow winter pneus and much more… After dinner Junior of course wanted to do a test ride immediately and since he is only 14 I had to drive ;-))) With us almost behind the house is a small ski area with a great large parking lot, which is planned every evening with the ski run vehicle. That was pure fun! Without any danger so really drifting – just g****!!!!! On Saturday will put a few pictures of our 2 elks here. Greetings from the BEO Stephan
