Hello together, because of a longer workshop stay of my XC90 (MJ2017) another XC90 from Sixt (MJ2018). I noticed that the one from Sixt had in the rear camera (simple variant, not 360 degrees) so horizontal guide lines in the camera image, which, depending on the approach to an obstacle from green over yellow to red, indicated. I find a great thing. Unfortunately, my XC90 didn’t…. my dealer doesn’t know any advice here. According to his statement, the XC90 would not have been on the yard, you don’t know how to “refit” it. The latest firmware/software is installed on my apparently (in the display is last software update October 2017). Does anyone know what it means?

XC90 Built. 2018 Connect amplifier to existing sound system
Just bought me an XC90 (just approved) and unfortunately only ordered the normal sound system + sub. Since this is bad or the speakers hit in the front doors, I thought about the existing, factory-installed power stage to connect another proper 4channel power stage. The cables, which go from the installed power stage towards the speaker, go now first into the new power stage via Hi-Level Input. I use this input, because Chinch unfortunately is not available. I am satisfied with the sound as well. However, only sound comes from the speakers, if I pull off one of the speaker cables for a short time and plug them back in again. As soon as the ignition is off and the power stage restarts, nothing comes out of the speakers. A speaker cable pulls off again and plugs in, then sound comes again. Does anyone have any idea what to do to fix the problem?

Standing climate at XC90 t8 TwinEngine
Moin dear forum! Just registered and already the second question. This time to the standing climate. I read in the instructions that it only runs with cable – I think it is completely ok. Recently my Volvo said something like “pre-climate, since petrol level is too low”. Of course it was still cold, and therefore it was only driven on petrol (-5°C). Since I had to start spontaneously with cold car I suspect that it warms the batteries in the first time before it changes from petrol to E. However, I did not find that exactly in the instructions. My Volvo dealer meant at first however also, that one should always preheat the batteries, that is better. Only what does the petrol stand have to do with it? I thought, he heats and cools electrically. Or am I wrong there? I hope you know more! Many greetings Ben

XC90II and Heico performance increase
Moin municipality, I get in a few weeks my new thick, a D5 AWD. Currently I drive an XC60I D4 AWD with Heico performance increase, which is really fun. The cart drives fast, splashy and is noticeably more agile in acceleration and elasticity. So a little more (click here) there is also for the XC90 and I play with the idea of “doing it again”. Considering the little bitches that the software still does/could do, I don’t know if this is a really good idea. Yes, I know Polestar and the discussions regarding warranty, possible damage etc., but because of the good experiences have no “Frucht” in front of Heico. Only that there is about the bitches that still exist CAN Gezerre between Volvo and Heico. That’s theory, but maybe you have experiences or a sound opinion. Thanks & Greetings, Alex

Change from BMW to Volvo !?
Hello to the forum round, I’m going to answer as someone who’s never driven a Volvo before. But a lot of BMWs? Currently BMW X6 M50d. But now the new XC 90 really has the stuff that I’m going to be unfaithful and consider a brand change for the first time. However, as I’ve never had anything on my hat with Volvo, I don’t know the typical features that make up the car. Speak the brand culture and understanding. Except perhaps: Safty first. So please allow me a few (if necessary stupid) questions, so that I can “work” the Volvo a little better. I’d be happy about your answers. 1. I’m a lot and therefore passionate diesel driver with a weakness for high torque. Petrol is not a topic for me. Therefore, I would have been interested in the hybrid, but only as a diesel variant, which doesn’t exist. Is there any possibility that in the pipeline? Did Volvo even have diesel hybrids on the market? 2. Why is there just a big SUV for 2Liters?

Pre-climate conditioning / pre-heating / air conditioning
Now I need some help. With the terms pre-climateization, climate in the stand, stationary heating… the thickness (and also the description in the APP) gets a bit confused. The stationary heating heats the interior when the pre-climateization is activated? Aha. Can I not just switch the stationary heating on or off? Have tried this, i.e. “climate in the stand” start… There is also air, but no warm. Also the symbol with the three curved arrows pointing upwards, which should come according to the description in the driver’s display, is not displayed… What completely irritates me is the diagnosis of the VOC APP. There, after the diagnosis under the stationary heating “no” stands. This, regardless of whether I use a timer or a VOC APP “climate in the stand” start or stop (see picture). Is there this menu item without the stationary heating at all?

Leasing XC90
Moin in the round, I’ve been driving a V90 D4 AWD as a company car for a short time and am very satisfied with it. Next year we actually wanted to exchange my wife’s V40 for an XC90 or V90 CC. Actually, a purchase was planned. Due to the extremely good leasing conditions with the company car I simply asked for a private leasing. Honestly, I was opposed to leasing in the private sector, but this time there is a lot to talk about, even though purchase remains a topic: – The “diesel risk” (bad resale??) sinks – We can drive the car for a maximum of 3 – 4 years, because then also with my wife a company car is standing – There are max. 12,000 km p.a. driven, with a resale I probably get the low km rather badly compensated Since I only get next week (in quarter 3 allegedly the conditions improve) a quote, I wanted to ask here how so your experiences are. Have a XC90 D5 AWD moment asked: – 0 € deposit – 12,500 km p.a. realisticly – 48 months to view your purchase for a price?

Problem with the front axle – poltern
I open this thread because there are quite a lot of problems with the front axle. In my case, it is expressed by a rather loud pollination. On cobblestones you can hear it extremely, but even with lower unevenness. Volvo keeps itself covered in this respect and seems to be looking for a cost-effective solution. My workshop does not perform the repair first. A concrete appointment was not mentioned. I would like to hear only the users speak with this deficiency and answer the following questions: Is air suspension available? How exactly does the defect express itself? Was the repair done exactly? Was the repair done successfully? Was the repair done permanently successful? How does the workshop behave?

Inconvenient “comfort” seat
My friend said that I shouldn’t take off my thigh rest. I did that, but it’s a little bit better. It’s not really comfortable. If I take off my thigh rest completely, then I can also feel the crossbar underneath it. What do I do? I weigh 115 kg, so there’s a lot of pressure on the seat. Think about it – especially because after 5000 km the light brown leather already wears the first delicate grey veil – to get a padded cover. I’m spoiled by the train – the last 200.00km of multi-contour seats have been driven with MB air conditioning – the best seats I’ve ever driven. Am I the only one with this problem? What about other heavyweights and long-distance drivers?

XC90 T6 – really an exception
Hello together! I have been considering the purchase of an XC90 T6 for 2 months and follow my desired configuration of a new T6 as well as the offer of demonstration cars, young used cars and day registrations etc. on the relevant car forums. Diesel models are available in good selection. In addition to the (not quite cheap) T8 there is virtually no offer with the gasoline models. One gets the impression that over 95% of all XC90 are built as diesel. Is this actually representative? Or are the T6 owners so happy that they do not sell or the dealers with the demonstration cars trimmed only on diesel? Although especially the dealers when using a vehicle over 3 years rather advise themselves to a petroler!? Greeting, Kai
