  • Cannot open rear door! Volvo XC90 2

    Hello everyone, I have been having the following problem for some time: The rear right door cannot be opened. If you open or close the door, you can clearly hear that the locking mechanism works. Nevertheless, the door does not open. The handle on the outside has no resistance. The handle on the inside has resistance but nevertheless the door does not open. I have already cut off the door and side panels and try to push the lock up in various ways. It is stuck. I am very upset that such problems occur with a Fzg. This class. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there a simple solution to drive to the Volvo workshop and pay a lot of money? I am grateful for every tip.

  • Driving in the snow

    Hi, how is this when riding uphill on snow-covered road, now assuming AWD? For example, a steep turnaround where you can’t take a lot of momentum with you. Just drive up to comfort and, if possible, without rushing? Does the ESP not regulate the performance back when the wheels start to slide occasionally? And what does the off-road mode do with the ESP?   • XC90 T8 cold engine in pure mode

    Hello everyone, I will probably order an XC90 T8 in the next few weeks and therefore also deal with the hybrid system. I drive the whole week short distance max. 15km at a time. Twice a day. Therefore my plan is to get full electric through the week. What happens if the oats sting me and I want to drive fast at the traffic light? I put on power and pedal to the metal. Then the engine is immediately after the cold start under full load, right? Is from the hybrid system a warm up of the engine during the electric driving phase?   • Which engine for V90CC?

    Moin together, in advance: I have some respect for the small, high-charged engine in terms of stability and also tend more to the diesel. Yearly driving power 15-20 tkm (experience value) , but can also be more (not predictable). We drive our cars mostly up to 200…250 tkm mileage. It should definitely be an automatic. How are your experiences with the engines D4 or D5 – what about the T8 – is that a serious alternative? 6-cylinders no longer exist, so I see that. Merci in advance -mgw

  • Convert T6 to gas?

    Moin together, I seem to be one of the few T6s (excellent probably D5 here). Has anyone ever made a conversion to gas in the Volvo or does a statement from Volvo about gas? I have after a good 1.5, years Volvo Selekt warranty, which I do not want to infiltrate. I do not drive as much kilometers (currently thanks to the Bahn100 map only 10tkm a year), but still carry me with the idea to convert to gas. Best regards from the north! Lars

  • Interconnection of traffic messages

    Hello together! I’m new here in the forum, since recently owner of a V90. I’ve been reading with you for a long time, and I’m now addressing a question to you. Actually I’m very happy with the car, but one thing doesn’t work as I expect (or am used to from other cars): the traffic messages are not consistently switched through. If I listen to radio on a station with traffic messages (e.g. OE3, am Austrian), everything fits, the traffic radio gets louder and also up in the Sensus or displayed in the driver’s display. Likewise, if I go from the transmitter to USB. If a traffic update comes, USB playback is interrupted. However, if I am on a transmitter without traffic messages, the traffic messages from other transmitters are not switched. So if I hear OE1 (or switch from OE1 to USB), I do not get any traffic messages anymore. That was definitely no problem in all my previous cars! Does anyone have similar experiences, or an idea to solve it? Thank you in advance for your answers!

  • T8 vs. B5

    Hello, I am about to choose from my nearly 2J old T8 with about 31,000km, or a new B5. Equipment completely the same, but there is of course a small price difference. For both cars I would have the service & warranty package with me. Would you recommend the T8, or rather a new B5? I really like the strong T8 and charge it regularly in the city with us. The B5 sounds somehow tempting because new, but I’m not sure if the T8 doesn’t actually mi Is the B5 strong enough? I look forward to your feedback!
