Good morning together, We have bought a used XC90 Momentum D5 Momentum from November 2015 (MJ16), which we will receive next week. I’ll read a lot of newer XC90 which are now running on Android. As far as I can see up to now, however, it is still unclear to me how exactly this works for my MJ. I read a lot of newer XC90 which is now running on Android. As far as I am looking at it up to now, however, my system has an older (proprietary!?) system. Therefore, the question of how I can make which updates? Or differently asked: Which types of updates can I install myself and for which I have to become a dealer? Because the older system has an OTA update possibility – as far as I have reviewed it up to now. Does this only concern the infotainment unit? Or also the complete vehicle software? And how can I get navigation card updates? Thank you for your support. VG, mabuchho

Travel book / Driving Journal under AAOS
Hello, does someone know how to get the journey book (App Name Driving Journal) turned on? I’ve released the location data, I’m logged in with the Volvo ID on the system but there’s always the message that the journey book has to be turned on under “Data Protection > Volvo Privacy Settings > Travel Book”. However, there is no menu item Travel Book. The following entries are available and these are activated as follows: Data Protection for Active Safety (ASDR) > FROM App Volvo Cars > A Connected Safety > A Vehicle Data Analysis > A Manual says you should also see an entry in the app under “Profi” . But even here there is nothing to find. Generally, the board/trip computer is more than meagre… also the app shows nothing at all, such as last trip, KM stand, consumption etc. This works better with other manufacturers. Does that have to be unlocked by Volvo? Greeting Holger

Steering wheel trembles at 130 km/h
Moin, my V90 has been shaking since the summer tires (mid-April) started with the steering wheel starting at about 130 km/h. Now the summer bikes have been balanced 3 times, without success. Finally, my dealer raised the winter tires yesterday in order to be able to test the summer tires in peace. It is now much better, but from 130 km/h I still feel a slight tremor in the steering wheel, combined with a minimal wobble of the vehicle. Did someone ever have such a thing? Actually, I thought it was on the tires, but completely away it is still not… Had no kerb touches, saddles or the like.

Vibrations Torque converters
Dear Forum’s community, I have been the proud owner of a Volvo XC90 D4 with front drive year 2016 and have the following problem since acquisition: It comes under load (in acceleration) in the lower gears (2nd and 3rd gear) at a speed between 25-45 km/h to an unpleasant shaking / shaking of the vehicle in longitudinal axis with an estimated frequency of approx. 5-10 heart. It is clearly noticeable at the side cheeks of the seat and also reproducible if e.g. the 2nd gear is locked. Also when braking / sliding is available. The following parking measures have already been carried out by the Volvo dealer: Unfortunately, the above measures still failed to stop the vibration. Jetz I have the torque converter in my eye. Does a transmission oil flushing succeed? Does someone have experience or a tip for me? I am very grateful for any feedback. Lg Matthias

Activation of “active park pilot”
Hello, I was able to drive an XC90 sample a short time ago and I’m torn back and forth at the moment. Since vehicle is top and the giant display is not so bad. But I lack the one or other switch to choose functions directly. Among other things for the park pilot. Is there no other way to call it than to torture itself on the touchpad through menus? If I want to park spontaneously I can’t look for it on the display first. I’m faster to park in the old-fashioned way. Can one of the XC90 owners help me with my question? Thanks Lutz

Own import from Sweden
Hello everyone, I would like to buy my new Volvo in Sweden and then drive and import to Germany. However, the question arises as to how the import is possible. I see the problem of the transfer in that one does not find any insurance in Germany for the Swedish export license plate. Or has someone already found one? As an alternative I had read here that one registers the vehicle in Germany normally and pays the import taxes with the sent vehicle documents from the Swedish dealer and the purchase contract. Then one takes the German number plates and can take the car from Sweden to Germany. However, on the sides of the authority is that the vehicle has to be presented in Germany. Has someone already experience and can explain how the procedure works safely?

Winter tyres to small rims ? – Vibrations S90
Hello, I want to tell you something about my winter tires here and at the same time listen to your experiences. Have had an S90 R design since summer and have now my first season WR on it. These have been raised to 8×17 Rial M10. Pneu is a GoodYear Ultra Grip. Since the beginning of the switch to WR I have had a restlessness in the FW. Did not have my tyres balanced out at two dealers. It had not both the same result – it means that the second workshop had to correct the work of the first workshop. A slight imbalance always persists. Now the best thing: was with my and had to find out there today that my tyres were too small for my vehicle without air suspension and that technically it is now so conditional with the long wheelbase. Did you ever hear such a thing? KBA allows a rim and then despite balancing still a restlessness?

Water drops behind medium rear-view mirror – gasket panoramic roof?
Hello, had you ever had a water break in behind the rear mirror (XC 90), water dripped from the camera box except for middle jalousie: car was parked and it rained slightly but continuously. Front window had changed a few times I presented it to the workshop immediately: was artificially rained etc.: Demonstration effect – water didn’t penetrate an… no idea… before the sky was expanded, we wanted to wait for the next water break in again… Seals etc. are unfortunately not covered in warranty extension… Did I then look at the panoramic roof a few days later and find out that a piece of seal is missing on the passenger’s side behind (see photo). Workshop confirmed that this doesn’t look normal… Have you ever seen this before, there has been an action? How shrinks the sealing rubber – bird’s food is not so clean…?? Thank you in advance for your comments.

Bright equipment quickly cuddly?
I am currently suffering from acute configuritis in the very last trains. Yesterday all order details were already talked through with that, only with the color of the interior the spirits are separated. Outside it should become Osmium Grey. My colour favourite for inside was actually after the sneak preview after 3 black interiors with aluminum finally a light equipment (not the amber too yellow-stitched for me) with linear walnut. However, with this I not only on resistance of the OHL, but practically word-same also on the “resistance” of the . According to its information were now the first vehicles with bright interior equipment after a few weeks use in the workshop and should have had already been clearly smudged seats. According to this this is a new experience with the new XC90, with the other models so not know so so. Thus the interior of a Momentum exhibition car is probably covered, with which above all the outer cheek of the driver’s seat already clearly visible dirt-abrieb. Long speech short meaning: how are your experiences in the daily practice, however, I am not sufficiently aware of the disadvantages of both of Dautium and the equipment.
