Hello, I’m new here and I have a problem: I’ve been driving a prelude BB3 for about 3 years now. I’ve taken it over from my father, who has taken care of it very much – as far as the technical side is concerned. Now it’s also time to change the exhaust system including the flex pipe. Since there are these flex tubes individually, so you can weld this one in and don’t have to buy so’s expensive “complete tube”. In this breath I wanted to install the above-mentioned Minikat to reach Euro2 with known side effect. TÜV Süd has produced a test report (cat companion booklet) with nem Prelude BJ 10/93. Dummally, my KFZ EZ 01/93. Now the registration office does not want to register this as: – approval number (F984) – engine type (F20A4) – hub room and performance (1997ccm3,98kW/5300min-1) can’t let me know the same thing.

Prelude– few used cars
Hello, in the foreseeable future I have a prelude in the 5th generation as 2.2 with 185 or 200 hp. However, one can hardly find such a car if one is looking at autoscout in the radius of 200km from me. Were so few sold of it in Germany? One is there, which is quite interesting. But with 140,000km still for 10,000 euros is also something over. Do the performance data also hold what they promise? In theory it sounds quite good. Why is the maximum torque of 206 NM at 185 Ps ser and 200 hp ser the same? At present I drive a Focus with a 1.8 Maschiane 115 hp. It is sold… Just want to have some more power and generally something new. Do you think that I make a slight back step in terms of technology? Unfortunately I still did not have the opportunity to try this very attractive car for me. I would like to thank you for your answers…

Hello, how does it look with the gear problems at the Prelude BB9. Are all preludes affected or only certain motorizations or years of construction.

Prelude BB8 4WS : Massive rust in the rear wheels
Proud owner of this beautiful and rare lover car with 4WS, leather and VTEC reports. Unfortunately I fight enormously with the heaviest rust on the rear wheel runs. My search for repair plates was unsuccessful and a single production in combination with the remaining carroserie stacks seems unprofitable. Does anyone have practical tips on how to save the good piece? Thanks & Best regards! – blueshift

ABS Prelude BB3
Hello I’ve been having a problem with the ABS from my BB3 for some time now. The lamp started at some point and since then my ABS is inoperable. I then measured all the sensors (for safety 2 times)… The rear two had a resistance value of 0.9 k-Ohm, the front left 1.2 k-Ohm and the front right was about 9 k-Ohm. I then assumed that this is defective, ordered a new one and when I wanted to install it again all measured. But then all 4 sensors had a resistance value between 0.9 and 1.2 k-Ohm, so all in the green area. My next guess would be the control unit… Has anyone had the problem already and can help me further? Thank you already in advance.

The BB3 is a good used guy?
Hello I would like to buy a fancy sporty Japanese in February. In my short choice are : Honda civic coupe ej 1 or 2 Honda Prelude BB3 Toyota t20 1.8 Mazda 323 f ba I want my car to be more visually what makes it and is not a pure-bred athlete. I noticed the BB3 with the “small” machine. Are these cars worth a recommendation? Do you have diseases? What about the costs (Bin student and have after all fixed costs still about 600€ available)? Do all Euro 2 have? What mileage are realistic and what prices? What consumptions are to be expected with normal driving methods?

integra,acura motor in prelude bb9 ?
so i’m going to get a fox exhaust system (4 endpipes 🙂 and I’m not going to get rid of it, that the look is so slow but certainly no longer suitable for the performance. naturally i should have gotten the bb6/bb8 but at the time there was really no well-preserved 2.2er in blameless condition and low running performance for a nn nn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnlnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

BB3 water pump leaks – what to do?
Hello everyone, during yesterday’s oil change I discovered a leak in the cooling system. But this only occurs during running engine, so I could never see a wet spot on the road. The leak is at the water pump, which is driven by the timing belt – right? From a small hole between the water pump and timing belt drive comes a small “cool water – rhinestones”. Now to my questions: 1. Is the cause of this leak a def. sealing ring at the water pump? 2. I get the water pump out without expanding the timing belt (so just relax belts and the pump by the belt somehow?) 3. Do I need a completely new water pump (Ebay 43,44)? Or is the change of the sealing ring in the pump rich?

What’s special about the 2.2 VTEC engine
Hey guys I have a question about you and I think I’m right here. I’m looking for a sporty coupe at the moment and am very excited about the price performance ratio of the Honda Prelude Bj.98 2.2 VTEC with 185 ps only want to know what’s special about the engine that is going around the top so good when the VTEC is used but what exactly is that because with Honda I haven’t really occupied myself the last time and I have no idea about the Honda engines in general so it would be nice if you would help me a little bit because of the lifespan, load capacity and maintenance and what comes up with you so much So hope for an answer MFG: QUATTRO1993
