Salute, we recently bought a used XC90 from the dealer. Don’t know me very well with cars – so, you’re welcome to laugh. 🙂 The car has Continental 235/55 R19 105V XL on it. With these tires, the car also got a new TÜV on sale! Because we now have to put all-weather tyres on it, I wanted to order new tyres in a workshop. Now it comes: In appearance, however, there are only the 235/60 R18 min 101V. 1) Did the TÜV not look exactly or is 55 vs 60 and R19 vs R18 unproblematic? 2) Since I don’t have a bug to buy new rims: would a new tire with 235/60/R19 OK? 3) 55 vs 60 what does it matter? Driving? Optical? I tend to be one of the 3 (in order) manufacturers. Warnings? – Michelin – Goodyear – Continental Many thanks in advance XC90 2 (L) 2.0 D5 AWD: Greetings

App “Driver Performance” missing
Hello, I haven’t been active in the forum for a while (before 740, C70 I, V90, V60 and XC60) and I’ll be back with this question. I’ve been driving an XC90 T8 (BJ 2024) at the beginning of the week. Unfortunately, I can’t find the “Driver Performance” app. I mean, that’s what the app called the previous models. I mean the app with which I can see consumption data. I only find the fuel consumption in the driver’s display. The power consumption is not displayed anywhere. I mean, there would have to be the app in the middle display. So combined display of electricity and gasoline per ride etc. I’d be very happy if someone can help. Thank you and a lot of greetings Alake

XC90 – Camera image dark at night
Moin together, I have a question about the camera system at the XC90 and your experiences with it: In the evening/night the picture is almost completely black with me, no matter if the rear lights or brake light or front light is on or not. During the day no problem at all, but at night it completely regulates down into the dark, instead of at least reproducing or amplifying the ambient light. Sufficient light from the street lighting should be available, it affects both the front and rear cameras. So suppose a software problem. Is an XC90 T8 Recharge with Android system, year 2023. Did any of you have similar problems? How were they solved? Had it two days at the service, got it back unchanged. With the V60, which we had before, this was not a topic at all. Thank you, Mathias

Volvo S90 II car can not be opened – Problems with KeylessGo
I have the following problem: KeylessGo sometimes didn’t work lately, with the second key already. First key doesn’t work with new battery, the second key doesn’t work anymore. Open with the mechanical key doesn’t work either. Keys can be turned, but the lock doesn’t matter. After many attempts, the car is now open and it started after several attempts. Starter went through quickly, so that the car battery probably isn’t the problem. Nevertheless, I first connected a charger. Since I need the car tomorrow morning, I don’t dare to close it again. Did it try with an open window, but there was no reaction again. Does anyone know what this can be? Especially irritated me that I couldn’t open the door with the mechanical key. Frustrated greetings Jürgen

Led headlights moist
Hello guys, I finally bought a S90 D5 R design with quite full equipment yesterday after a long search. I noticed with the vehicle that both headlights are wet from the inside. The car has been standing longer outside in the rain weather now. The seller said that this is normal with the Led headlights. What do you say about it? How likely is it that both headlights are leaking at the same time? Or do you say that it is normal with the Led headlights. The Active High Beam Assist headlights are installed here. The vehicle is from 2018, accident-free and with the Volvo dealer. Thanks already in advance for the answers.

Volvo V 90 D4 Engine oil service required
Hello Volvo driver, I am addressing a question to you: I am very happy to drive a Volvo V 90 D4, EZ 4/2019, current mileage 102000 km. The vehicle is regularly serviced according to the maintenance plan at the Volvo car dealership, last service took place 12/2023. No short distance traffic, there are always at least 50 km covered. For some time in the center display with the oil level display with the blue beams appears sporadically the message “too much oil filled in”. In the driver’s dysplay is then reported “motor oil service required”. On other days the oil level is then again in the standard range to maximum and in the driver’s dysplay no message can be recognized. The car dealership has checked the oil level several times, the filled quantity is always at 5,2 l. The oil level sensor has been changed in December, this has not resulted in lasting success, the above mentioned reports continue to appear. The recommendation of the car dealership is now to ignore the report, since the oil level is demonstrably in the standard area. Since now further vacation rides are at hand, however, it is with me?

Noise after turning off the engine – normal?
Hello to each other, I have already used the SF of MT and Google, but found nothing comparable to what my XC90 deals with the D5. I hope you can help. The following I noticed last time and I just want to make sure that this is okay, or I prefer to go to a workshop, as long as I still have a one-year used car warranty: When I turn off the engine, I hear something (metallic noise) going on in the engine room until it finally comes to a standstill. But that’s only heard when I open the door or stand outside. In the vehicle itself you don’t notice anything. Also, I sometimes feel that it is so “normally” . Could it possibly be the turbocharger that is still spinning a few more revolutions? I’m aware that a remote diagnosis is difficult. Well, since it’s my first Volvo I just wanted to know if it’s “normally” or not. Could it be the turbocharger that I can’t confirm that it’s still a few more revolutions going on?

XC 90 “tweaks” and fiefs when giving gas
Hello, I just registered here, maybe someone here has an idea what it is about. My Volvo contract workshop seems to have no shimmer. I’ll tell you briefly. At first it fell only slightly on the noise. I thought of a leaf in the ventilation or something. Then I noticed that this chirping, fieping .. can be heard at light gas-giving, but only at slow to moderate speeds up to muchl. Max 80 km/h. From the outside one hears it more than from the inside. So ADAC on advised by volvo (should press on call) is called up.. nothing read out, nothing found… by the way, no inspection was found at the volvo. So off to the workshop. So get a call, it would probably lie with high probability at a defective kat, I would have to reckon with costs of approx. 4000€. Good. or better not well changed. Thanks was still there today. Noise is still there, but the kat was changed, there is a crack at the ceramic part of the tube.

LED reversing light / LED turn signal (back)
Hello Forum The joy of my new V90 CC is enormous. There’s really nothing on the vehicle, except: the missing LED turn signals (back) and the missing LED rear light. The former is available in the S90 and also in the XC90, so nobody can tell me that Volvo “extra” installs the Long-Life light bulb turn signals. At the front and in the two side mirrors is an LED turn signals installed. Also, there is nowhere else in the car a normal light lamp, except with the rear turn signals and the rear driving light. My question: Has someone already converted the rear turn signals to LED? Or has someone installed LED reversing lights? I look forward to your contributions.

Question about the B&W sound system
Hello dear colleagues, the B&W sound system has been my XC 90 for almost 2 weeks now and I’m almost completely enthusiastic about the moose. No matter what sound experience I set up, or however I move the bass or subwoofer control. Either it’s horny (which I don’t mean you can feel the bass in the seat here) or totally thin. Have I ever put myself in the trunk and try to feel whether the bass is produced here. But either the subwoofer was forgotten or it doesn’t work properly? Does anyone have similar experiences here? Had an A6 with a standard LS system for a week before elk collection, but this system was full-bodied in control center position. And yes, there was only thanks to DAB or via Bluetooth music. Couldn’t be that at 1000 watts plus and over 3000 extras a Gedön source came out with this in advance. Besides Sony’s own sound in front of the edge.
