  • Gas fuelled…

Hello, unfortunately my Jeep Grand Cherokee IV 3.0 CRD (BJ: 2012) was filled with 84 liters of petrol and started. As a result: The car went out after about 2 minutes, was towed from the ADAC to the workshop and is now standing there… Now I have already read everything possible on the Internet and therefore ask here (in the forum of my trust) if jmd. has experiences in this area… Is cleaning sufficient (following later?) or do some parts have to be exchanged? What costs are we talking about here. I’m great if jmd could help me…

  • Kaufberatung Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD up to 30,000 Euro

Hello, I would like to buy a Cherokee, I have already looked at one in a car dealership and have not made a test drive yet. For me it was important, 6 cylinders diesel with good range, because I drive a lot of highway, sometimes also borders across. It should definitely have proper range. According to fuel monitor, the Cherokee with 93 liters diesel creates more than 1200 km. Is that real, can you confirm that? – I think that goes into the It’s probably 1200 km long. I usually drive with a low speed, not faster than 120 because of speed limits. From the outside, the cherokee made a very good impression, it was high, big wheels, lots of space, really a ride. Is the car reliable? – I don’t want to drive a BMW or VW Touareg anymore, because I have to fight constantly with the cars with repairs, especially the car. i bmw I had invested several thousand euros every half year, that’s just too stupid for me, so I change now. My driving profile is more of a highway. I often travel with the family on holiday (several times a year) and then need a big car to take luggage with me and a good all-bike for mountains…. possibly standing heating.

  • Engine damage after 50,000km Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hello everyone, I have the following problem: About 4 weeks ago I was on my Jeep Grand Cherokee (first registration 11/2015) on the highway towards vacation. Suddenly he started to give funny noises of himself. After the noises became louder, I drove off the highway. Now I was also told by a signal that the oil level was low. When looking into the rear-view mirror I saw that I had lost oil. Just came down the exit and the engine I was informed last week that it was a motor damage. When the engine was defective he had 51,700 km My jeep has all the necessary services behind him. In Nov. I have completed a warranty extension, which says that after 50,000 km I have to carry 10% of the repair costs myself. This would be 1,700 euros which I would have to pay out of my pocket. I have now submitted a certificate request to Jeep. The lady on the phone said, however, d that this is not possible because “from above” such requests are rejected (generally). What do you think about the whole thing? How Kulant is Jeep in such things? Does anyone have experience/tips? Thank you very much

  • Will there be no more Jeep Cherokee?

Today I asked a Jeep dealer about the new Compass. Nice vehicle. At the same time I asked if there will be a version of the Cherokee in the foreseeable future (just the interior => Cockpit – has that in my opinion urgently necessary). The answer surprised me very much. The Cherokee is no longer available. It is not clear if there will be a successor at all. Does anyone know more about this? Which vehicle should this segment then be at Jeep I find it daring to delete the Cherokee. I also noticed that there were disputes about the name.

  • New Jeep Compass (qualitative) really so bad?

I am currently still looking for an alternative to the Volvo XC40 or XC60. Now I have come across the new Jeep Compass, which I also like very much (from the outside). Inside it does not get to the Volvo, at least not according to my aesthetic feeling. But good, ugly he is not and he is a Jeep, but that’s what I think is cool. But what has deterred me very much in my research today is the verdict of the ADAC, which says quite clearly what about the driving However, they don’t really explain how they come to this conclusion. Of course, the issue of poor processing quality makes me listen. What’s worse than with the competitors? Here’s the link to the ADAC: https://www.adac.de/…/detail.aspx?IDTest=5694 Maybe someone has the comparison to other manufacturers or maybe someone has experience with the brand Jeep and its quality. Has this been achieved by the acquisition of FI AT worsened?

  • Steering wheel tweaking when braking down to up to 100km/h

Hello GC-friends. My steering wheel zaps, if I brake the car from over 100km/h down to up to 100km/h. With another downbrake from 100km/h to e.g. 80km/h and further down, there are no problems. Had the same problem once a few months ago and since the car should be sold, I had the repair – with this 6-year-old 140,000km – made for the first time with A.T.U., who diagnosed a defective right brake caliper and at the same time discs and coverings to my Well, 13.000km further, with strong braking, e.g. on BAB or just at over 100km/h on lower speed, the steering wheel tweaking is strong again. What would you do or do you have experiences with it? For information, thank you very much. Bernd.

  • Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD or 3.6i (from BJ 2016 Facelift)?

Good evening, I drove an SRT8 in February which really went off like a zäpfle . But it sucks me too much . Now I am thinking about whether I should try a 3.0 CRD (diesel) and/or 3.6i (petrol) . Equipment from Overland, better Summit . First question about the 3.0 CRD: How does this motor behave in short distance ? The question therefore, because I have only 9km to work . Or would that not cause any problems . Is the engine generally recommended ? Then to the 3.6i (V6 petrol): The short distances Question I don’t need to ask here just gasoline. Is this engine recommended as a gasoline engine or too weak-breasted? Which engine would you rather recommend to me apart from the SRT (drys too much) to be comfortable but also some splashes on the road? What should I also pay attention to with a used from BJ 2016 Facelift, any serious childhood diseases that could go into the money? That’s it for the first time. Thanks in advance.

  • Grand Cherokee srt as a fun car?

Hello, this is my first post in the Jeep Forum, as if you were lenient My last cars were all BMW’s and actually my next one was to become an X4 M40i. Last week I happened to see or heard a Grand Cherokee, the sound was awesome. Since I get a business bus provided and I want to get one for the private rides, I think about buying an SRT. The prices for the vehicles with daily registrations come to me in comparison I wanted to ask the professionals here if this would hurt the vehicle very much? What about the fuel consumption against the SRT? Are there problems due to the dimensions in the parking garage? What about the maintenance costs, insurance and tax? Sorry for the many questions, but as mentioned I did not have the jeep on the screen. Thanks already for your tips.
