  • Bicycle carrier (AHK) not allowed for 4 bicycles?!

I have just noticed that according to the operating instructions only a bicycle carrier designed for a maximum of 3 bicycles can be mounted on the AHK. Furthermore, the actual support load should not be adhered to here, but the carrier incl. wheels can be up to 75 kg heavy. This obviously applies not only to the v90 but also to the XC90; probably for all models. I am particularly surprised because Volvo itself offers carriers for up to four bicycles as accessories. Does anyone have experience, background knowledge or has been using a carrier with 4 bicycles for a long time? I thank Eich for your feedback!

  • Line queer cut earth cable wallbox

Hello together, I would like to install a wallbox in the outside area. I would like to use an existing wall entry to pull a new line out of the basement (distribution). There I would like to install a sub-distribution in the garden house, length until then approx. 15 meters, in order to connect there still amarkise and motor for gate entry. From the sub-distribution it is then again approx. 23 meters to Wallbox. The sub-distribution is of course also extra protected. Unfortunately, through the wall entry only a cable with 5x4qcm fits through. Of course I would prefer 5x6qcm. Question now, has this already been built with 4qcm line, when using an 11kw wallbox?

  • Ultimate XC90 Presentation Thread

What do you think if we use this Tread so that everyone can present their new XC90 with a few photos and the ordered equipment? Maybe we should leave all the ideas uncommented, that keeps it very clear. Can I imagine that the many new interested parties would be happy if they can get a picture of possible color combinations and equipment variations already in advance. Unfortunately I can not start this Tread, mine will arrive at the dealer only in the next few days. So then, fire free… Greeting, Volvo Pilot

  • Recommendation/Experience Full-year tire on 20 inches

Moin together! I searched 29 pages forum and somehow found no thread about all-year tires (or missed *grrr*). In the tire threads, among other things, the Contis and rolling noises and winter tires were discussed. If someone has a link, would be great! Otherwise I start here. I think – after discussion and recommendation of the dealer – to switch the Contis to all-year tires. He would exchange the Contis to 20 inches for the Goodyear Eagle LS2 (M&S) for an extra charge. My elk is a leasing vehicle for 36 months. Normally I am a friend of summer/winter tires. Hoberger gave the tip with Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season. How are your experiences/recommendations? Greetings

  • Problems with iPhone Hotspot (iOS 11.03 ) Version 15B93)

Hello! Unfortunately, I didn’t find out in other posts, so I ask my question here: For a few days now I have been trying in vain to connect to our XC90 (EZ. 7/2017) via iPhone. In the settings menu “Communication” of my Sensus (here both Bluetooth and WiFi) everything seems to work so far, only the Internet logo at the top left of the main display remains persistently crossed out, although in the respective submenu BT and Wlan the connection is marked as active. Globally I also get the message (e.g. within the download center) that no connection to the service is possible. Does anyone have an idea what this might be about? 1000 Thanks for your feedback and a nice rest day!

  • Volvo XC90 T8 real consumption – practical data

To the info: After I have covered about 5000km with the XC90 T8 Mj 2019 I can report the following real consumption data: Conditions: highway route always so about 800km, normal traffic (also times with stop and go, construction sites etc. – thus real conditions) compliance with the speed limits, predictive chilled driving mode, all assistance systems active, climate and light on car, radio on, outdoor temperature approx. 10-20degree Celsius: 1. not faster than 160km/h, highway flat: 10.5L/100km (mode hybrid). 2. not faster than 180km/h, highway flat: 11.8L/100km (mode hybrid). 3. not faster than 160km/h, highway hilly: 11.5L/100km (mode hybrid). 4. not faster than 180km/h, highway hilly: 12.0L/100km (mode hybrid). 5. not faster than 160km/h, highway flat: 12.5L/100km (mode hybrid, battery charging). Duration is about 40 minutes until the battery is fully charged. 6. Range with full battery: 27’s never made. And the ride is not very busy.

  • Smoke from the engine compartment

When I was standing in the city at the traffic lights it was smoking out of the hood (left front) – and it was stunk badly (in my opinion after ÖL). Then I got to the right and saw under the hood – the smoke came from the cracker / exhaust. But then it had to continue driving – it still smoked a little. When I arrived in the workshop it no longer smoked – demonstration effect. The car was then checked on the stage – it is all dry, it is nothing to see. The technician meant – the DPF is now in the engine room – it is getting very hot (~600 degrees) – and there should be something burned. Whatever that has been!? I have seen that the car the last KM also needed a lot of fuel – my cut is at ~7l – he needed short ~20l lt. Display. Does someone know the phenomenon? If you are driving that doesn’t smell so much – but I have found it in the interior of the Volvo forum – I have read some similar ideas.

  • Heating (electric) V90 T8 Recharge MY23 – Consumption KWh

Hello, sometimes a question / observation to other V90 T8 Recharge drivers who have an electric heater. I like to preheat my car at the wallbox in the morning at very cold temperatures (at the moment so -5 degrees). Now I have already observed the following several times and can measure the values also on the basis of my smarthome or photovoltaic system: The car is charged the previous day 100% by Wallbox. As starting time of the planned departure I enter e.g. 6.30 clock in the morning. The car then draws approx. from 4.45 o’clock electricity until 5.45 o’clock (3.7 KWh) one hour long. Then it pulls from 5.45 o’clock continuously less current from the wallbox until the scheduled departure time. First 3000w, then 2000w… in total per warm-up process so about 5.5 KWh and takes 1 hour and 45 minutes for the whole process. I “buy” myself with the preheating of course a little more electric range and a pleasant temperature in the car, but it “costs” me 2.20 € (5.5 KWh * 0.4) the net heating capacity in the other 3 km.

  • Preheating VOLVO Car app

Hello, I can’t (more) start the heater via APP. It worked until 1 week ago ALWAYS – on start and the car was warm. Now I always get the message “could not start”. I then filled – sometimes all errors in the ECUs deleted (was also nothing in the reference in it)…. no idea. When I then go to the car and start the heater over the display it starts immediately. Even if I start the car it always runs nicely with at first. Then I thought – ok, 5° is u. too warm – today it was 0° in the morning – the APP (and only the APP) doesn’t want – everything else works but over the APP. Does someone have an idea? Thanks uwe

  • Experience with Volvo Assistance

Hello, unfortunately, yesterday evening on the highway with the messages “Motorpower limited” and a little later “Particle filters clogged up”. The thickness ran up to 120 km/h and I had still 50 km to home. I drove on and 15 minutes before arrival at home I called Volvo Assistant. ……and I was absolutely positively surprised! Until arrival at home all the data were recorded with the promise that you would take care of the tow truck and a replacement car. However, you have to know that there was already 21 o’clock in the evening. Not 10 minutes later the tow truck, which announced that it was about 20 min…. Not 5 minutes later Sixt reported that they had no SUV but whether an Audi A 8 would be ok too??. However, they could no longer make the car I had to pick it up until 22 o’clock. Tow truck arrived on time and even had to pass by Sixt. Replacement car accepted to the Volvo dealer, where the tow truck had already been unloaded…. and finished. From the 1st service car I had to be able to get rid of a good work day. This had to start.
