  • i30 – Long-term experience

Dear Hyundai community, my partner and I intend to buy a Hyundai i30 (EU import vehicle). Since the vehicle is not so widespread (such as the Gulf) I would like to ask in this forum specifically for your long-term experiences. I would be very grateful for any hints on the following topics: 1 – Repair vulnerability 2 – Warranty handling 3 – EU vehicle purchase 4 – Fuel consumption 5 – Useful special equipment Many greetings and a nice day wishes you Hans

  • Result inspection i30

Hello together, as expected, the first annual inspection went through without major defects. However, with three surprises, which cost me nothing but have already surprised me. 1. The rubber buffers of the shock absorbers had dissolved and clacked back and forth with rough unevenness. 2. The underbody was damaged – on request explained with the technician that it was the underbody protection, which was not optimally applied. This was to be snowed when spraying at the plant. ll dried and would now be cracked. No drama, but you should have it fixed shortly. Points 1. and 2. were probably recall actions according to the seller, I was asked if I was written, but what I had to deny. Did you write? I guess it’s only about the 1st production series from the Czech Republic from the end of 2008, beginning of 2009. 3. Geared cover was broken, small amounts of oil were lost – is replaced on guarantee. Doof only that I now have a follow-up In my opinion, inspection costs were very cheap and fast and were at € 111.00. Duration 1 hour 10 minutes.

  • 1st time washing system

Hello, today I sent my I30 through the washing machine for the first time. Result: some scratches in the paint, which could be polished away. For this one sees the polish marks and also veils, less beautiful. In addition, the area of the footroom “carpet” is molded under the pedals, where the rubber mats end. I had been lying there to this day to prevent this from happening. I also cleaned them regularly, but when there is wetness under it is stupid. The car is Stoneblackmetal lic, a very sensitive color. But I wanted to have the car just like that. The quality of some materials is already borderline, can often not keep up with the overall processing. Too bad. Honda RedCar

  • Wheel thread broken, who’s to blame?

Hello, I don’t know so well about cars. Now I have the following problem: On 08.11.2010 I had an inspection on which the wheels had to be removed. I had the inspection done directly at Hyundai. Today I had my winter tires put on in a workshop. I wanted to have this done only at Hyundai, but was 20 euros more expensive. Now the workshop, where I had the winter kingdoms drawn up, said that with the left front wheel a It would have broken the thread. You would have noticed this already when disassemblying because the mother was harder to solve than the others. But you could tighten the mother still. It was also cracked when twisting tight. The master then advised me that I should have an appointment at Hyundai. So I called Hyundai and told them the problem. They told me that the workshop that put the tires on me was to blame and that I now have to pay for it myself. That would be almost 200 euros, since something would have to be expanded or exchanged. Now the question: Is this really so expensive and do I have to pay for it myself? Wasn’t it my fault or? Thanks P.S. I apologize for technical errors =)

  • Upgrade Hyundai i30 to LPG

Hello! Maybe someone can help me here. I’ve run my i30 since the beginning of December. About 5000 km. Now I’m thinking (due to the high breath, fast driving and expensive fuel prices) of having the car upgraded to LPG. The dealer’s warranty is 5 years. Do you know how this guarantee will expire? Has anyone had any experience?

  • New car purchase Getz 1.1 or better 1.4

Hello all Hyundai drivers and connoisseurs, my daughter would like to have the Getz. Since she has only been driving for 3 months, we have agreed on the Getz 1.1 T3. Equipment: Getz 1.1 color black inside black/red rear panes black central lock with remote control air conditioning The car should have winter tyres on the standard rims, in spring summer tires are bought on aluminum wheels. Would you like 16″ rims with 195/45R or 205/40R or 17″ rims with 205/40R tires em Why?Bodykit will be retrofitted in spring. Now I read that it is a very carrier car. Didn’t drive the car to the test, can’t judge that anyway, I’m used to a little bit more performance. In my opinion, the 1.4 with 96hp is clearly too strong for a driver’s license newcomer. Furthermore, she drives mainly in urban traffic, or lying down on the country road.Which engine would you recommend and why? Already in advance thanks for the answers.

  • “Kangaroo gasoline” i30 + stabbing stench

Hello! I had a very unpleasant experience today with my i30cw, 1,4l, Bj 2010: Before refueling he ran quite normally. After refueling (Shell FuelSave 95 octan – as always) he then started to take the gas no longer properly. I had to push the gas pedal properly to get from the place. My car had this already 2 times, however, independent of refueling. Now just before the entrance to the house a strong stinging stench was added, like burned rubber. I am around the The car was running around, but couldn’t find anything. Tomorrow I’ll drive to the workshop. Also my consumption continues to rise continuously, now it’s 11,5l/100km. Has anyone ever experienced such a thing with your car? Greetings

  • Hyundai Coupe successor – First information

The Hyundai Veloster, which has already been presented a few times as a concept, is to be developed into a successor of the Coupe and become the entry-level athlete below the Genesis Coupe. Now further details are leaked, which the finished car of the Veloster study is to come very close and thus rather aim at the VW-Scirocco or the Scion-tC, so no ”real coupes”. Moreover, the name Tiburon is probably no longer used, but what new. the platform of the Hyundai-i30/Kia Ceed is based and will also have the new 1.6l turbocharger with DI as well as the new Hyundai double clutch transmission. At the IAA 2009 the series model is expected, which will then be launched as 2010/2011 model. On the same basis the Forte Coupe from Kia, which represents the Kia counterpart, was derived from the Kia Kee study, but a classic coupe is still presented here the message: http://www.autoblog.com/…/

  • H1 does not start after engine change

Hello together I have the problem with my TQ that it no longer starts after the engine change. The regenerated engine was replaced in a Hyundai workshop, but somehow does not want to wake up to life. The attachments of the old engine were taken over except on the glow plugs. On last Thursday came the assumption that the HD pump does not promote enough. New outdated pump worried and installed. Missing again too little fuel at the injectors. Is the fuel system of your workshop car in my to find the source of error?? Is there any experience what may have gone wrong during the exchange? I almost suspect that somewhere electronically a signal is missing
