  • Volvo 945 230FT 1. “Unbalance” in the drive At torque 2. simply too loud between 2000 and 3500

Two things bother me extremely at our station wagon. 1. under load, when torque is on, the thing starts rubbing, So far I have changed all engine bearings, hardy disk, middle bearing of the cardan shaft, the rumors comes from the middle of the rear. In high gears it is more extreme, as the moment is on. 2. when driving without load the noise background is very loud in the range 2000-knapp4000. To the vehicle, 945 FT from 1/94, 245,000KM charging pressure about 1.1 bar, medium-pretentious hail damage. Certainly done more than basic maintenance. All liquids, distributors, candles, timing belts, wapu, all hoses water Do88, brakes complete, pump relays, enstörrelais… Actually everything to 2. I can imagine a tense exhaust system. Plan would be a VA of Rakarör to mount, as long as I 2. do not get into the grip, but I will not waste any further thought and yet prefer one of our Saab further so, what can it be, that under this load comes to rubbing with HA. Thanks for the aim!

  • Volvo 940 or 740

Good evening, I know this topic was already there but my questions remained iwie unanswered. I’m looking for a solid car with solid motor + gearbox, which makes it best to drive down to my life, good care there is of course as well as fresh oil. Why these two cars?, the 850 and V70 has snapped too much for me and the 240 is for me from the body, for a daily driver in the resin where there is plenty of snow and thus also plenty of salt, too unrobust. The car is of course sealed cavity and underbody. So as I mentioned before I’m looking for a solid car with good engine and transmission, just don’t know if petrol or diesel is better or if you can still find Diesel Volvos are possibly just as robust? I’m a cozy driver and I don’t mind driving on the track behind the truck. Hope you can answer my questions. ??

  • Volvo 940 GL the road trip continues.

Hello friends of the Lego Autos. I have acquired another milestone. A 1992er 945 with 2.3 liters and 131 hp. I grew up with Volvo from child’s legs. My father started cleaning with Amazon, then 140, and with the 240 only turbo ́s up to the V70. I am looking for help and information here. Currently, after through repair of the technology, fresh tuve and approval clean clean first. Does anyone have info where I get reinforced spiral springs for the rear? It hangs a little down to me at the back. A set of shock absorbers that improve the spongy driving behavior would also be very fine. And a sports exhaust. Either ESD or from Kat.

  • Volvo 262C once again in a list of the ugliest cars of all time

This time, it’s edmunds.com, which denigrate the 262C as a failed Bertone project. You might also have to admit, as a Volvo fan, that the car is not exactly the automobile counterpart to Gisele Bündchen. But in my opinion, the car is a striking example of ’70s chic, and ‘in person’ both impressive and stylish. Maybe no one has ever seen the car in real? Lieb Gruss Oli

  • Buy ok? and further questions

Hello Volvo driver, would like to buy this Volvo and have a few questions about it! Is the price ok? I could look at it myself. Actually looked very good for the age. What about the taxes? He has as much as I have already read here E1. You can convert it to E2. Only where can you have it done. (FVH?) What about the durability of the engine? What else should I pay attention to? Thank you! Greeting http://www.mobile.de/…/da.pl?…

  • Volvo’s the (beginning) 90s – watch out for what?

Moin, I’m looking for a car at the moment. Last time I drove a Benz W124 station wagon, 3 liters diesel, year 90, which has become too expensive and too broken for me (for one year Portugal’s pothole tracks make the strongest Benz ready) I’m very excited about the vehicle category, because a lot of space and stable like a tank, but the Mercedes are too expensive for me at the moment. An acquaintance drives a V90 station wagon, which is similar to the Benzos to me, so I got the first time aware of Volvo. A few days on it mobile, then I noticed the many 740/745 models, which are already very cheap. I need the car for a move, and then I would like to drive it another one, two years. Now to the question – what is to be considered with these older models, there are typical weaknesses? (I know that these are not new cars, I am interested in things like “if there and there crack, don’t take it, then is more broken…” etc. – think LG, I know what I am looking for a car.

  • So, new moose on board…

Well, the Gaston hit today. We have a new rear-driver among us. I just made the purchase announcement, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we picked it up. 745 Business Edition of 8/91, B200F, M47, 323,000km, white, stainless steel, TÜV 3/15, KI of the 940s (everything works), removable AHK, central locking, E-windows front, roof rack, 8x matured, summer almost new Contis, CD radio, dog grid, new shock absorber 2011, new clutch 2012, ZR & WaPu 2012, renewed, Euro 2. Floors for 1000 Euro. OK, he has 2 small defects: Viscolfäfter always runs along and the roof sky hangs down. Sounds in principle solvable. But my goodness, he is already lame. On the other hand, my 90hp pass is almost a racing car… Anyway, the one here is…http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/…/185509385-216-1544?ref=search

  • In search of the perfect 745…

Hello, dear Hecktriebler-Fraktion, I have planned a big one: I want a 745. It’s best yesterday. So far, so bad, because the offer is much thinner than I expected. In all D, only a handful is offered, most of them as 2.3 and 2.0 suction cups. Which is not so bad, because that would be the engines of my choice anyway. Turbo, diesel and PRV at the 760 exit. Optimal would be one with mild lifting from 1989 (as far as I know), which with the 940 front has to be nich I don’t really need one with an oil quill transmission either… I know this question was probably asked billion times here, but I would have liked to have put it straight to the point: 2.0 or 2.3? And why is the durability of both of them no problem, but what interests me is the following: the 2-Lit The 115hp from the same engine capacity have helped my passats to more than practical driving performance. Torque-wise 2hp will be more from over 300ccm (well, I’m back at 740) in addition probably be clearly noticeable, isn’t it? The 2.3 l should be a very comfortable unit to drive, and not really higher than the 2 l in terms of consumption. or is the B200 even more economical? Thank you for your patience…
