Moin, as some know, I recently switched from the V70 D5 AWD GT to the BMW X3 3.0dA. Here are a few sentences, why I chose the X3 and what I like (personally and purely subjectively) better or worse about the respective cars. The Volvo has accompanied me for almost three years and over 125,000 km mainly reliably. I actually had the impression that it became more and more reliable with increasing age. It was/is a very comfortable touring car. n for the new car were among other things: -larger engine (diesel or gasoline) -automatic -genug space to drive sometimes with four adults (business) some dogged kilometers -genug space to drive with the family (two adults, one child) comfortably on the holiday To the selection stood: -AUDI 2.7 or 3.0 TDI -BMW 525d / 530d -(XX90 D5) -Passat Variant V6 3.2 DSG 4motion The BMW dealer had an X3 3.0d for the test drive, which I then could test extensively from Friday to Monday. After the second day, I only had a smile on my face and enjoyed the “joy of driving”. The X3 is an extremely active car with an engine (3.0d) that Volvo really should buy. The X3 is sporty, drives around the curves and gives you a safe driving feeling in all driving situations. The space inside is sufficient for my (!!!) needs. The trunk is smaller (and due to the lack of the car’s The cockpit reminds me strongly of the E46, which had the most beautiful cockpit for me. It cracks and scrapes nothing. Ok, it has up to now only 3500 km on the clock. (Knock on wood!) I made a “longer” motorway ride up to the Black Forest. On the way there I had a little “seat problems”. But already on the way back everything was fine. The automatic has six gears and switches without large gears. In the case of a winding road trip, it keeps the lower gear longer, so that a switch down in the next turn almost never occurs. Down the mountain, the automatic switches down a gear so that the engine brake can be used. I didn’t know all this from the GT (5 gears). What I miss from the Volvo: -The seats -the pen holder (this rubber lip) on the center console -the boot Oh yes, two small things to the X3: – the rain sensor functionie rt with every weather situation so far perfect! – the xenons do their name all honor!!!! Greeting Stefan

Ongoing punishment for driving too fast…
I have been thinking for a long time about ever new speed overruns since I drove my V70. Tacho runs, compared to the Navi around 4-5km/h ahead. I swim with the others on the AB, so I am not one of the tried to be first and yet lately I get heaped ads because of too high speed. Now of course the more common speed 100 restrictions on our highways come into consideration, or also the money shortage in the Austrian cash registers…… But I found the explanation at the last time BC reset, after a tank stop! Very worrying that I did not notice Mikeec – who is not aware of any guilt !!!

Bluetooth radio for V70 II (current)
Moin, I’m looking for people who have experience with current car radios that fit without soldering or a “NASA diploma” in a V70 II. It should have Bluetooth and therefore the function to “stream” music in high quality wirelessly from the mobile phone to the car radio. My V70 is year 11.2000. Most of the seller’s information is very thin and partly not consistent at all. He informed me that I can buy a “plug replacement” from him, which is the new Radi In the case of questions about the function of the “Lenkradfernservice”, he was already questioned. Also about the “learning” of “foreign radios” I have now received different information. Btw.: The search did not yield anything that would have helped me further…

Vacuum pump or hydropump (fish cutter)
Hello guys, yesterday a Volvo locksmith told me about the problem with the hydro-pumps. I didn’t have the Xc 70 D5 mj 2005 until Friday, should the car become my wife and my little daughter. The noise from the oil cover becomes very quiet when I fold off the rubber hose of the vacuum pump, engine damage or vacuum problem? https://youtu.be/_Wj_mwoGDv8 Otherwise it runs completely normal and has from 1600 u/min full power.

Interior lighting only goes for a short time
A good evening in the round! I have a question regarding the interior lighting, and this is the problem with me that the reading lamps front and back incl. on/off switch for the complete interior lighting only function when I pull the fuse (10A) and plug it back in. They then work only for a short moment (filled about 10.min). I open or close the doors or light the front lamps incl. footroom lighting normal. The problem only concerns the reading lamps. Have the lamp unit changed completely, but without success. Are these controlled by a separate control unit? Or a ralais? Vehicle is a V70 II 2.4T Bj. 2001 petrol. Thank you in advance. Greetings

Error Memory
Good evening morning I have to sit down to the Swedish TüV. I have to do a construction site tomorrow, exchange the rear wheel bearings due to missing signal. At the same time I also make the brake calipers new, if I have the Sch**ss apart. I have read out today, not Vida and have still two other construction sites on the paper however not relevant for the acceptance. 1. Sirene alarm system communication error 2. Air quality sensor internet error. already someone and knows an inexpensive solution? I have invested more than 4000€ in the moose since the purchase in August at a purchase price of 3990€. Slowly I run out of air. The dealer had written fresh waiting. ??

1600 km with a tank filling?
It was assumed some time ago how many kilometers you could travel with a tank filling according to the on-board computer. On the occasion of yesterday’s World Sprit-Spar-Day (you have to let each word melt on your tongue!) AND on the occasion of the current fuel prices I have sometimes frustratedly tested exactly that. I have filled my elk at an expensive blue tank in Burscheid and Zockelt to Bielefeld. In fact, I reached in the meantime an average consumption of 4.8l according to BC. And the highest of the feelings was actually after already driven 345 kilometers a residual range of over 1300 kilometers. Unfortunately I am not the XC fan and can not photograph so well during the ride so that my proof photos do not make much. BUT: Did you find similar (exceptional) phenomena? And what is now the actually maximum possible range? My nerves will unfortunately not get this driving style a k omplette tank filling. That’s why I will probably never be able to do it myself. Greetings Markus … who was on his way faster today…

Help! Silver or Black Metallic
Dear Elk fans, a great forum that made it easier for me to decide not for a Touareg, but for a big guy to be ordered next week. Now my big Probelm: My wife and I can’t decide between silver metallic and black metallic. What do you think? Do you happen to have pictures of silver? The equipment should be: XC 90 D5, switch, summum (maybe inscription), sliding roof, black leather, Parhilfe, Servotronic Thank you in advance

Test drive XC90 MY06, 185hp
Hi, we’re just driving an XC90 Momentum with RTI. Actually, it’s a lot of fun for us and we could really imagine it as our new vehicle. Pulls pretty good up to 180, as it should be (clearly more pleasant than the 163hp version). BUT: The seats! Far too short seat support. I feel like we’re used to in a truck (at the moment sports seats in the 3rd). After today about 200km (182cm) and my wife (160cm) hurt my back slightly. I always have the feeling that my back has to support me. Therefore, the slight pain. Is there no “sports seats” with more side support at Volvo? We are really excited about the car, but back pain must not be. Or are we too spoiled? Does anyone else have this problem? Gruss Volkmar

D5 – refuelling at outdoor or branded refuelling
How do you see that or what do you do: Do you refuel where it is cheap or only with the brand tanks. Is there any concrete experience with the brandless? Reason for my question: my then Mondeo liked so much no Billisprit – especially of the yellow with the 3 letters. Shown by tugging and extra consumption. What do you mean: can I safely tip my D5 into something so unsettling or should I rather stay with brand diesel?
