    Hello Katzenfreunde, maybe someone has a tip to solve my problem: if my XJR is warm, the engine shakes in idle mode and dies in thrust mode. According to Jaguar diagnostic device, the Lambda probes were defective, replaced and successfully regulated on the diagnostic device. Nevertheless, still no uniform blank run. Subsequently removal and cleaning of the throttle valve housing as well as the idle actuator motor did not solve the problem. resetting egate on the PC or can it be that the idle actuator is defective?

I am sitting here in Sultanate Oman and I bought a used Jaguar Sovereign ́96 last year. Now I was on Germany holiday a few weeks and the battery is empty. So far so good and not so bad. Actually! The nice Japan import does not allow me to put the key in the intended opening to dre At the front, everything is no problem. The hood can be opened accordingly. Unfortunately, I can’t connect a bridge cable there to give juice again to everything, then open the trunk “normal” via the button in the back. Is there any way to open the trunk somewhere else, or maybe to get to the battery cable in the interior so that I can get juice back on the cart? Thank you for your answers.

Engine is fixed. Engine has a hole = conrod bearing damage. The bearing damage was also the reason why he raced while starting and also the reason for the roaring when accelerating.   • alternative engine oil for XF (X260) 30d

    Hello together, since I, like some of you, am driving around a time bomb of engine in your beautiful vehicle, I did a bit of research. I came across the fact that the V6 diesel from Ford was actually intended for development for a different oil type than today. Lt. Jaguar is to use the engine oil 5-W30 ACEA C1. However, this has a clearly lowered viscosity. In my old Puma Diesel 2.0l (Ford Mondeo MK3) I am Castrol Magnatec 5-W30 A5 able This oil has an HTHS viscosity of 2.9-3.5 mPas. The C1 but only HTHS ~2.9 mPas. The C3 would have HTHS ~3.5 mPas. -> which would be significantly higher… I wonder if Castrol 5-W40 ACEA C3 or 5-W30 ACEA C3 for the Jaguar is the better oil in the long term than the recommended 5-W30 ACEA C1. What do you think? Maybe there is a specialist among you who knows well about engine oil? n / experiences I would be happy.

  • Help – Jaguar XE “Motor performance limited”

    Hello together, I have a big problem with my car and unfortunately nobody can help me from my circle of friends, so I try my luck here. The following facts: I fulfilled my big dream in 2018 and financed a Jaguar XE. I bought the car from a car dealership near me. A few weeks ago came an error message “Motorpower limited” and I could only drive 60km/h, because I was just on my way to the doctor – only 7km. The car was there about 30-45 minutes and the message did not come on the way home, but it smelled like exhaust gases. So I had the car towed and brought it to the Jaguar workshop. – Exhaust gas manifold torn – control chain speeded – brakes etc. Estimate of several thousand euros. I told them to repair only the most necessary thing for the car to drive again. I would have the I think about 4.000€ (7.000€ – with new brakes). 7 days ago a call from the workshop. After or during the test drive smoke came out of the bonnet…Conclusion: Turbocharger defective Today the next call: Cylinder head seal also defective. Repair costs are about 12.00€. How is a person supposed to pay so much money for a repair? I am completely desperate and have NO ARRANGEMENT what I should do. Maybe Jema had And a similar case? Am grateful for any help. ??     Hello dear Jaguar community, it’s so far, I need a new car. Actually I cared with the Mercedes E Coupé (please don’t whistle now) and then stumbled over the XF – and fascinated. A beautiful car at an affordable price. For me unfortunately only in the 2.2 l diesel variant. Now I wonder if with this engine at all driving fun can come up. I like to drive a little more sporty. Is then a Jaguar something for me or is it rather on comfortable dahinrolle n designed? My financial limit is about 54 T€. Which options are useful for a sporty driving pleasure? Or would it be better to grab the 3 liter V6 and save on a few options? What I need in any case is a navigator and a Blutooth hands-free device. Furthermore, I am a friend of the good sound. Is the standard system already enough? Unfortunately, it is as bewitched. I had shot into the Mercedes E Coupé as I said before and then met ic h on this beautiful car.
