Hello, I am interested in a used V90 (not an annual car, but already a ‘right’ used one with ~100tkm). Is there any sources of error that should be avoided, i.e. engines/gears/equipment features that are known for failures/problems? I’ve heard that the first VEA engines should have had problems with engine damage, the engines in the V90 are still affected by this, if yes, until when? Another wonder point for me personally are automatic transmissions, so I always had trouble so far, so I would prefer a hand switch, but now there are very rarely the V90 as a hand switch (one of them even had a defective flywheel with 130tkm). What about the durability of the transmission? Is there on the part of Volvo maintenance intervals, which are to be considered? Thanks and greetings Olli

Hello everybody, I’m about to order an R-Design XC90II and would like to know how adaptive the LED lights are – real cornering light (not just bending light) is already given, but how is it with the Active Highbeam, can several vehicles be hidden or is “only” the light range adaptively regulated? Unfortunately, I don’t find anything meaningful about this…

Hello dear members here in the forum, I have recently noticed that for all V90 models before the model year 2019 there is also an update of the security assistants in the accessories catalogue:https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-at/V90(17-)/Accessories/Document/VCC-514185/2017 Since I am not least the security systems because of Volvo customer I have asked several friendly Volvo car houses in my northern Hesse environment for the conditions for playing up the “Update” in the naive hope that this is very cheap or possibly even free of charge within the scope of Service 2.0. Finally, it is only about updating systems such as BLIS, which my vehicle already owns as standard equipment or Exta. All car houses wanted about 850€ for the update, which is of course an “Upgrade! What kind of experience have you made? One left from Canadian and American forums already, that the update is ten times cheaper there! Hello and a happy healthy new year in the round Can anyone tell me which control unit is responsible for High Activ Beam and what else is controlled/regulated about it? Since we have the V90CC MY2020 we are dissatisfied with the workings of the “intellated headlights”. We are regularly, “meckert”, which we dazzle. Many tried measures of the remedy have brought up to now only conditional improvement that do not satisfy us. My thought is now ECU.(??) VG Jan

A nice good evening, I would like to switch from my station wagon to an XC90 and need your help and experience for it. My vehicle will change owner for about 30-35,000 euros, I want to pay max. 5000-7000 euros so that I pay between 35.000-42,000 euros for the XC90. Now I don’t know about the Volvo at all, whether it’s the equipment lines still the engines, whether only gasoline or petrol/hybrid I still have to find out what is more worthwhile and what is in the budget. Since I’m not yet 40 years old, I don’t like Chrome around, like a black design and not to bieder, then it would have to be a R or Black line, unless the grill is exchangeable against a black. My daily working easy distance amounts to 9km, that is 18-20km a day, hence the idea of driving the track electrically, but it’s not a must, it’s also the normal petrol driver. Clear T8 plug in would be good, but quite expensive. What can you advise a Volvo newling X90, which is the best choice for the vehicle.

I have considered the following: the front camera should be positioned, at some distance, to the right of the IntelliSafe unit, to minimize possible interference/impairment of the unit. The power cable and connection cable for the rear camera should be guided behind the headliner over the WSS. Power cable then comes to the fuses in the footroom passenger side and is connected by electric thieves. Connection cable for the Rear Cam is installed on the front passenger side over the roof sky. The camera is then positioned (from inside) centered below the 3rd brake light. The hardwiring then allows the operation of both cameras in the parking monitoring mode.

I am a great lover of the V90/S90 elegance and of course I am already extremely excited about how it will continue in the future – with the first pictures of the XC90 successor I can not get really warm. Hello dear Volvo community: I come from Upper Austria and have become a big fan of the brand since my current Volvo V60. My current V60 has now finished with Bj 2011 good 285,000km and some “deer” repairs. Since I find the new Volvo V90 incredibly beautiful and already have one in view I would like to read myself with the search function through this forum but still hear your experiences again so that I can be quite sure. The Volvo in view: Volvo V90 D5 Momentum Bj.2017 149,000km Quite many extras like AHK,Pano.,Standheizung,volleder in schwarz, etc. etc. this list is long as you know from Volvo. Price 28.000€ unneeded. Now to my questions: -Is there any problems with these models except initially the loader hoses yet? -I’ve sworn once I never buy full leather again – is really busy in the interior – is there any more?
