  • Ignition lock defective

    The Honda Jazz is built in 2004. Initially the door lock no longer worked, then the ignition lock. With difficulty I could insert the ignition key again and start the vehicle. Since then I pulled it out only once, out of worry to not be able to plug it in and thus the car can no longer drive to the workshop. Now the shock: the Honda contract workshop told me that the replacement of the ignition lock with making a key cost 2000,00 €, each further key again 400,00 €. I let the vehicle drive freshly over the TÜV (was with another repair quite expensive) and would not want to leave the car because of its otherwise good reliability. On the Internet you can find many companies, the replacement ignition locks and key manufacture, but the free repair workshop of my trust told me, this does not work in most cases, one has to rely on Honda contract workshops. Whereby I have tried to buy another contract workshop of Honda lock clearly then have to return to the Internet for about 700,00 € the lock for repair, but also this is not always working. In addition, I would have to do less with 10 days to try it. But if I had tried to buy one more than another key.

  • Honda Jazz Mkl lights up

    Hello Jazz municipality. A friend of mine bought a Jazz from 2008 with the 1.2l engine and ~120,000km Now start after about 1st week the MKL light with the error: HO2S S2 signal Terminals in the condition fat and efficiency of the catalyst system under the threshold value. So unfortunately I do not start with the first error code anything, my guess is that the error code with the HO2S signal is meant the Lambda probe and the error with the catalyst system is a consequence error of the Lambda probe.   • Emergency mode, error code

    Hello together, I have for about 3 months the problem that my Honda jazz goes off and to like into the emergency running mode, the MKL goes on and the engine jerks. After switching off and on the engine the MKL still lights up but the rest runs again normal. Mostly this happens when I push the accelerator pedal in the 2nd – 3rd gear completely. ( After a short time MKL disappears again). Recently I cleaned the outer throttle flap ( not completely removed ) and afterwards it went really well 2 weeks. I only had to switch it much later than usual but now the whole thing is relapsed again. My guess is that the throttle flap is dirty and has to be completely removed and cleaned. In addition, the engine speed varies sometimes in idle between 600-1000. Ignition plugs are new and problem was already there before ignition plug change. Please help.

  • Enormous oil loss, despite replenishment

    Hello I’ve been having the following problem for a week: After about 15-20 minutes drive the oil lights (Display & Icon) lighted up with me last week. As far as no problem, I replenished oil, but the lamp lit again after a short time…so again something poured in…again the same game. Then I brought them to ATU (yes, I know… but it was the closest thing with me & I didn’t dare to drive with it anymore because the lamp was red). They thought they had completely filled up oil, it could not have been in it any more (maybe it didn’t have to be oil loss) Now 3 days after I picked it up, the lamp goes on again when the car went warm (but only on the board computer display, not the icon) But it’s NOT oil spots on the road or so… do you know what that can be?   • 2009 Jazz – contradiction between consumption and display

    Hello, our Jazz have driven now 2000 kilometers. Are in total very satisfied, two things are negatively noticeable: 1. The disks fog unceasingly fast. Not only behind, but in the whole vehicle. Only the air conditioning helps here. Of course is quite unsightly, as this affects the fuel consumption. The stated consumption can be observed only in the city in approximately. On the highway the consumption with us was 120-140 km/h at 6,3-6.5 liters. However, is ok, if 2. What’s really stupid is the inconsistency between the tank display and the kilometers driven. We had 420 kilometers after full fuelling the tank display was zero (motorway ride) and the message was that we would now drive on reserve. This is almost 8 liters. The on-board computer indicated at this time that the range was still 40 kilometers. At 440 kilometers I fueled, but it was suitable for With a consumption of 6.5 liters after 440 kilometers, actually about 28 liters are consumed, but why do I get the message that the tank is empty so quickly with a tank that holds 42 liters? I have experienced this in total 3 times. Actually I would have to be able to drive a good 200 kilometers (with a consumption of 6.5 liters)!!   • Interior mirror with Dashcam

    Moin, due to a traffic accident escape, where a Mercedes touched my friend’s Mitsubishi Outlander at 40 km/h while driving, but this was recorded by the Dashcam, I have now ordered such a Dashcam for our Jazz Hybrid. This is the NavGear FullHD rear-view mirror Dashcam, BT, G-sensor, 4.3″ TFT monitor from Pearl. It costs almost 100,- and has an integrated battery. Of course, it would be better to have a fixed power supply. A cable from the mirror down to the 12V socket, where a Garmin-Navi is attached to it would be possible, but for that we would have to buy a 1:3 attachment for the can. And that doesn’t look really great, if the power cable hangs over the windshield. Does the interior lighting remain from the roof sky, which one could “tap”. Does one of you have an idea?     Hello dear forum community, I am still a driving student and would like to buy my first own car next winter. The Honda Jazz 3 would be short-listed due to its reliability and practicality. However, I am inconclusive with the motorization. My budget is approx. 8000 euros; for this, the Internet contains both 1.2 and 1.4 engines with appealing equipment and compatible mileage. Is between the two engines a A clear difference that justifies a possible extra price of 1.4? How do the real consumptions of the two differ?   • Air pressure in the tires increases by itself

    Hello, my wife’s 2022 jazz was driven even less last year than before and now has just under 10tkm on the clock. With annual service I think about whether we want to do without the oil change or not request it in a quotation, if the car does not require it. For the guarantee this should have no effect, if the car does not require it. When would the next oil change be necessary then? Can this then also be in the middle of the year or can one then participate with the next service? I learned lastly that the time of the service itself does not set the counter back to the execution time but to the planned time – so I will not ask the dealer about this question …
