Dear people, I’ve been busy with my V90cc for a few weeks now and I still have butterflies in my stomach. In terms of the chassis and shock absorption, I’ve been busy with the following things: I’ve been on the road for a weekend with a “normal” v90. I didn’t feel the shock absorption at the time but I’ve been very good and better than in my Passat B8. So I had expected it at least, because I also had a vehicle class higher. A little later I turned a test round mi a V90cc. For comparison, I went straight back to a normal v90 and also drove it round. Especially in the direct comparison, I noticed the cc was positive because it ran over short thresholds such as deep Gulli cover and bumpy headstone paver significantly softer about it: I was immediately in love and decided on the V90cc. Now in everyday life I feel the comfort of these short thresholds as well as not so good at all. The “Schläge” are passed on quite a little again. Even in comparison to the asian car was slightly reduced to the V90cc.

“Sailing” in ECO – operation
Hej, the function “sailing” in the ECO operation I first assessed a bit critically, because I was not used to it and in the last years with the old Volvos simply “invented” my own way of driving sparingly. But if you get used to it, it will be so that you can drive even more economically – because you simply have to drive much more forward-looking. However, I have a topic with the function however. Really practical it is in my opinion mainly on country roads – especially with the speeds announced in the combined instrument – or in Sweden, where already a few hundred meters before the place table is a hint, that soon 50/40kmh – you can take the foot off the gas and sail to the village. Motorway rather less, because you drive there in the best case anyway with Tempomat, with Tempomat there is not this function. But what I noticed on my holiday trip by now – at higher speeds (which I drive as an Austrian only in DE) – so >120kmh I guess – I did not have the same thing at the time “kuppunk” – I did not have the same thing.

Used V90 CC D4 purchased. Is there anything to watch out for?
Hello, I get tomorrow my used Volvo V90 CC D4 Pro Built 3/2018 96,000 km and would like to inform me if there is something I should pay attention to. I have already searched the forums, but not found much. Maybe you have links where I can find something else or you write me experiences. Since it was an online purchase in the lockdown I could only look at the Volvo in photos and only at the used car place. Originally the Volvo drove a Volvo employee in Gothenburg and the service was done at Bilia in Sweden and the last at Volvo Göteborg AB. Then the Volvo was imported to Austria. Thanks already. LG Robert

Digital radio no receiving station change
Hello Recently the following occurred. While DAB reception evening in Frankfurt (V90, BJ 2018, km approx. 10,000) showed display the turning symbol and there was no signal available. I tried to get out of the DAB specification to switch to analog radio. But I didn’t succeed. Maybe I did something wrong. What exactly do you have to do to change the radio or how do you turn it off? Normally you can “turn off” the radio by pressing the volume button on the right radio reception. After a long drive and later switching to the highway somehow the radio caught again. Thanks for feedback. Jochen

Purchase advice XC90 or XC60 – max. 60,000 EUR BLP
Hello together, I hope you can help me. I have a company car available and I have (more or less) free selection up to 60,000 EUR gross list price. I’ve been looking into the XC90 II, but also find the XC60 II quite nice. Question is now: does an XC60 Momentum T5 or D5 with leather and some special equipment packages make more sense than an XC90 D4 Momentum with fabric, business package and only a few small things? XC90 Example: https://www.volvocars.com/configuration/uErpQ Does anyone know the fabric seats R100? Are they pleasant? About pro and contra I would be very pleased. Thank you!

no RTTI data
Hello Volvoisti. I’m tormented by the following. I’ve been driving a Volvo XC90 B5 for 6 weeks now. I’m not going to use the Volvo OnCall, what’s going on Volvo where I’m driving around… 😉 But I would have liked to use the RTTI. Apart from the fact that I have to unlock my iPhone when the vehicle is rebooted, open the settings in it and go to “personal hotspot” and then have to go to the settings in the sensus to select my iPhone as an internet source…. it’s annoying kolossal I tell you. I’m going to refuel, come back… everything from the front, I’m coming from the customer’s appointment….everything from the front, I used to pee…everything from the front. ( I have a prepaid card with 10GB data volume and a fixed Sim card installed in the car therefore is not in question) But is it so I’ve never received a single RTTi message in the 6 weeks and 14000km yet? People, anyhow there is always the ghost driver, or other dangers that even in my old S80 have always been reported to me in my old S80. What I do the same in 2020?

Completely detached – park sensor in free fall…
Moin on the other hand, I have been struggling with a rather banal problem for almost six weeks now and am curious whether you can share it….. or if I am once again “the only one” who has this problem, as the local would like to make me believe. On my XC90, the front, inside park sensors regularly say goodbye to each other, i.e. the two, which are installed in the middle of the apron between the louvres. It is enough tempo 160 on the highway to push the crammed things out of the anchorage. They also do not survive a washing system. Afterwards, they dangle around the wire harness functionally and scream beepingly for help at every stop. Very annoying!! Obviously, Volvo’s cliff was constructed too small, so that the mere sensor stuck between the lamellas has no proper hold. Supposedly, Volvo has recognized this problem and constructed another clipping that was ordered extra for my car. However, the success remained out of the same problem with a new clip. Then, the Örlich has the sensor stuck between the bolts again? What is the only problem?

Pressure/pedal travel brake pedal
Since my question went down to other places (the big question-collecting thread), now again separately. When braking I have a “comic” resistance when tapping the brake pedal (perhaps 0.5-1cm pedal path). I can’t describe it better, but it’s not like the rest of the pedal path. If I then completely release the pedal and use it again after 2-3 seconds, the feeling is gone at the beginning and it feels constantly the same. After a short ride it’s as usual again. At the first brake it’s a little “different”. Did someone have something similar? Must soon go there, because my switch for the seat heater is stuck behind but wanted to hear before, whether it is imaginable or not.

Comfort / noise suspension and rims
Hello guys I’m still at the final configuration for a V90 Cross Country. It’s about the following: The vehicle must be as quiet and as comfortable as possible! The acoustic glazing is therefore a must. Actually I like the 21 inch rims. Now I was told that these are significantly harder due to the lower cross section and also have a somewhat louder rolling noise. So I would have to return e.g. to the 19 inches. In the chassis the “standard” is minimally tighter than the 4-C in Comfort mode. However, there is less resonance noise than the 4-C. Therefore a question about the 4-C. If I take the 21 inches, the 4-C balances that again or better the standard chassis and the 19 inches? Who can help me there? Thanks in advance and greetings from the CH Stephan

I’m very surprised at my winter bikes.
I got a letter from the workshop in Hamburg Norderstedt. I just didn’t get the letter, but the content was the following: Your winter tyres are worn out. The profile depth is no longer ok. Here is an offer for new tyres. You can certainly think of the prices. Important information: I bought the complete wheels in May last year cheaply in another branch of the chain. Mhhh. My call……how is the profile depth? I waited….on the phone …….then came the statement….. not………then they called me today. Their winter tyres are porous! And from the end of 2016! Ahja. Porös….not even 4 years old. OK…..remarkable Can they please send me pictures? With the pictures. What do we see here? Damage in the profile at one point each on all 4 tires. Well, what do you think about it?
