Hello, you should actually buy or die out a V40 Volvo slowly and the price stability since the China sale and the Ford history.. Isn’t also not so much

  • Buy Volvo V40 Momentum 2.0l 122 HP?

Hello all, I wanted to know how you think about a Volvo V40 built in 2019 that didn’t have many KMs because he was driven little? Current KM stand 13,500 Apparently he looks like new and also drives great. Accident-free and checkbook from Volvo!! He stands for sale because he is almost just standing around. What would you think of such a car? Happiness to catch something like that or better fingering away? Is there any stand damage? Hope for meaningful answers…. Greeting Jürgen

  • V40 t3 geartronic turning circle

Servus from a newcomer here. After many years I have not driven or had to drive at all, private circumstances force me to have to buy a car VERY promptly. The father will soon be 80 and the health of the mother is not always so well ordered. My favorite was the Bmw 118 F20/21 automatic construction year 2019, but only until yesterday when I had the luck to put myself in a V40 and I must say I was thrilled. I felt better than in the 1st. Since I mostly need the car for the city and I am looking for something very reliable, which also my father does not overburden with digitization etc… I read myself yesterday here in the forum several hours. Now I would like to ask you about experiences, how durable the engine is and above all what it looks like with the turning circle. Up to 1-2 exceptions also here in the forum write about the huge turning circle of the V40, at the ADAC over 12.5m even. Has the T3 with the 1.5 engine been a smaller than an old five cylinder? How does it behave in narrow parking gaps and curves?

  • Seat heating Driver side too weak

I’ve had a V40 D3 built in 2013 for 2 weeks. Now, when the weather is cold, I always notice that the driver’s seat heating is very weak. The passenger side, on the other hand, gets much warmer at full speed. Feels the driver’s seat heating on Stud 1 just as warm as level 3. Sometimes I think it doesn’t work. And it doesn’t matter if the engine has run for 5 minutes or 60 minutes. Nothing changes. The fuses are as far as I could check. Did anyone have a similar problem or an idea if that’s normal? (With our 6 year old Mini One, the butt burns already at level 1)

  • My Unique Showpiece V40 Cross Country D4 Summum

Hello, since recently I drive a Volvo V40 Cross Country D4 Summum (Facelift). The Cross Countries is generally very rare, but by that mine has this rare color combination (City-Weave Hell Beige) and equipment (manual gearbox, panoramic roof, ACC, BLIS, 18″ Damara) it is almost unique. Unfortunately I am overwhelmed with the still secret service plan. Why is there nothing in the service booklet? After how much km what is due? Probably a binding to the workshop? Know this only from my Volvo S70, which was described in the manual It was almost a workshop manual. That of the V40 is ridiculous compared. Does someone have access to VIDA and can roughly tell me the service plan? Tooth belts, brake fluid, air filter, pollen filter, diesel filter etc.

  • Volvo V40 Infotainment Complete failure

Hello dear community, maybe you can help here more than with the Volvo dealer: The radio, parking aid and the display of the infotainment system have failed. The display is black, nothing works anymore. What still works are the other controls of the center console for ventilation etc. The reading of the friendly one has ejected the following error codes: CEM-B1C8414 (short circuit rear window) CEM-U015600 DIM-U015600 CCM-U015600 Is there a best-known problem of the V40 with the CEM, how can a free workshop help me with the troubleshooting here or can I go to the search myself? Thank you for input!

  • V40 MJ18 Wind noise highway – bonding windshield ?

Hello to the forum, at our V40 wind noises occur from approx. 160 km/h in the middle of the lower edge of the windshield. Many years ago I had this from the noise similar to a BMW and at that time it was a badly glued disc in this area. In other model series there were problems with Volvo. Therefore my question, if here is known for the V40 what ? sid2006

  • Recommended purchase V40 Cross Country

Dear Volvo community, after the past cars were Mercedes, I would like to take a look at something new and had a Volvo in mind. Of interest to me is a V40 Cross Country Since I have no idea what to expect from a Volvo, I wanted to ask you something for advice. I’ve already had a lot of fun in the forum. I’m looking for a reliable car with comfort and “gloss”, therefore the idea with the V40. My questions: 1. I’ve read that the D4 engines with 190 hp probably cause problems (risse). Does this concern only this diesel engine or are the problems also to be observed with the D3 and D5? 2. As I read, the gasoline engines are noticeably more reliable. Am my impression correct? 3. Automatic would be great for me, therefore my question. Are the automatic transmissions reliable? 4. Volvo installs timing belts that have to be changed at the latest at 150,000 km? 5. Are there years of construction that should be avoided? 6. Otherwise, I’d be happy about hints that a Vovo newcomer should definitely pay attention to when buying a used car.

  • Callback Diesel models 500,000 vehicles

Volvo calls back half a million diesel models worldwide Because the intake manifold could overheat and cause a fire in the engine compartment. In the series V40, V40CC, S60, S60CC, V60, V60CC, XC60, V70 (photo), XC70, S80, S90, V90, V90CC and XC90 from different model years between 2014 and 2019, the intake manifold made of plastic could overheat and thereby deform, the speaker explained the measure. A lighting up of the engine warning light, a motor failure or poor performance were the potential consequences. “In the worst case, there is the possibility that a locally limited engine compartment fire can occur. In addition, an optimization of the cooling system of the exhaust gas recirculation (AGR) is planned. In Germany, these works differ according to the model and engine. According to our information, this includes a software update for the engine control. It is intended to alleviate the problem of an excessive noise development in the aggregate. Moreover, an optimization of the exhaust recirculation (AGR) is planned.

  • Current software status

Hello together, was with my V40 T5 BJ 2015 at the service. In addition to an absurdly expensive invoice, I was told there was no new software at the V40. It is no longer further developed. What is the latest software status with the V40 and is this correct? In the standard software update list on the HP of Volvo the V40 is not listed for a long time. Thank you and greetings!
