It’s a sad day…… read today in the automotive week that the managing director of Volvo D announced that there will be no R-models from the 2007 model year onwards. There are not many who drive a R, but they will probably lose a few customers again. Hopefully this decision will be reconsidered! Too bad that Ford as a mother as Volvo is not to help!! Hi together, on Thursday I was allowed to drive D5er ́s GTI 😉 No, Martin didn ́t let me into his flicker, I got into this one for a short time, which my brother had as a workshop replacement car, because they had built crap with his with the (diesel) turbocharger 🙂 It was already dark and when getting into the damn fitting sports seats (not that they were now uncomfortable) the view fell on the blue tacho, which is excellent up to speed 300. In my head: That ́s how a Volvo R driver has to happen 😉 [Edit: Tacho, not the rest of the vehicle ;-)]

I had the pleasure of driving a Q7, 3.0 TDI and wanted to get rid of my first impression here. As far as the engine is concerned, I can only say that I would like to have this one in my elk, but it is surprisingly loud, my xc 90 is quieter what surprised me. The space conditions are impressive, just in the back, just you are sitting somehow different, sitting in the elk is easier, you are sitting higher. For my taste is too much electronics installed, you have hardly a chance without an instruction manual. The shape from the side and from behind I find not very successful, because I like the XC 90 nevertheless better. The highly praised chassis has completely disappointed me, at a fast driven highway exit the Q7 wanted to break out, so that the ESP had to intervene, I take this exit with my xc 90 quite loosely and still have reserves. Conclusion: For me as XC 90 driver there is no reason to change to the Q7, I wait and hope the Volvo brings a powerful 6 cylinder diesel at some point. To all now: That is my personal opinion.

Hello guys, I’ve been following the posts about the XC90 for a long time now. I’m thinking about canceling my already ordered ML280cdi again and I’m rewarded with an XC90. There are two reasons for this: 1. The cost factor – we get a 15% discount from our company, which results in a considerable advantage in favour of the XC90 with comparable equipment. 2. A feeling or desire that I absolutely must have the XC90, I have had this since my trial with the D5. Actually I didn’t want to separate from MB, because I’ve never had any problems with my three vehicles so far and I’m still enthusiastic about the comfortable driving feeling. But somehow the XC90 pleased me and hope that now with the FL there are also gray leather seats (no inscription). I’ve chosen the following equipment for myself. black D5 Summum Geartronic abd. Disks Parktronic front and rear elektr. Servoreling inserts Pianoblack leather beige can explain to me what the Wtho can explain to me with the automatic, too.

Hello, today I drove an XC90 D5 (185 hp) 6-speed manual gearbox Summum, 5 seater Probe. Positive: the room is built up great. Front, rear and also in the “case room” significantly more space than in the V70. The elevated seating position is pleasant, the boarding is great, the driving feeling is also great. Driving noises are O.K. Negative: I am somewhat spoiled by the V70 2.4T. The D5 is quite lame in the sprint from 0 to 100. Also when the model series is overtaken quickly (turning back, giving gas and passing) it is clearly carried. The cockpit and the interior still look quite cheap, Volvo somehow doesn’t have the happy edge – no comparison to VW. I’m curious how the 2007 model series becomes… The radio has a mise reception, in the V70 with the HU603 I have a distinctly better reception (on the same driving track).

Hello, have lost the plastic cover marked with red in the attached picture. According to VOLVO, the part is not in replacement. The roof rack costs 170,–€ and I should throw it away now because of a cent article? That can’t be possible. Does any of you have a helpful hint or a tip for me? Thank you very much in advance. Has anyone ever painted the exterior sizes at the XC 90? An alternative would be to dye them with a special spray? At least with the black car these deep black colored would look much better… Greetings, Steffen

Moin! In the meantime, I found out here in the forum that you can install the cruise control unit for the S60 yourself. Then you would actually only have to pay the costs for the hardware (“Lenkradtasten” for approx. 30-50.-Euro and certainly the software update via the Volvo-VADIS system! Here in the forum was called a price of 250.- Euro! Is that so? Does someone have experiences with above mentioned topic or other useful information? MfG Th.
