  • Dissolved vin VOLVO QUALITY

Hello together After more than 20 years satisfied with VW,I wanted to change the product. The V70 D5 is a great car and immediately did it to me at the test drive. So 18 months ago and bought a new BE-D5. Just after a few kilometers the computer messes “gas values too high-please service”.Then it started with the problems gradually : Error memory deleted and wait what happens Brake light does not go off switch renewed Return lights do not go on switch renewed Z uheater squint-new nozzle built-in-qualmt still blinker left goes time-white non-switch renewed leather from the steering wheel dissolves-new steering wheel side flasher fill up with water already 2 times renewed fuel consumption very high-air quantity meter renewed seat wobbles with load change-new seat rail mounted exhaust gas values to high-new AGR valve installed axle shafts hit with load change-was glued on CD player only error-new radio installed lacquer quality very bad and j The padding on the backrest of the driver’s seat is also broken. And all this at just 20 000km and not for 2 years.I know the Volvo gets these parts from suppliers but in the end I bought the vehicle from Volvo. My cheerful one always helped me immediately, he has a great service and therefore great praise to the workshop, but nevertheless I am very disappointed about the quality and that at a high car break.. I know what many people think about VW,but so many I didn’t have any problems with all my VW vehicles. Nevertheless, the V70 makes me very much fun to drive and I had to get rid of the frustration.

  • Wooden steering wheel and decorative inlays in walnut root wood

Hello forum, after a long time it is now time, I would like to order a new S60 Momentum. In the interior I thought of a wooden steering wheel in 3 spokes design and the decorative inserts in walnut root wood. Now my question, how does such a wooden steering wheel feel (cold, slippery,…) and are the decorative inserts in walnut root wood recommended (quality and appearance)? Thank you for your answers.

  • Winter tyres XC70

Dear XC70 drivers, as in another thread, I ordered an XC70 edition in the old year. Although there are a lot of threads for winter tyres in general and especially for the XC70, but I would like to hear your current opinions. In advance: The edition comes with 17” (215/60) summer tyres on aluminum. What’s wrong with driving on the XC70 with 17 Zoellern even in the winter? Are the 17” also free for snow chains? Or is it generally better, in the win In the snow etc. prefer to drive 16” (215/65) instead of 17”? For the simplicity of half steel rims (but only for 16”, or are there other reasons, which speak for light metal rims (overheating of the brakes, steering behaviour, …)? 17” I also think about it, so that I can later install a better brake system from Heico (but first test the standard brake in everyday operation). And to the tyres: I drive a lot of long distance (motorway, Somme). r like winter), but I am also almost every weekend in the mountains. In a winter like last year (which is still waiting for you) so also every weekend with snow / mud / ice on the way. From the accessories and various tests that I have read, the following tires have emerged as favourites for me, with each small conclusion: Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow: very good winter tires and also everywhere strong, but high wear / roll resistance and. Designed as 4×4 WR. Very popular with XC90, sometimes different opinions in the MT-Forum whether good or bad. Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2: very good dry tire, slightly worse than the best WR for wet and snow, extremely durable. Not extra for 4×4. Dunlop 3D: all solid, not extra for 4×4. Continental 4×4 winter contact: all solid, extra for 4×4. Michelin Latitude Alpin: very good dry tire, otherwise rather below average, very durable, e xtra for 4×4. Tendually, not track-bound tires could be better for me, as I have such a driveway from which I always have to go backwaerts, over a short steep driveway…and in winter the regularly full of snow. What meaning does it have whether a tire is specially designed for 4×4? Would I be glad if you could give me tips so that I can place the order with my owner. Thank you, Gruesse, Eduard.

  • Motor control light since today on Volvo XC90 3.2 Summum MY07

Hello, since last week I bought an XC90 3.2 Summum MY2007, unfortunately some errors have occurred now…Since today the engine control light, in the error memory (read out with VIDA) are stored three errors, once errory software electric driver seat adjustment does not work, yellow then still stored air quality sensor internal error air conditioning without function, red stored temperature sensor internal error ambient air temperature check the Funkti On the outside mirror function limited…. red I found yesterday that the temperature sensor in the driver’s mirror (with BLIS) is defective, the cable is dead. Already ordered new. The normal outside temperature display in the instrument cluster seems to work properly. Furthermore, I found that the sound module/power amplifier only gives an output signal for the tweeters. Did anyone have such problems here? What is really broken? Where does the air quality sensor sit at m XC90?Like the S60 in the front under the wipers? Where is the outside temperature sensor for the instrument cluster, is this possibly defective? Please for help, this is my first XC90 with V70I and II,C70 I,V50 and S60 I know myself, had the cars already all or, I still have. Thanks for every post!!!

  • Light vibrations at 2-3000 U

Hello together! I have some problems with my XC90! It was built in 2006, D5, automat and ran 178 tkm. I drove a longer highway route last week and felt very light vibrations when accelerating, which at first felt like a power loss. I then got off the track and I missed everything relevant. Engine speed in idle, oil level, past blowing injectors, noises from the turbo. Nothing eye-catching! I thought sh I had hallucinations and wanted to go on. There I have the funny effect when starting, so at 2-2500 U already again. A bit unnerved I latched on the gas and immediately the effect was gone. I then rolled home relaxed at 140. Hardly off the highway, I had of course in the city traffic immediately this effect again, but I made it home with a little more gas and some ignorance. By light much then looks at me up the upper engine bearing. It was full of Thanks to Polar, I had a new bearing and new torque supports in a very short time, unfortunately it didn’t help. Maybe the effect can’t be felt so clearly now, but it’s still there. From my point of view, it has to be a defect somewhere in the drive train, because the effect only occurs under load. Forward more intensely than backward. Before I start to exchange any parts on suspicion, I would like to have your opinion. Thank you already – No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  • Different steel grades XC70/90 …?

Hi together, stumble just over the remark “… the roof of the XC90 is composed of Boron steel, which Volvo notes is four times stronger than conventional steel.” I find it interesting that the roof of the XC90 4x is more stable than that of an XC70. However, since the entire XC90 roof construction is larger and in case of an overlay it must carry more own weight of the XC90 body, I guess the impact on the passenger cell will remain similar (hopefully be i both XCs always sufficient).Tschau Torsten – the XC fan (and talking foreign today)

  • XC 90 whistles with open driver window

Have now my big one about 1 week. Since I do not open my passenger window during the temperaturs I have only come across it with a slight mistake today. I opened the window of the driver’s side at about 50 km/h half what was acknowledged to me with a loud whistle through the wind. Also in other positions 1/4, 3/4 etc. – loud whistle. Is this normal? Do you have this problem too? Greeting to Alle Xual (…who was not allowed to sell the elk sticker)

  • Do software update for V70II or better not?

I have an appointment with a Volvo workshop in two days. Our beautiful Volvo V70 II (BJ 2001) with the 2.4l gasoline engine has only been in our possession for 2 weeks. He got a throttle-cleaning from me last week, because he ran a bit restless in the stationary gas (it was only up to about 1500 revolutions high, then stayed on his normal (?) 900 revolutions, but at the traffic light it went down to 500 revolutions … until shortly before going out). Since then he is a few thick L Since the car only saw a Volvo workshop (2001 – first inspection) from the inside (after that only a small workshop), I wanted to know if it is worth it, that it gets an update for the engine control / throttle valve etc.? Here in the forum there is only one contribution, which is rather negative than the conclusion after an update.
