Hello together! I’m here in the Jaguar Forum to tell you a very special test drive story and get some advice or help. On Saturday I’m a Jaguar XKR 4.2 Supercharged (X150) Coupe BJ 2007 with a good 110000km test drive. (It would be a pure third-party car just to have some fun) I let the car warm up in the empty run about 50 minutes before and tried everything out and checked for function. The overall condition of the Jags w ar really good. The interior and the maintenance condition as well. In addition, there is evidence that many spare parts have already been renewed. (brakes new, tires new, differential new, drive shafts new….. All in all, the car looked really solid. and drew me by its beautiful look into its spell… Then it went to the test drive(about 50 km): First a small stage through the city then to the country road and the last part should return over the highway So I went up to the highway and let myself be impressed by the acceleration…. Then I just wanted to test out how it accelerates at higher speeds and how the 416 hp feels in its entirety, as this was also offered by traffic technology. As I said, the engine was definitely warm through the country road in front of it and running 50 minutes warm on the yard of the dealer… Anyway, the V max was reached… and shortly after that my partner said, what smells here because so funny? and the XKR got slower and in the rear-view mirror I saw how we pulled a bright cloud behind us…. also out of the vents of the engine hood it smoked brightly out. I then on the side stripes, let the car roll out… or. the automatic has switched down always… until the motor was finally off and I put the XKR into a bay at an emergency call column…. The first thought was. WOW.. what happened now here. the dealer contacted the dealer and were towed by the ADAC (were only about 7 km to the dealer). At the yard of the dealer he tried to start the engine again. The starter did not do but the engine, the dealer then meant with a hand gesture of a cross like a blessing cleric “That’s firm….that’s dead”… On the one hand I am naturally happy that nothing else happened, on the other hand I would never have thought that a motor damage so le ise ist. Because there were no noises. (also no sign at all) I thought at least that it sounds like if you shake a toolbox but it is probably “quietly over-tied” To my question what he still wants for the car with the damage I got no concrete answer, I should make an offer… I once researched something and I also had offers made about the exchange of an engine. In short zw 13500€ and 14500€ the aggegat exchange would definitely cost. W if the rest of the car wasn’t in such a good condition the subject would have been eaten for me long ago, but my thoughts are with the XKR and I’m just thinking about how we can still save this car. And now I’d be happy if I could get a few infos from you here: – What else would you pay for a well-kept XKR with the described damage. – Can consequential damage occur (gear, compressor) ? – Does anyone have experiences with ATM? Is that the beginning of the En I mean, if you renew this heart and you have an open heart surgery, the patints will be healthy again or will it be nothing more? Say, yes, it’s worth it, or don’t touch it and look for one of the intact. Thank you so much, I’m looking forward to your suggestions, tips and Meinugen! Best regards from Southern Germany, Stefan

Test drive XF 3.0 L V6 Diesel S, careful addiction risk
Hello dear Jaguar community. Had the pleasure on Saturday to test the above equipment. Feels absolutely great, chassis, steering and especially the engine with the 8-stage ZF automatic are a class of itself. In spring then a sportbrake should replace our Q5 (3 liter diesel) possibly. However, some questions still remain, which unfortunately only difficult from the brochures, or the Konfig are to be taken from. – What different seats there really were now really, as regards the ergonomics and the adjustableness, in the presenter were 6-way Bond-grain, a little more thigh-bed and better adaptation to the driver would be nice. – Does the navigation have a real voice control (yes-yes, I could have tested, but the engine !! ….) – In the Limo the standard drive and completely o.K., in the sportbrake I would be at the rear air- and front normal suspension as standard, fits that or makes adaptively real sense ! – is this “ambiente lighting” can not be bound to anything like that?

X-Type test drive – where did the sounds come from?
Hi, I’m recently a X-Type 3.0 Sport Bj. 2004 tested. The car is out of the question for different reasons, but I noticed a few noises during the test drive, which I would like to know more about. 1. If you let the car roll and then press the gas again, there is a strong ruck when you switch from the push-off to the acceleration paired with a clearly audible, dull SChlag. Is this normal with the X-Type? 2. If you drive in the 5th gear, you hear a clear fieping especially in the partial load range and at low speeds. At high speeds it was no longer to be heard, but can also have been well on the higher noise backdrop. In other gears it was not to be heard. 3. When driving, a kind of squeaking was already seen when small movements of the steering wheel, as if rubber were rubbing on metal. Are the noises known to anyone or perhaps even normal? Greeting, Nico.

Survey: How satisfied were you with your Jaguar in 2014?
As time is running. The year is already almost around again and it is hopefully an accident-free and eventful driver year behind you. As in the past years, we would like to take stock at the end of the year and ask you how you came with your mobile kit through the year 2014. Was everything to your satisfaction or were there worries and annoyances with your vehicle or the manufacturer’s service? How satisfied were you with your Jaguar in 2014? Vote in the survey and comment your praise or criticism. We have to many manufacturers a direct wire and the manufacturers also read on MOTOR-TALK. That’s why your opinion comes exactly where it should land: at Jaguar.

Buy xj 6
Hello, I’m the Sena and I’m new here. I need your help. The owner of my workshop offers me an xj 6 Bj 92, which comes from a pensioner and has always been maintained with him. The vehicle has 200,000 km on the speedo and has the color British Racing Green with light leather equipment which is also top maintained. Since I drive a Chevrolet Pick Up and have no experience with Jaguar I ask for help before I buy the car. Only my problem is: Whenever I go to the workshop, I fall in love with the car more and more,,,,,,,,,,,,,rolleyes: Thank you

Tyre pressure indicator
In addition, I’ve had to remove the tires from the rear of the car. I’ve had to remove the tires from the rear of the car. I’ve checked the tyre pressure through the display in the cockpit. See there, there were 2,2 bar, instead of the correct target value of 2,5 bar, which was also read on the other three tires as actual value. Thought, no problem, they have filled some average value in the tires without paying attention to the target values. I then filled the correct 2.5 bar with my home compressor. The indicator before filling in was at 2,15 bar. So the 2,2 bar of the cockpit indicator seemed to be correct. The next morning, I risked to get into a longer ride and (of course) read the air pressure in the cockpit again: 2,2 bar! Ok, I thought, because there was some air. Since I was the lead sign of the exit, I didn’t have to go under 2.5 bar.
