Hello, I’m just about to make a purchase decision – maybe you can help me a little bit TPS is looking for a combo with plenty of space and properly motorized. I’ve been looking at the Volvo V70 for some time and tried it out some time ago. As far as so good. The car should be bought in cash and the 25000€ limit does not exceed substantially. At the D5 steppt in the area at a year of 2006 not exactly the bear. There are a few offers, but quite a few. Now I still have the test report in the car picture about the “new” V70 in the head, there it is quite beaten down behind Mondeo, Passat and Vectra landed on place four – and that is by far the most expensive Kandiat. Sure, that you should not consider such reports as wisdom last end. But they give me a little clue, especially since the new one has been tested and the one in the upper middle class should be wilder at A6 and E-Class. Sure, I should not let the backlights of the bad middle class combos show up. Now I am looking for a good light with a new moon.

Curious with my V70 II
Hello to each other, have a strange experience with my V70. About 3 weeks ago for me in the morning calmly started to a professional appointment. I came just 5 kilometers away when I noticed that my car no longer took any gas. So for me to the right ran, and the engine turned back and forth between 1500 and 3000 tours. In the display then came the error: engine system, maintenance urgently. Car to the free workshop, they read the fault memory, were on the phone with Volvo WErkstatt and then it was: New air mass meter and/or throttle valve housing. But first they wanted to make a test drive. Then no more error came out. With me also not the last 800 km, so I thought, the topic was done.. electronic had probably spun. BIS HEUTE. Ride this morning from home, even way as the error occurred for the first time. and swoops.. after my V70 now 3 weeks without a problem.. again the same problem … and I had rattless and frustrated.. Does anyone know what to say hello to Andreas with the car?

Absolute Volvo newcomer with questions about the V70, 2.4T or T5
Hello dear Volvo drivers. I actually come from the Mercedes warehouse, here especially AMG. Since I completely dismantled my ML 55 a week ago and should now quickly be a low-priced replacement with space, reliability and performance, I came across the V70 of the years 2000-2002. Here especially the 2,4ltr Turbo ́s with 200hp and the T5 with 250hp are traded at extremely attractive prices. In my closer favor are vehicles with running speeds between 100-125TKM and automatic. Otherwise very good to full equipment. The prices of these vehicles move with checkbook car ́s between 8000 – 12,000,- Euro. Now my question: Can one do a lot wrong in this class and are these Auto ́s self-running? What should one pay particular attention to? What does it look like with the durability of engines and above all automatic drives? And, and, and…? I already thank in advance for your friendly help. Greeting Uwe.

Volvo S80 2.4T ́01 Buying Tips ?!?
Halli Hello, there is a beautiful Volvo S80 2.4T with almost full equipment in my corner. First of all the data. The car is from 2nd hand and fully stocked (always with Volvo) 75,000km, EZ 9/2001 and the special equipment includes: Navigation with cd changer, stand-up heating, seat heating, headlights with wiper, parking aid air conditioning automatic full leather summer and winter tyres on aluminium rims accident-free and the normal frills nor… Whether the car still has Xenon and a rain sensor I will find out tonight. Neither on the internet nor here in the forum could I read a lot about the 2.4 Turbo with 200ps. (The bit I could read was positive) The price is at 10,000€ Vhb (from private). What to consider? Vulnerabilities? What is the consumption? How about the tooth strap? I have seen the car so far only from outside, but will call the owner again this evening to make a date. And please no tips like “saving one more and buy the new one, etc. I can save my answers so much in advance”.

Deficiencies Volvo S60 R
Hi guys!!! I’m thinking about buying a S60 R, but I’ve already heard about other Volvos like the S40 that don’t have so reliable or flaws anymore, e.g. gear scrap, engine at 100,000 km. scrap, etc. Now I wanted to know how this is with you and your S60 R, what you have for defects or not. Would be happy about answers. Greeting Lars.

New entrants
Hello James! After a few months and about 10 Tkm with my V70 – as well as many hours as a guest in the forum – I want to introduce myself now. I came to this vehicle after the birth of our daughter six months ago. Until now a 3-door Ford Focus mobilized us – which became an extremely impractical story with the offspring. So it was excellent that my father after a successor for his V70 umtat (he now drives XC90) … At first I thought about selling the V70 (year 2002, MJ 2003, 2.4., combi and luxury package, RTI, 103 TKM) – I was (yet) not really happy with all the details: “Opa-Equipment” 😉 with automatic and radio OHNE CD, rel. expensive maintenance… But in the end a sale would have been uneconomical after all, and now I enjoy the new vehicle class very much! Have also made some adjustments and had the first „Volvo-Endniss. But the row after: The next is also an inspection, then the is the Ision-like?

One case for the ambulance: replacement of rear position lamps on the V70
Hey people! Maybe someone has already experienced this situation: Today the BC showed me the following message on “Standlight lamp def.”. So new lamp bought and thought, can not be the problem to exchange the thing. Mistake! Giant problem! Of all things the upper position lamp of the right rear light broke! After removing the panel I had quickly removed the tab with the lamp. But the installation! Help!!! One hour I tried to put the socket in place. Without success. I could see the lamp sideways in the rear light (the rear lights from MY 05 are thanks to God more transparent). Then I thought, I have it right away. Wrong indicator! After convulsions in both hands and various gymnastics exercises (observer seriously wanted to call the emergency doctor!) I was completely unnerved and aggressively driven to the friendly. He needed a minute for the installation of the lamp. Probably practice makes the master. What do I do on the way, if various lamps are broken? I can’t even think about the change of the flash lamps.

Your choice?
Tomorrow is election day not only political, but I want to finally make my decision between my alternatives BMW X3 3.0d and Volvo XC90 D5 Inspription. I ask you for your experience. I like the BMW of the enormous throughput, the sporty driving behaviour as well as the low consumption. I beat it as a car about 400 km over the highway and consume only about 10 l. Basically I think that the four to five year old motorway rides with my family can be survived also in a smaller car, because otherwise I actually drive most of the time with too much sheet metal for only one person?! I like the XC90 Volvo very much, and drive myself a V70 D5, but am uncertain whether the performance for such a large car in everyday operation is really sufficient. My driving behaviour is about 25,000 km of motorway per year. What are your experiences with the XC90? How much do you consume, what are the advantages you see with such a car? Thank you in advance for your support and advice.

What do XC90 drivers choose?
Basically Volvo drivers are probably more concerned about safety than others, after all this image adheres to the Swedes tanks. So if you are faced with the choice: safety feature or rather performance/optics, what would you choose to do? prefer PDC, than wooden steering wheel? switch off airbag or protective plate at the rear? laminated glass or wider tyres? xenon light or design package? Or do you whistle on it and just take everything? Greeting Martin
