  • 2 technical questions on stationary heating

Dear standing heaters. Did I have the stand heater unlocked for the D5 at Rossi in Desenzano and ask myself now, since the operating instructions do not say: 1. How warm does it heat up at all? Logically, it would seem to me: up to the temperature set in the climate automation. Is that right? Or does it just heats through, without regard to limit temperatures? 2. Does the “preheating” of the interior at extreme minus temperatures possibly also have a preheating effect for the engine? So you do him something good in the winter? (* puzzle*) Who shares his knowledge with me in this respect? Thanks already in advance. wgr

  • XC90 D5 185PS is ready to pick up!

Hi to everyone, I’ve been interested in this forum in the last few days and will pick up tomorrow 16.09.2005 my XC90 D5 185PS from the friendly. Equipment: XC90 D5 136KW (185PS) Silver Metal, 5-Sitze Momentum, Leather Anthracite Sliding Roof Removable Towing Coupling Manual Gear Detachment Engine Designation Roof Railing “But rather a simple equipment compared to so many posts ;-(” A question to the experienced participants (insider) of this forum, what should you consider as a newcomer? Trift it to the XC90 D5 with trailer clutch an additional oil cooler is available? What does this have on it with the unlocking of the stand heater? For tips/trippings is requested so that I don’t let myself be quite so acre Blamiere or over the table tomorrow.

  • Oil Propagation Update Costs

Hello, it has already been written a lot about the oil increase of the V70 D5. Also that there is an update which should fix the problem. Now I would be interested in how much this update costs. I have to say that the vehicle was not the last years with Volvo and there is no longer the former Volvo dealer. So the whole thing would have to be carried out with another dealer who does not know this vehicle yet. If not everything deceives me there was a callback action, this also concerned the vehicles BJ2006? I had yesterday the problem that the rain ratio on the highway has not stopped about 300km. Even after a short shutdown of the engine the problem was not solved. Only after a parking and a 2 hour break everything worked normal again. The consumption was increased by about 1.5litres, therefore I expect a rain ratio of the DPF. The oil level is already just above max.

  • Fill the hydropump with oil??

Hello everyone, In my Volvo V70 D5 185 hp currently 269,000 km, I think the hydro-punch starts to clap and ticker. In the cold state one hears in the first few seconds a dull noise, which I could not yet assign to it. I was at the workshop, and the master told me that it could probably be the hydros. But now I had asked with several, and a workshop told me that one only had to fill the hydro-push with oil, someone knows about it more? Because the other workshops would exchange them immediately and not fill them again. Is this a problem with the hydro-pushs in general, because I have already read some threads? But 269,000 km is not so much, there are other cars that run considerably longer with their hydro-pushes. I would be grateful about your help, because this week is supposed to be in the workshop, and I don’t want to throw out money unnecessarily.

  • Automatic gearboxes

Hello ! Have for a few weeks a S80 , 2.4 , 170 Ps, right-hand handlebar, with automatic transmission. The transmission switches, as soon as it is warm, after approx. 5 to 10 km, no more “normal ” from the 2nd to the 3rd gear. The speed increases, then with a ruck the transmission switches, or I go first from the gas, then the transmission plugs in, and everything is excellent. Otherwise the transmission works 100 percent. So I’ve been to Volvo 2 times. At the first time new softweare was played up. Going about 300 to 400 km well, then I had the same problem again. Again to Volvo. Again the tester, but no display, nothing found. Diagnosis of Volvo, it could be the valves, which for some reason not open properly from the 2nd to the 3rd gear. Exchange should cost about 2000 euros. Gear oil change I had already made, only the 4 liters. Since the explanation of Volvo is not consistent for me, now my question, can be over the control device, electronics, that lock the 3rd gear, that one switches right to the 4th gear, and thus, and there goes for the logical error.

  • Volvo V70 II D5 (163PS) – Outside temperature in CCM Faulty

Moin, it’s a 2002 V70 II. The climate control unit (CCM, MCC – manual climate) gets the outside temperature from the right outside mirror (PDM) and goes over the DIM (Tacho) to the CEM. The tacho shows the correct (outside) temperature. However, the CCM says that the outside temperature is -40°C. (Fig. 1) Why? For me this doesn’t make sense. Vida, oscilloscope, etc would have no idea what I should measure. In the fault memory of the CCM there is nothing. Except “check the switch, control unit of the air conditioning system (CCM)”; I did and works. The measuring range goes from -10°C to 80°C, how can the CCM show -40°C? (Fig. 2) I don’t know if it belongs to it, but the controller regulates the blower by itself (Fig. 3) Is not so much and not always. But if you touch the blower control and pull/press it already changes, however, it also regulates itself from Potling contact.

  • Volvo D5 crankcase pressure

Hello, I’ve had a problem after the pressure in the crankcase or in the oil tank. Certainly already 1mio here treated. I could only find nothing suitable/satisfactory. Problem child: Volvo XC90 d5 AWD automatic from 2004 (model 2005), with approx. 300tkm on the clock. Situation: Although I have the crankshaftsimmering – timing belt on the side – already waved twice, the engine “oils” there repeatedly. Have both times a Coterco Simmering (35x47x7), used / installed as a replacement. Crankshaft does not seem to have run in (not visible or feelable). Have done the “ship diesel test” several times. Result of the glove blows up. Blows less when one, in the test, pulls the oil pipe rod. If the lid of the oil filler is removed, one hears very clearly the tuckering of the “ship diesel”, in addition bright smoke rises from the fill-in. Be in the last year, the “Einfügdrägt, vom Ölsträg.

  • He’s here, my darling.

Yes he is there, finally Hello Elchgemeinde, today I have seen my new Blauelch at the already. Tomorrow he will be admitted. Looking forward to it very much. And on Wednesday already the first big ride to Tyrol. Follow driving report and pictures. At this point I would like to thank all those who have provided me with information here in the MT and thus contributed to the hopefully optimal configuration. Now there is nothing against the Blaelch meeting with me anymore. see http://www.motor-talk.de/t1023115/f169/s/thread.html Martin

  • V70 gearbox broken at 112Tkm

This morning I brought my V70, EZ 04/2004, speed 112Tkm to the friendly because of a speed-dependent high sum (most significantly at 2,700Umin in the fourth gear). The diagnosis of the experts: gear damage, gearbox must be replaced, clutch on this occasion equal to it. Including a 50% participation of Volvo in the replacement costs of the transmission should pay 2,182.57 EURO. A gearbox should actually last longer than 112.000km. Are these costs justified from your point of view? Thank you for your advice Sven
