  • Purchase advice Civic 1.8 generation 8 or 9

Hello together, I play with the idea of buying a Honda civic as 1.8 gasoline. I found an offer for the generation 9 in the equipment sport for ~13000€ Bj2012, 30tkm, 1 previous owner. What do you basically think of the offer? In addition, I would like to know how big the difference from generation 8 to 9 is. Are the differences so small that one can buy the BJ 2010/2011 without hesitation, or has changed a lot? The dealer said that the generation 9 was developed from scratch… how much do you notice of it as a driver? With generation 8 the paint should be relatively sensitive with stone strokes etc., has this improved in the 9th generation? Greetings 2Bernd3 supplement: Achja, during the test drive I noticed that the instruments are mirrored in adverse sunlight and difficult to read, even at the highest brightness level. Particularly affected is the area where residual range, multimedia info etc. Has any of you similar experience?

  • MB8, 90hp, engine goes off spontaneously

Hello, the engine goes off spontaneously. During the ride or in the stand. No matter whether cold or warm driving. No matter whether dry or humid weather. Sometimes on a few KMs often in a row, sometimes hundreds of KM no problems. When it is off, it can sometimes be started immediately again, sometimes it requires several attempts. Finally, it was possible to determine slight regularities: twice in a row, it went out directly when inserting the reverse gear (return light?). A few times directly when pressing the turn signal on the right. Once when turning on the windscreen wiper. This all within a few KM. After that, the whole thing could not be reproduced again. A few weeks ago, the ignition coil was re-engineered on suspicion and the throttle flap was cleaned. This did not help. The battery is top. At the moment, the car is back in the workshop.

  • Civic Coupe Ej6 power hole at 2000 to 3100 rpm

Moin people, I have a big problem = ) And while my civinches are ticking around, Since a long drive back from the course the sweet spins. And indeed, the engine jerks and stutters when accelerating in the speed range 2000-3000 revolutions. On the highway it is impossible to accelerate out of this range. At the beginning I always had a blubbering or banging sounded like false ignitions. But one gives gas nothing more happens neither the speed rises nor the Km/h. But if one crosses this 3000 mark so floods the little one again. One has the feeling that from 2000 revolutions 2 trucks has to hang on behind it. Very noticeable on the highway bsp. I speed up in the 4 course to the 2000 revolutions to start the stuttering, I want to drive sparingly at about 80 in the 5th switch it stutters around. Even when pressing through the gas nothing of the engine then sounds very sluggishly in this case. As soon as the node bursts it starts to super change again I can’t be pleased with the spark plug plug, unfortunately, my battery is broken.

  • Purchase advice and dimensions driver’s seat

Hello, I’m driving a Golf IV at the moment and because of the problems with my driver’s seat, I’m switching to Honda again -> back to the roots. My very first was a Honda Civic Generation 6. Never had problems with the seat. Since I have a lot of long distance (30,000 km highway) and comfortable seats have highest priority (costs are almost as important), a 1.7 CTDI (Generation 7) or 2.2 CTDI (Generation 8) wouldn’t be wrong. Can anyone of you tell me how wide the seat is in the Civic, so back and front with and without sidewalls? Does the Civic have a Lordose support or do you need it at all (can be that the back area is well formed)? Unfortunately, I don’t have a Honda dealer in the vicinity to be able to look at a Civic spontaneously. Alternatively, I would also take the jazz because I ride comfortably and here the consumption should be small and the seats very comfortable, although I don’t know the dimensions of the seat. Thank you! Greeting bluewing09

  • This Civic all right?

I’m about to finish my driver’s license and the questions “Which beginner’s car” are probably already present here moderately, but I was recommended a Civic for the beginning because it is supposed to be cheap in insurance, cheap in maintenance and cheap when it is about spare parts. I just assume that all these are not rumors so I looked around the internet and found this Civic.http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=234864563&asrc=st I’m layman when it comes to cars because I’ve never really been interested in it. Maybe you can tell me if this Civic is okay for the price and what I have to pay attention to. Mfg

  • High consumption at the Honda Civic EJ9….

Hello! I have to get rid of something to my Honda Civic EJ9 again. EZ was 11.1997 and soon TÜV is fälliig. Quite exactly in April. I bought the good one only in January 2011. I find, however, that the fuel consumption is quite high by now. I read here in various threads of 6-8 liters, however, I come after my calculations to 10L/100km. Maybe I calculate wrong?! How do you check that so much on 100km was used up? So what is it going on? I do this so far so that we say exactly 20L tank, uind then drive until the yellow tank indicator lights up. I then drive still about 30-40km further and then look at the driven KM since the last tank filling. And if I go afterwards I have minimal 10liter consumption… what is quite a lot if I look at the other “consumption” threads. And with a look at the upcoming TÜV and another thread where someone has not got an AUeff. And by the way, the Extrason does not have a bad value.

  • nasty Honda Concerto problems

That’s why I don’t have to read it again. I’ve got to read it again. I’ve got a very reliable honda concerto 1.5l 66kw, but it’s now slowly getting bitty. And first of all, when I’m driving off after a normal rain cast, it drips on the right side or left side (depending on how the flying forces work) below the amature board water out. not that I don’t like water but first of all in the car and second on the driver side where all the fuses are, I think that’s really stupid! well, I’ve already read a little bit, but don’t get smarter. have already the runs at the front of the engine hood and on the top of the sliding roof. are my knowledge free from unrat and co. now I don’t think about it since time.

  • Steering gearbox leaks and cracking noises while steering

If I have the self-help workshop with the screws of my newly built trailer clutch from below, I had to find out that my steering gear is leaking on the front passenger side. Since I am a short time also have cracking noises I could imagine that it could be the steering gear. I am rather starting from the wheel bearings. However, the self-help workshop meant immediately that the steering gear is gone. The replacement should take a very long time and therefore I have tried to find something in the internet and repair books to do something like the steering gear will be expanded. Until now however, only with moderate success. Some write this without problem without solving / expanding the axle, others write that the axle has to be solved at least. Did any of you have 100% a steering gear removed and can not give me any information about what has to be done or not to be done on the right. Have also read the steering gear does not cause the noise (Domlager, Brake etc.) I don’t like to make any suggestions like otherwise. If I don’t like to talk about it again.
