Hi, the Jaguar E-Pace from my wife is basically a reliable car. She drives it now as a new car for 1.5 years and loves her “Black Cat”. Since handover no defects, no workshop visit (except pick-up of a spare part wg. of a biting martens), actually “NULL” problems. If there were not Apple Carplay. Since my wife and I have each got us a new iPhone (12 Pro Max) happen strange things, which are unfortunately not immediately reproducible: – the iPhones are crashed when the cable connection is established (both) – a connection is established, but there is no sound coming from the infotainment system – sometimes it goes well for a while with an iPhone, then again not The software stands I have updated all; further updates are not offered. Has anyone here already experienced something similar? Or does someone know what it is? Thanks for your feedback.

3.0 S V6 petrol engine in x260, loud tacker with cold engine.
Moin, with my XF S I have a very loud taker with a cold engine which only becomes quiet when the engine is a bit warm. So in the stand after about five minutes or about 3-4 km drive. With warm engine it is also there but then it is only with a very fine ear to hear, is more a ticker. Since the engine has only 26000 km down and I still have warranty at the used car dealer I wanted to know it now exactly. I gave the car into a Jaguar representation to make a diagnosis n. Result: Everything is fine, is normal, you have an F-type there with the same engine and it is tackert too. The explanation on my demand which makes the noise come because: It comes from the injection nozzles, which sit under the compressor and there is no insulation possible the noise is transferred to the compressor where you hear it then. To my question why it is only so loud when the engine is cold I got the answer that you don’t know exactly but would assume that. that it is related to the fact that if the engine is cold, more petrol is injected into it so that the engine reaches a faster operating temperature. So I am not quite satisfied with the information, can it really be that way or does any of you have another explanation that is understandable. Please no speculations, I can do that myself for hours. Who has a Jag with this engine, does it work with you too?

General about XE 20d / Buying Tips
Hello I am thinking about whether I should get an XE 20d after my engine damage with my BMW 316d (control chain torn, 8 years old, 143,000km), because the design is very good for me. Although I have been travelling with BMW for almost 10 years, find the circumstance a cheekiness and want to buy something else, similar, only nothing more German. Are there general problems (such as BMW N47 engine control chain) that could “relieve” me the purchase? On what should one use the used How about the maintenance costs? If I charge off the tank and insurance I still have about 500-600 euros in the month, is that too scarcely calculated? I also have one in the selection, 2016 with partial leather 115,000km around 17.500. Is that ok with the KM number? Priced as well as technical? Thanks and LG

S-Type Electronic hand brake blocked
Hello dear Jaguar friends, still I am enthusiastic owner of an S-type built in 2002. Unfortunately I now have a malfunction of a special kind on my vehicle. For no particular reason my handbrake went on strike, it could not be solved any more and so the car was no longer ready to drive. After a call to my Wekstatt I was informed of various options to release the brake. 1.short plug (2m) before and back with the brake tightened. No success. 2. vehicle new again Start. No success. 3. Pull the connector in the rear of the case and plug it up again. No success. 4. Cut the brake rope. Successfully, the vehicle could be moved again, but with fault instructions on the display and acoustic warning signal I was able to drive the vehicle into the workshop. There was then a larger expensive repair carried out. Now my question: 1. If this fault with the electronic hand brake has become known more often or is it about a 2. When installing the brake ropes, novel deflectors were installed. Is that a measure to avoid such disturbances in the future. In other words, the problem has already been detected in previous cases on other vehicles and could thus be eliminated. 3. If reading the fault memory with IDS had not been able to detect the problem in order to repair it more cost-effectively. For me as the vehicle owner, the question arises: How can one use such a technique? fit into a vehicle without providing a cost-effective and practical note lock (redundancy). I would be very happy about an answer. Your broombinder X

Is the cat dead?
Last year in summer, my 95 Daimler started to bitch. About every fifth time he didn’t jump on. The starter didn’t turn, although all the control lights lit up. If he was locked up again with the remote control, re-locked and then started, he ran. Therefore, I typed the immobilizer and put the car in a contract workshop because this was annoying to me in the long run. Had I rather made myself. After three months, I got the message that she was using her I had the control modules for immobilizer and alarm system changed (there is only needed) and the ring antenna at the ignition lock changed (new original part). Without success. The car was then brought by trailer on the advice of the managing director to the Jaguarservice Raddatz near Barsbüttel. He would know with such vehicles. He also found a completely rotten skin plug. on the engine control unit and replaced it. Zero. Dan was sent the control unit to England for overtaking. (Knapp 800,-€) Reinstalled, without success. Has a similar experience or a tip? Completely frustrated Ingolt Bergmann

Jaguar F Type R Used Buy/Financing/Leasing
Hi for now. Until February these years I was the owner of a Porsche Boxster981. I have sold it now. Yesterday I am the FType R test driver, I fell in love immediately. Now my questions: I don’t want to buy the F Type R because I’m afraid to get rid of it later and because the value loss is quite high. Now I think about financing a used one (about 90,000 euros) with a residual rate to close or to lease. (over 3 years) What do you think: finance and c or buy the car completely? Do I get the car sold again? Your help would be very valuable to me.Alternative would be a Porsche 991, but I am addicted to the V8 engine. Moreover, the Jaguar is beautiful!!! Thanks already.

Replenish DEF
Moin Moin, have a beautiful XE20d since March, which makes me – at least until now – a lot of fun. However, when I bought it, emir said that I don’t have to worry about the Ad Blue, the tank is full and if I then came to the first inspection in about 2 years, they would fill it up with the “Pfennigsartikel”. now the car is 9 months old, has about 11,000km down and screams for Ad Blue… Jaaaa, Jaguar says now, that is naturally from the driving mode. from – (I am anything but a fast driver…) – from the weather conditions etc. (probably also from the sun level…), but I should agree to a workshoprmin, for limp 70 Euro would solve the problem for me, And that would probably be so and I would certainly have this problem at least 2 times a year….. To do it myself you do not advise me, because you have to pay attention to the actual level + only Jaguar can read it out and if I fill it “on good luck”, it can be used r be too little and I’m “all nose long” at the tank and fill, or it’s too much and that’s not good, because the system works with low pressure and then maybe nothing at all….. Besides, the filling has to be done with great caution, because the stuff crystallizes quickly and if I spill it then… oh, oh, oh…. So much for the “Pfennigsartikel”…… question: can’t I just drive to the tank, cut in there 5 liters and is good…??? If that’s the case, then that’s the way it is; I’m only angry with the ass with Jaguar; could have played with face-up cards – would have bought the cart anyway…

Oil level measurement of the V8 only as described?
Of course, the spontaneous answer to my question: Yes! I want to explain briefly why I ask this: I find the instruction “10 minutes after parking the warm engine” unrealistic. I know this procedure basically also from other car brands (e.g. Porsche), however, significantly shorter periods of time are sufficient here. With the German brand mentioned above, the time needed for a tank stop is enough to start the measurement after returning to the vehicle from paying. jaguar-necessary 10 minutes can hardly be achieved even at a very full gas station. After coming home 10 minutes in the vehicle is also not the yellow of the egg. Result: You measure too rarely the oil level and risk some with it. Does anyone have an idea how to do that better? Greetings rab2

Is there a removable AHK for the XK Convertible (X150)?
Hello guys, please don’t lynch. Of course I don’t plan to pull any hangers with the XK. But I also like to ride a bike passionately. And it always annoys me when I have to take a closed car in nice weather, because of the bicycle transport. Since one rides bicycle just like convertible in nice weather, it literally pushes itself to connect the one with the other. Therefore I am just thinking about either the Z4 or the XK a removable The whole thing should of course not be visible in the dismantled condition. For the Z4 there is something, but I have my doubts about whether the roof can still be opened and closed, if the bicycle stand is mounted, because the boot lid is tilting backwards, so that the tin roof can be stowed away. At the XK only the cover flap moves but not the boot lid when opening and closing. Therefore, my question whether it is for the XK convertible (Bj 2012) A first search on the Internet was unfortunately unsuccessful. Or do you know any other possibilities, how to transport 2 bicycles in or at the XK-Cabrio and still drive open?

x Type 3.0 Automatic purchasing advice and experiences?
Hello, I got a good offer from a friend who would sell his Jaguar to me. This is a 3.0L engine, automatic, BJ 2002 in full equipment. 180.000KM The car is very pleated, because it is a Jaguar lover. My question is this: Is there typical “diseases” with the model variant and the kilometers? gearbox oä? a few months ago everything was renewed and repaired directly with Jaguar for a few thousand euros, I have also seen the invoices. Is there anything against such a car? Because somehow in the minds of many there is a kind of shitstorm, transmissions are vulnerable, consumption is like a Ferrari, repairs are expensive and at the year of construction and those kilometers you can’t drive it anymore. Others say it’s a super car. Personally, it’s about safety driving, I’m on the road a lot.
