  • Motorway consumption XC40 Single Motor Extended Range MY24

Hello, I’ll be able to choose a commercial car soon. Requirements are – electric – under 60,000€ Originally I had a Model 3 in mind, unfortunately there is no more available. I have come across the Xc40 now and I really like it. The only key point: Since I work in the field service I have many rides on the highway and am a bit worried about motorway consumption How is the consumption of the XC40 on normal motorway ride? Speaks 120-140km/h? Is one thanks to the Improvements now closer to the Model Y or EV6 or would these vehicles be more suitable as a field service vehicle? Or am I thinking too much about it?

  • What is the purpose of the slot next to the volume control?

Hello, I’m just getting to know the subtleties of my new XC40. I came across a small horizontal slot located to the right of the rotary knob for the volume. This is the right end of the row, where the switch for the warning indicator is located on the left. Is there a temperature sensor or the noise sensor for the alarm behind it?

  • XC40 Recharge Pure Electric Single (MY23) — Rain sensor??

Hi together, I was in Hamburg yesterday, since it was of course on the way there as usual well eimiert. I was irritated by the windshield wiper. It was set on interval, which in my opinion should be equivalent to “rain sensor” (hebel a level high). Not? In my feeling the sensor did not vary the interval depending on the rainfall intensity, as I would expect it to be from a rain sensor… Case of PEBSWAC (Problem Existing Between Steering Wheel And Does the XC40 have no rain sensor in the above-mentioned equipment variant (single, I think it’s called “Plus” or so… at least not “Ultimate” at all? That would surprise me, this is now standard everywhere… This car – as much fun as it is, it still requires, as it seems, a certain change of habitation from the MX-30 before. I think the longer range and the larger horse herds come at a certain price to Schickimicki comfort, which is nevertheless ir gendwie has learned to love – whereby now in particular I would not dismiss a rain sensor as a Schickimicki comfort. Greetings well!

  • Air quality sensor

In many vehicles of various manufacturers this is now displayed. I recently had a C40 as a rental car. The air quality sensor only indicated the interior quality. In this was something like: “not available”. My questions about the display of the :

  • No more Pixel LED at Ultimate – Chip Deficiency

I wanted to order a C40 Ultimate Twin yesterday. Unfortunately, this didn’t work today, as Volvo yesterday spontaneously set the Pixel LED for Xc c. Internally it says that the BLPs should be reduced by 1000€, because the equipment is missing. Unfortunately, this is not yet incorporated in the configurator. Accordingly, the dealer can not make an offer for a Ultimate, because in his program the prices are not yet adjusted. He also said that it may even be that despite 1,000€ Raba The leasing rate increases compared to Pixel LED, as the popular equipment could cause the residual value to fall considerably. However, the leasing rate may also decrease. If I find both stupid, I absolutely wanted the Matrix LED and therefore decided against the Model Y. My wife ordered an XC40 Twin two weeks ago, as plus, since she does not attach any importance to Matrix. Now, because of the panoramic roof, she is considering upgrading to the Ultimate, if the rate is favorable The C40 is the P8 Thunder Grey Tailored Wool (I find the V90/V60 mega, let’s see how it is with the C40) 20 inch tinted windows

  • Electric window lifter: can only be used with running engine after Service 2.0?

Moin, I had my XC40 Mj2019 T4 last week for the fourth inspection. I’m very sure that I could run down the windows before the Service 2.0 even when the ignition was only switched on; I always do it in the heat to set the navigation and music before I start the engine. Now after the Service 2.0 the window lifters only react when the engine is running. Was therefore today again at the Volvo workshop: there is no known if with the new software where something was changed rde; they have now sent a service request to Volvo. Answer should come over the week. Does anyone else have the problem after a recent Service 2.0? CU Fred

  • XC40 as a family car? Or is it only good with the XC60?

Do you think that the XC40 can be used as a family car (mother, father child)? Or do you come across limits (holiday ride, etc.)? I prefer a more compact vehicle. With good use of space. Otherwise, we would have to rely on the XC60, which will then also become significantly more expensive. I can misjudge the boot of the XC40 on pictures/videos without loading. Too bad that the tests of the trunk are not shown. Then I would know better to assess it. My näc hster Volvo dealer is unfortunately also a good piece away. Otherwise I would have looked at this in natura. Currently I drive a V40 CC. For two good, but with child as the only vehicle not really conceivable, because the trunk definitely is not enough. Is the room gain in the XC40 compared to the V40 CC clearly noticeable? What does it look like when comparing XC40 vs. XC60 clearly in everyday life?

  • First service with the XC40 P8 experience?

Hello! I have the first service with my XC40 P8 in two weeks now after two years. Did someone already have one and can say what is coming to me? I do not want the store to sell me something as “need”, which is complete humbug. In an international group I have read horror articles with a thousand dollars because the hour work on the BEV costs 240 dollars. From people with Hyundai, Renault etc. I read always only “transition for 60 euros”. Yes, what now? Exaggerate! t Volvo here again? Thank you and greetings! Silke

  • Charging capacity C/XC40 MY24

For the first time I charged the electric battery at a 300 kW station. I was only a little disappointed because the Extended Range can charge 200 kW. For fractional seconds there was 146 kW, after that it went on with a little over 130 kW and in the end an average of 100 kW (the previously mentioned single also reached). Then I included the cold battery and the outside temperature (13 °C) and will test this for comparison on the long distance. Then I want to use the electric battery and the outside temperature (13 °C). Seeing 190 kW on the display The best way is to charge up to 70%. Then the charging power drops significantly and at 80% it was only 46 kW. I fought the charging time with watching a feature film.

  • MJ24 (for B3?) sold out, now model year 2025

My friend actually confirmed to me today that the xc40 B3, model year 2024, is sold out. When model year 2025 can be ordered and with what changes compared to 2024, big question mark! I wanted to order just this week the B3. I don’t know what comes now 😉
